I imagine some sort of enhanced battery grip with audio part embedded. Something like the old GH4 battery grip with xlr input or... an updated audio input of the current gh5 one. -

They really needed to develop a cheaper lens, even if means a compromise on image quality, even if it means it is slower (but not slower than f4) to cater to the wide angle needs of S9 users. 20mm f4 would have been a fantastic lens for the selfie shooter. Throw in a mid-wide like a 35mm f2.8 at a very cheap price, and you'd have lots of happy S9 users. -
From memory.... yes? (in the case specifically of the Sonys) As they use their proprietary smart shoe connection, which connects to the base of the handle. But then at the top of the handle there is another proprietary smart shoe connection which is where the audio module is attached to it.

Gerald didn’t mention any of this in his recent video? He’s clearly well out of the loop. I reckon they all also got those secret flying cars but just can’t talk about it under NDA and don’t get to ‘keep them’, but can use them for the duration of their life to fly backwards and forwards to Japan for every new camera launch. I’m seriously considering switching my status from working photographer to industry shill…
