My cameras and kit

  1. Hi, my cage for GH4/3 is for sale. Never used. I thought I can use it with GH5, but it does not fit. PRICE: 37 euros + shipping. Shipping from Slovakia to EU.
  2. Ok guys, here you have the Intro of Brokenman, the first 5 min, thanks for supporting the movie, I hope you enjoy....coming soon full movie.... thanks for sharing.. Lumix GH3 +Tokina 11-16(2.8), Voigtlander 25mm (0.95)
  3. Hey guys! I'm looking to get into video work, and I'm trying to figure out which camera would best suit my needs. I'm looking for a camera with great stills as well as video. The 3 main contenders for me are panasonic's gh3 and g6 and Nikon's d5300. All of them offer full HD at 24 at 60fps, which is crucial for me. They also all have a 3.5mm jack for external microphone. These specs are similar, but Panasonic's seem to be better for video. If it was video alone, I would choose the Panasonic cameras. But, I'm also looking for great stills. Right now I have the sony a58, and I don't want any
  4. Hi fox ! This is my last edit, a short film about freestyle snowboarding. A beautiful day in a marvelous park (La Clusaz) with the two killers Matteo Cuny and Nicolas Palladio. Top of the pop, we finished with a beautiful sunset. So glad and happy to have shot this. Comments are welcome dudes! Some pics of the session can be found here : http://www.switchmag.fr/decouverte/2015/11391-session-park-a-la-clusaz-matteo-cuny-nico-palladio.html
  5. I began discussing this in another thread, but it was off-topic, so here it is: I'm ready to invest in some primes for my GH3 (I've got the 12-35 and 35-100mm zooms). I do mostly handheld street shooting, but I would like to branch out into short films one day. Question 1: If I don't already own any legacy lenses, is there any advantage to buying full frame lenses + adaptors over u43 lenses like Voigt or SLR Magic (apart from cost?). Question 2: Are cheap adaptors fine for video use? Question 3: How about the Samyang/Rokinon cine lenses? Question 4: Also, right now, I'm alread
  6. Hi anamorphic friends, I'm working a lot these past months so I post less than usual ;) Here is a teaser of the new album of Arthur H, a famous french singer. It was done before last summer, shot on GH3 + my baby Hypergonar 1.75x on my Qioptiq 35mm f1.6 MeVis-C C-mount lens. Badfully I didn't have the GH4 yet ;) My actual work is a 26mn Making Of a long feature movie, shot by me in 4K anamorphic in Ethiopia last november. Stay tune. Thanks
  7. Please have a look at the music promo I made using a kowa 8-Z anamorphic adaptor, mounted on a voigtlander Nokton 35mm F1.2, using a Lumix GH3. I also had a Tokina .4 achromat and a Cokin Diopter +2 for the Close ups. It was all shot at night which presented problems as the Lumix isn't very good in low light. I was shooting at 50fps which reduced the amount of light I had even further. I also found that if the lens was fully open it was difficult to get a focus. Not because it was too shallow, but because it wouldn't focus on anything! As you can see I over-cranked the ISO on occas
  8. Good Day! I'm new to the site and new to video work, but I've been lurking around the forums and Review Articles for a while now, trying to figure out what camera I should pick. While totally new to serious videography, I've been doing photography and very light video on the side for about 6 years, so I wouldn't say I'm blind to the more enthusiast thresholds of acceptable quality. With that in mind, I've narrowed it down to two models. Well... one. Two. Maybe just one. Possibly two. GX7. Or GH3. Currently I'm heavily leaning towards the GX7 as: - I assume focus peaking
  9. An afternoon at Freeman's Mill park in GA. The camera was an afterthought to the trip, so I didn't have a tripod with me.
  10. Ok guys, here is the trailer(final) of "Brokenman" hope you like it, thanks for sharing Lumix GH3+voigtlander 25mm f/0.95+Tokina 11-16 mm f2.8
  11. I was offered the newest GoPro black edition for my birthday. We didn't buy it yet but while researching I red the newest GoPro's have a very low battery life. I'm combining GH3 footage with the GoPro footage. - Which GoPro would you recommend? - Perhaps the earlier version which has longer battery life? I don't want to take more then 2 batteries. - Anybody experiences with the wasabi batteries? - What things should I take into consideration when filming with both? Thanxs for the help!
  12. First try shooting FMX, not very easy ... Happy by the way, a nice afternoon in my big friend Julien's backyard. Goog vibes and atomic riding from a passionate guy. Go on dude, you're on the right way ;-) Shot & Edit: Julien Miscischia Camera: Panasonic GH3 Codec: MOV 50mbps IPB [email protected] PAL Lenses: Olympus 45mm 1.8, Panasonic 14-42mm OIS kit lens, Canon FD 35-105mm 3.5, Helios 135mm 2.8 with Fader ND Profile: Natrual -5,-5, 0, -5 Edit and grade: Premiere Pro CS6, After Effect CS6, FilmConvert Music: Sleepless (Fakear remix) soundcloud.com/fakear/sleepless-fakear-remix soundcloud.co
  13. Hello! I recently picked up a GH3 and am wondering what lens setup to purchase. I have done some research and am thinking about these two options. 1. Metabones Speedbooster with a Sigma 30mm 1.4 II (Nikon Mount) as I had the old Sigma 30mm 1.4 on my 550D and loved it! 2. Voigtlander 25mm f0.95 and the SLR Magic 12mm f1.6. Would love to know what you guys think! Thanks :)
  14. Hi all, I'm looking to get more into video- some short films, some video work- nothing serious, and I don't need the absolute best quality. I just want a decent bitrate, minimal rolling shutter/moire/etc., decent low light performance, etc.- something that's good enough where the quality of my videos are distracting because they're bad enough to be noticeable to the average person. The GH4 seems like a huge step up in video compared to the GH3, but It's like twice as expensive, and I can't see myself using 4K (I'm assuming that would require a more powerful computer to edit, hard drive
  15. I think you might be interested to discover those 2 videos One is the trailer, one is the complete making of IF you like car chase, stunt and exciting stuff, you should have a look It is a remake of Fast and Furious made in China by the usual stunt team of Fast and furious 4 month shooting near Shanghai and I directed, edited and partly shot this Making of. 16. A sort-of mini-documentary about 30/4 Park in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, this is the first time I've gone out and actually interviewed people in a long while. I don't think buying a new camera is going to make me a better shooter, but I'm hoping that the GH4 won't have the horribly distracting aliasing seen in the guitar strings in some of the shots. I would also like to use some primes like the Nikkor AI-S lenses, so hopefully the peaking function in the new camera will allow me to focus while shooting. I may have to take this video down shortly because it contains copyrighted music. But t
  17. Hey folks, so I did a search of the forums looking for a topic that discussed the question I'm asking, but didn't come up with anything conclusive, other than that many purchasers of the Glidecam HD 1000 regretted their purchase and wished they had bought the 2000. I'm trying to decide what the best option is for my GH3––I currently shoot with the 14mm f2.5, and would like to use a Glidecam. I'd also want to use my Rode Video Mic and heavier lenses possibly in the future. Does anyone here with GH3/Glidecam experience have any pointers? Which Glidecam is best for the GH3 with accesso
  18. Sorry can't find how to delete a post. If someone knows, please let me know! Sorry again for wasting your time.
  19. Made my own music video to showcase one of my songs. It's electronic music aka melodic dubstep. Anyhow... made this with my GH2 and GH3. All details in the description. If you like the music better alone its available online on the major streaming sites. Enjoy.
  20. GH3 vs. GH4 vs. BMPCC Comparison
  21. I have a GH2, D800 and 60d. So far the GH4 looks like a very sensible next step, but typically I have 2 big jobs that need shooting before it'll be out. I have a speedbooster, and a growing collection of nikon glass. I do a lot of wide lens stuff currently with the tokina 11-16, but I miss the canon 10-22, bigger range and less barrel distortion. I shoot a bit of timelapse now and then Theres only about $250 separates g6, d5300, and gh3. Don't especially shoot in low light, but have found the gh2 blocky noise and fizz in the shadows to be an issue. If the G6 is no different in that
  22. On an impulse I've decided to go to Japan. Here's a glimpse of what I saw.
  23. A short edit from a pure sunny day with talented riders. Everything shot with the GH3, all Natural -5, -5, 0, -5, 1080p @ 50Mbs MOV I've used Olympus 12mm f2 and 45mm f1.8. Some shots with ETC mode, mostly handheld with the Aputure MagicRig. Edit in Premiere Pro CS6, some correction with Fast Color Correction. Your comments are welcome !
