    Sony FS5 Camera

I have a great condition Sony FS5 that is a little less than a year old for sale. (I would rather not sale, but I am in between projects and the next one planned will require a very different setup than I use now.) It is in great condition, no drops, non smoking studio. The only problem in full disclosure is the small EVF on the back was bumped in the case a few months ago. It works fine, but the adjustment diopter gets stuck. Now honestly, I have NEVER used the little EVF. Too small for anything useful. You can adjust it and can see it fine. Otherwise, it is in great condition. Sony FS5 Body and original box contents. new currently $4750 For Sale at $3700 including PayPal and Shipping to the US. Fs5 Body and factory box contents (U30 battery, charger, AC adapter, LCD display, Grip, Remote, Mic Holder, Eyecup, etc) contact me through this forum or at ( newadam at mastersmedia . com )

  8. Hello! I've referenced this website for trouble-shooting as any other lurker for the last few years, but finally set up an account and logged in recently. Figured I'd introduce myself and start joining the conversations, starting with posting my first camera reel. Except for shooting speaker events and conferences, all footage was shot exclusively with my Sony PMW-F3, and much of that was recorded via my Convergent Design Gemini 444 with S-Log. For this project, I did the colour in Premiere CC's Lumetri Panel, using Tangent's Element-Vs app for fine-tuning. (for more detailed work, I often print in Resolve free). The conferences are typically the resulting file from live-editing jobs, where we record with Canon XA30s into a Roland V-1HD and recorded on an Atomos recorder. We're still waiting on our automated pan/tilt heads before we can kick that business into high gear.

Red One MX Package / Europe - 3500€

    - Red One Mysterium-X body - PL Mount - Nikon Mount - 6x 16GB Red CF cards - Red SDI HD adapter - Red Pro LCD + cable - Magic arm - Red Cradle - AC adapter - Top handle + rails The camera doesn't have any problem. Has low hours (I think around 600h, but I can confirm it). It's located in Lisbon, Portugal. Price: 3500€ + shipping Email: [email protected]
  12. The package includes: - Red One camera (around 300h) - PL Mount - Red Cradle - Red Pro LCD (has a small mark but works fine) + cable - 2x Red Drives (640GB and 120GB) + cable - Top handle and 2 rails The camera works fine but when is powered continuously for 7/8 hours some small red dots start showing in the image. I heard this is normal, it's due to sensor overheating. It was never a problem for me because I use it for 2/3 hours continuously maximum and then I turn it off to change set or batteries and the red dots never show up. The camera is located in Lisbon, Portugal. Price: 2500€ + shipping Email: [email protected]
  13. Our new Crowdfunding project: First adjustable camera slider The idea was to develop the first ever adjustable curve slider which enables linear tracks as well as any preferred curve track. Due to its mechanic flexibility, one man operator can achieve easily different dynamic effects. The Multislider is motorized, time-lapse capable and can also be operated by hand. In case you like the project and/or the multi slider you can support us our Crowdfunding project. The goal is to optimizing the prototype for high volume production. Please help us and share our link. Thank you „smile“-Emoticon Link Crowdfunding Project: https://www.startnext.com/de/multislider Link Video: https://vimeo.com/143790096

Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera users now have audio level metering, time remaining indicator and histograms, bringing the cameras’ display functions, into line with 4K and newest URSA models. http://www.newsshooter.com/2014/08/21/blackmagic-design-firmware-1-9-3-finally-offers-audio-level-meters-time-remaining-indicator-and-histograms-to-the-pocket-cinema-camera-and-bmcc/
  16. While filming in Brazil in April (not over 30°C) I noticed that the colour on my BMPCC's buttons was "washing" away while I touched them. I'm NOT using my finger nail here. Does anyone else have that problem or has heared of it?
  17. Hi everyone! So I need help on picking a camera, I've also sucked at deciding in general. Basically I need it to film videos for my vlog, some of me at home and others me filming protests. If it was just videos at home of me talking I wouldn't care that much, but filming protests means the camera has to do well in different lighting, specifically low light, and it has to deal with a lot of people moving around. Another important thing is audio, because during protests I might ask someone some stuff and I'd like the viewer to be able to hear them. I know DSLR's don't do very well in that aspect, although you can buy a separate thing for that. I'm not sure about budget yet, I am a student though so don't suggest anything more than $800ish while I figure what I can afford. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you :)
  18. Hi, I'm both videographer and photographer. Recently I try to use BMPCC as a still photography tool. Ya it's experimental but it gives some nice and unique results and images. Why do this when there are 16-36Mpix cameras? see this post in my blog: http://kwaibun.asia/index.php/blackmagic-avant-garde-way-of-photography/ Kwai
  19. which camera to choose? best bang for the buck??? (if purchasing) (will need soon for commercial with small crew)
  20. DSLR sales are down 12.4% in the Americas... but the real headline number is mirrorless sales have tanked by almost 47%! http://www.bobatkins.com/photography/decline_of_the_DSLR.html I got that quote and those figures from Bob Atkins' site. I have been going to his site for years for insightful reviews of photographic equipment. It was pretty much one of the first sites I went to when I first started getting into digital photography. I think he sums up the situation best with this quote... Another interesting thing to note about his article is what is missing when talking about what ails the camera market. The word "video" is almost entirely missing from the article. It is mentioned once in relation to auto focus and PRAISING the Canon 70D and then at the end of the article when he is stating it is not a feature he cares about. I actually found that article while lurking on another forum where people were discussing Canon's future plans. It was interesting because none of the thread participants mentioned video. Actually one person mentioned the 5D MK II being "hyped" because it had video capabilities. That was it. Canon won't be launching any revolutionary mirrorless products in the US because that market is infinitely more unappealing than the DSLR market. I won't hold my breath for much innovation in the Rebel line of cameras regarding video. Canon's target market doesn't really seem to notice nor care whether the video is great or not. If great video was the solution to what ails Canon then why are mirrorless sales (ie Panasonic GH3, G6, etc) plummetting? http://www.businessinsider.com/mirrorless-camera-sales-disappoint-2013-12 I can't see anyone at Canon suggesting Canon go down the Panasonic rabbit hole.
  21. Good evening guys, I'm searching for a very fast or the fastest lens for the BMPCC. Then fastest I can think of is the Nikon AI 50mm / 55mm f/1.2 in combination with the BMPCC-Speedboster. Do you have another (better) advice? BTW: It's mostly for concert and nighttime shooting and perhaps to get a nice DOP. Thanks a lot! Moe
  22. Hey Guys. I'm absolutely new in anamorphic shooting and I'm just getting a BMPCC (Which means it will be present in about 5 months or so :D) I'm thinking about getting a bit into anamorphic shooting. I like the "look" of it very much, because it simply creates a whole different feeling than a "normal" 16*9 image. So I have a few questions: How should/can I start shooting anamorphic with the BMPCC? What lens / adapter+lens can be used with the Pocket? It should not be too expensive as I'm just beginning and want to get a bit in touch with it. What do I have to think of in terms of workflow? -> During Production and of course especially in Postproduction? I hope these questions do not sound to stupid or naive :D Greetings from germany.

    BMCC playback

Hello, everyone. Perhaps this may seem like a silly question, but I could not find the answer anywhere! After we record in RAW on the Blackmagic, can we playback the clips on the camera lcd? It seems like a no brainer, but I have never held one and was a bit preoccupied because of the playback troubles on the 5D3 ML RAW.
  24. This is a little 2 minutes short film we shot with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera. It is our first major field test of the camera and we weren't disapointed at all. We shot with a Canon 50mm 1.8 & SLR Magic 25mm 0.95. Coming from a DSLR background, I was really surprised how well he dynamic range really held up. We shot ProRes for everything except the opening and closing shots which we shot RAW. We used one bounce card but the rest was available light.    It's titled: "Le Rire". As you can probably tell by the heavy-handed french music, we were aiming for the feel of a pixar-esque short. Hope you enjoy!    http://youtu.be/icVmrZWD77A   As far as post production goes I edited in Premiere and mixed audio in Audition. Color correction/grade with Colorista II. A light pass of film grain was added via an "editwithlight" filmscan overlay thingy.     Thoughts? We love feedback!    Thanks, Luke Starring: Madeline Pickens & Jared Locke Written, Directed and Edited: Luke Covert Director of Photography: Myles  Extras: Michael Good Production Assistant: Allie Amstutz Le Rire is french for "Laughter"
  25. Does anyone know if it's possible to create a good "recipe" for converting BMCC raw video to something similar to what the BMCC camera would create when it outputs Film Log ProRes - preferably using Adobe Camera Raw and After Effects? (I'll be using Resolve at some point, but I'm waiting for the new MacPro's to upgrade, and my 2012 Pre-Retina MacBook Pro can't handle Resolve).   To be more clear: I'd like to shoot RAW, but immediately batch convert to something that closely resembles what I would get if I had shot ProRes422 Film Log.     Is there such a recipe?  Or does the BMCC apply something more like a changeable algorithm to create it's ProRes Log?   So... what kind of curve, saturation, highlight control, shadow control, sharpening, noise reduction, etc... would you be best to use if you were willing to do a batch convert and then grade the ProRes afterward?  There may not be a "one-click" solution but my current workflow is brutally slow.   Thanks for any help anyone can be,   -Aaron
