  1. Well, it’s been 8 months since I completed this and almost a year since I promised @mercer to post it once completed I don’t really know what to say about this, it’s my first short and I wanted to try this medium after trying music, photography, drawing/painting and all sorts of writing in order to figure out myself and my depression. It took me months to complete due to my mental state and lack of energy and I intended to post this sooner, but life can be a little too much sometimes. Or very often in my case. Even though it was the hardest creative thing I’ve done in my life,

  3. Hey guys, Just wanted to share a promo I just made for DKNY with the Sony a7S. This was made as a tribute to my beautiful wife, Kari, whom passed in August 2015 from Cystic Fibrosis - a chronic illness with no known cure. Every shot but the New York B-roll was with the a7S (recorded in 4K by the Atomos Ninja Flame), and graded with FilmConvert. I hope you enjoy the video. Please let me know what you think! Best wishes, Bradley

  9. Hey fellas! Recently ditched my 5D3 for A7s. Mostly because of low light stuff but also for better slomo capabilities. Yesterday I tried 120p for the first time but I totally forgot about the flicker and WB was on auto so it doesn't went too well. Any tips on shooting extreme slomo indoors?

This is a recent short that I did. My wife and I were originally making it to use as a sort of announcement that we were having a baby (only our immediate family knew about it) but I also wanted it to stand alone as a fun little short. After shooting the bulk of the footage my wife went into labor the next day so we had to do all of the quick zoom/close-up shots weeks after. Better late than never! Since I was unfortunately in the video, I had to rely on my wife for shooting most of it and when we couldn't operate the camera ourselves, we called over my Dad and a friend in the middle of the

It was a really nice experience to work with Canon C100. I pushed the ISO up to 4000 because i wanted to see how much noise will be generated. Of course there is some grain in the picture but the low light ability of the Canon C100 is still amazing. Working with the Compact Prime Lenses was uncomplicated. The Magnifier Button, which operates also during recording is an amazing

  18. This question is ultimately for a lens to pair with my anamorphic lenses, but it applies to non-anamorphic shooters as well so I have posted it outside of the anamorphic forum.   Looking at adapters, it appears the shortest flange distances (and thus, adapters) are C-mount, Contax, M39, and Pen F in roughly that order.   My only criteria is that the lens would need to be at the very least 45mm (maximum 85mm), and with a non-rotating front -- you'll see that this eliminates most "pancake" lenses.   The M39 Industar 50 (50mm f/3.5) and Contax Zeiss Tessar 45mm f/2.8 look lik
  19. This is my short film 'Light' I've been making over the last month using a Canon 600d with Pentax lenses.   http://vimeo.com/69428988   It's a short (90 second) simple story about a lighthouse getting through the night, and features lots of experiments in cinematography - all done on my kitchen table with reversed and macro lenses and a lot of ice!   We used a Canon 600D (with Pentax adapter for my lenses) for the film itself as the manual control on this camera, the full HD digital zoom ability and swivel screen made it very useful for those tiny close ups! The film is al
  20. https://vimeo.com/67606128 A summer day in a boring small town in the mid 90's.   This is my latest short film, and more or less the first narrative short I've done.   There are some minor dialog in Swedish, but you probably won't miss out if you don't understand. The story is mostly told with visuals.   It was shot on a Panasonic Lumix GH2 with the "SANITY" hack.   Shot on the following glass: Panasonic 14mm f2.5 Pancake Panasonic 14-140mm f/4-5.8 kit lens Helios 44M 58mm f2 Vivitar 28mm f2.5 Fujian 35mm f1.7 C Mount CCTV Lens from ebay   Edited in Ad

  22. http://i.imgur.com/7SnNqob.png   The new poster for my upcoming short just got finished, linked above. What do you guys make of it? It's mainly to advertise the facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/PassingByShortFilm).   Any tips for where to put it and where best to advertise a short film?   Apologies if I broke any forum rules, I know it's not strictly footage.
