My cameras and kit

  1. For sale a rare 1937 Leitz Hektor Rapid 27mm f1.4 cinema lens (s/n 417161) for the Bolex H16 cinema camera. The lens covers full m43 sensor with a little vignetting and soft corners, great for cropped sensor of BMPCC, BMMCC, BMPCC4K (S16 mode). Examples of photos taken on a Lumix GX800 camera. The condition for its age is excellent: the case is clean with little signs of use, there are some dust and a bubble inside (this is typical of pre-war Leitz lenses), I did not notice the effect on the picture. The lens has been professionally serviced. A complete disassembly, cleaning and lubricati
  2. Nippon Kogaku Japan Cine-NIKKOR 25mm F/1.8 wide angle lens. Close focus up to 2 feet / .6 meter. Nippon Kogaku Japan Cine-NIKKOR 10mm F/1.8 wide angle lens. Close focus up to 1 foot / .3 meter. Bought on eBay, used with C-Mount to Micro Four Thirds lens mount on Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera. Optically in excellent condition. Inside no specks of dust, haze, oil scratches that I can detect. Clicks work as expected. Focus is smooth. Cosmetically clean on outside. Very good for its age. Close focus up to 2 feet / .6 meter. Very light weight, and tiny size. Smallest lens I've ev
  3. I imagine people here are going to be wary of buying considering certain recent events on the forum, but you can confirm my authenticity easily as my video company is well established online (just Google "Lintelfilm") and I'm happy to Skype etc if anyone has questions. I'd prefer to sell to UK but am open to offers from elsewhere, and preferably only to regular forum members. Postage not included but will be charged at cost. My name is Matt - I haven't hung out here for a while but older forum members will remember me (probably mainly from my various unnecessary spats with Mr Reid!). Andy Lee
  4. Hey guys, I have a SpeedBooster for the Pocket and the Micro for sale, Canon EF lens version. Asking price is 450€ I'm in Italy and I can ship to Europe for fair prices and even WW if needed (postal or UPS). BTW I also have a brand new Wooden Camera cage for the BMMCC plus the Wooden Camera PL Mount Pro kit for it in another thread
  5. Hey all, I'm looking to shoot a narrative short film with controlled lighting early next year and am thinking about shooting it on my original BMPCC... I know, I know. No 4K, terrible low-light, and horrible battery life. But if 1080p was fine, controlled lighting throughout, and an external battery solution, is it better for me to use the original and cancel my 4K pre-order? I could use the money saved to pay for an additional cine prime/actually pay actors a decent wage... What would be the advantages in this case of using the 4K over the original?
  6. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cine-NIKKOR-25mm-F-1-8-Nippon-Kogaku-C-Mount-Wide-Angle-lens-ADAPTER-Included/112964898960 Great condition lens + micro four thirds adapter. Used it on my blackmagic micro cinema camera. Lens is made for 16mm sensor. $315.00 USD.
  7. Hi, I've got a BMMCC for sale. I've only used it three times. It comes with 6 batteries and a charger, and a Smallrig cage. Another equipment I'm selling is the Metabones Speed Booster for BMPCC. Both are in great shapes. No signs of use on the Micro, and the optics of the metabones is perfect. Price is 750 euro for BMMCC and 400 euro for Speed Booster.
  8. Shot in Rec709 and ProResLT! ha Quick BTS on my YT channel: The final edited result is already up: And this is how a clip looked straight out of camera (you can even hear how I recorded the right track at a lower level than the left track! Intentionally so as a safety measure):
  9. Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum but have been following it for a while. I'd like to share some music videos I shot for an electronic music album I wrote and just released. They were all filmed on the Blackmagic pocket cinema camera. The videos are essentially camera tests, but I tried to capture the mood of the music when putting it all together. I used the Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 and 55-200mm f3.5-5.6 lens with a Metabones speed booster (Nikon mount), and also the Panasonic Lumix 14-42mm kit lens and Olympus 9mm bodycap lens for the 4th video here. Editing and colour was done on Davin

  13. I did a rough test between three cameras: the Nikon D750, Lumix GH2, and Black Magic Pocket Camera. I wanted to see how their videos compared in general. I'm swamped in work, so I couldn't make this as good as I wanted. I literally shot it on lunch break from a day job at an PR firm. However, I think the results are clear and I wanted to share the video and a link to my blog with you guys in hopes that others can learn or give me some good feedback on questions I raise. I'm rusty on the whole shooting thing because I've devoted the last 3 years to teaching and commercial work/writing. It
  14. In the process of updating some equipment. Had this for about a year and though I love it, my work is moving in a direction where it's not as practical. I have some basic accessories, and the voigtlander 17.5mm. There is some cosmetic wear, but overall everything is in solid condition and works perfectly. This cam has been a great little work horse. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171860800251?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.com/itm/171859860073?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Voigtlander listing is ending very soon!
  15. Hi guys, I was just having a look on b&h at the ef to bmpcc speed boosters and found two different versions listed: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1064603-REG/metabones_mb_spef_bmpcc_bm1_canon_ef_to_bmpcc.html and http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1174582-REG/metabones_mb_spef_bmpcc_bt1_metabones_canon_ef_lens.html I was just wondering if anyone knows what the 'T' in the second link means? Is it an updated version? Thanks.
  16. Pretty much the final edit for this short music doc - if you see anything that just sticks out like a sore thumb, please say (after a while you just stop seeing things). 17. I got in on the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera (bmpcc) fire sale and in preperation for receiving my new camera I have been researching neutral density filters. What I would like to know is what are people's preferences between single ND filters and variable ND filters. And also your thoughts on IR filtration for the bmpcc. I already know if you go the "straight" variable ND route Tiffen seems to be a good trade off as far as quality and price. Dave Dugdale did an incredible review of "straight" variable ND filters. Honestly it is amazing it took an amateur like Dave to do such a test
  18. Does anyone know how much frame coverage LOMO's 16mm lenses get? Will the Kinor 16 lenses cover the BMPCC's S16 sensor? I ask because Kinor 16 lenses are dirt cheap on ebay, right now I can only find this one but I seem to recall there being a few more options (a 10mm and an 8mm and some longer options maybe?)
  19. Hi, I´m using a Sigma 18-35 1.8 with a Metabones Speed Booster on my BMPCC. What I noticed is that the left side of the image isn´t perfectly in focus while the right side is spot-on. If I try to get the left side as sharp as possible, the middle of the picture and the right side will be slightly out of focus. Please take a look at the pictures below. Notice how the very left side seems to be quite blurry, while the right side isn´t that bad. The aperture was 2.5. '> '> I´ve tried two Sigma 18-35 and two different Speed Boosters, but the results were exactly the same. H
  20. I'm starting to set myself up a small videography business: just a one-man-band doing local stuff - community group promos, weddings, etc. I'm still working on the website (www.lintelfilms.co.uk) and have just finished the 2nd draft of my promotional film. I'd really appreciate your feedback on the film. I don't mind at all if you are brutal!
  21. Looks like my BMPCC is dying. Or something is wrong with it. I've had it for a few months, and it worked just fine until now. With the latest firmware update. I haven't used it for the past three weeks, and it has been stored appropriately in a closet during that time. Today I took it out to prepare it for a shoot, and noticed that it wouldn't power on normally. First I thought the battery had dried out inside it, so I swapped it. Same result. When I press the power button, the screen will flash on like it normally does, but after that the camera goes dark, in less than a full second.
  22. For those of you who want to look at beautiful footage--don't look!!! :) For those, like me, who will watch even the worst camera tests, then there may be something here for you. I adore the BMPCC, but the GM1 is very close, almost perfect, when you don't require subtle color and wide DR. I have the Sony 10-18mm lens on the a7 (which it isn't made for). Casual shooting with the Sony a7 and 10-18mm as long shot. Max is shooting with a Panasonic GM1 and an old Panasonic 14-45 lens with external OIS button (useful for BMPCC). Frank is shooting with a BMPCC and Olympus 17mm/1.8 lens
  23. Hi forum. This is my development for BMPCC http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tr-6hdQPlUk
  24. This is a promotional reel I've just made for the small videography business I'm currently setting up (one-man-band doing local community organisations, weddings etc). Everything in it was shot on low-end/cheap cameras, several of which have been discussed and compared extensively on this forum over the last year or two. To boot, other than the Tokina 11-16mm all of the lenses were each bought for under $300. After a couple of enquiries about the gear I used for this reel, I've decided to add subtitles to show each camera (and lens) each shot was taken with. Just click the 'CC' button in t
