    • Again you are talking nothing more than sharpness. Screw drive means nice linked MF with hard stops. Screw drive is also very fast and accurate. I rate every screw drive I own over STM, USM, HSM, SSM and fly by wire any day.  As for AF, I'm sorry you rely on it so much and are obviously incapable of shooting any other way. Most people don't rely on AF for everything and while on occasion a nice feature to have, it's not make or break.  Im sure nobody has ever shot a film with moving subjects with manual focus... ever  It's a total deal breaker.  As for 'amateurish' how is shooting everything with AF not 'amateurish'?  Personally the only time I use the AF is when shooting fast action using 120p. If you would like to point me to a better camera for that feel free. Oh and clearly you're unaware that you can lock your exposure and set your exposure as you need it to be.  Try and see beyond your own little world a bit?
    • No as the flange distance is wrong. Better to trade your Speedbooster for an EF version and then convert your CY lenses to EF with adapters.
    • Just curious how most of the people here afford their gear? Who works full time in video production versus a day job with video as a side gig/hobby? I freelance full time but it's become apparent that I need to figure out a way to get my rates up, since I can never afford anything. I seem to have a very minimal gear list compared to most people on here. What are your secrets?
    • You do realize that the footage is 1080p right? It might have been shot on a 8K camera, but that is 8K before debeyering. The YouTube clip however is not 8K. It is not even 4K, it is 2K. And it shows on a 4K screen. Existing consumer cameras that oversample already shoot at around 6K, so this "terrible future" you are so afraid of is already here.
    • LOL that is funny because it is soooo true. I am sitting in a mall to post this as I have run out of credit with my (prepaid) internet and using free Wifi, wearing a shirt and jumper I purchased from a charity shop (they were absolute bargains and it is the same place I got a couple of pretty good tripods for $5 Australian each).      And am (in part) looking for lenses on Ebay while here!
