Cheap Vario ND's are junk even if some are better than others with regards to sharpness on longer focal lengths as only the very best ones have multi coatings which eliminate flare from the 4 air-glass surfaces. if you can't afford the top end B+W's with MC (which can be as much as a half descent lens) you are much better off with a set of fixed ND's where even cheaper ones have MC.
