So whatever it is what you are testing
How are the noise levels comparing it to a GH4? As on the GH4 iso1600 was unusable for me. Hopefully on this new camera there will be a massive improvement on this department. And how about the Dynamic Range, is it small upgrade or quite good? And finally is it still the same codec or could we expect something different like h265?

I am not sure why everybody wants IBIS, do you all shoot handheld? If I may add another crazy feature request, please add RAW video (but I am pretty sure they will not ).

Yeah A7S iso's are crazy and are almost never needed. However a clean iso 1600 or 3200 would be very welcome. Like when you are running run and gun with an anamorphic lens, and you can only open up to 2.8 or 5.6 and you do not have access to any lights (yeah I know it is like 0,00001% of you guys that are doing this, but this is something that I would welcome). I dont need IBIS or autofocus. I shoot with manual lenses and I use grip to stabilize (gymbals, dolly's, glidecams).
So my wishlist besides the 10bit:
- Clean iso up to 3200
- Hopefully 1 or 2 stops better DR
- hopefully the image is better then the GH4 with a external recorder.
- Anamorphic desqueeze internal(probably not likely)
- Cropmarks
- improved v-log
- better codec

I disagree, before I knew anything about camera's or filmmaking I was somebody from the audience, and I could always tell if the movie looked bad or not. When the first digital films came out, I just hated the look. I didnt even knew it was digital back then, I just thought It just doesnt look good. (years later, I can tell you it was the lack of high DR, highlights were overexposed, the image was too sharp, stuff that I didnt was used too before). Ok I was a more serious film enthousiast then your average cinema visitor. But there are millions like me out there, and its those serious film enthousiast who still make a difference in cinema sales & DVD purchases.

Well I just saw "blood father" last night, and I was thinking why did the director did not shoot another take of this scene, and gave the actors some feedback as this clearly is not working. But I have also been on a set, where I had to shoot a scene 29 times, because the actors didnt deliver 100%, and in the end it was not much better then the first 28 takes. But we lost a lot of shooting time, so we had to cut a lot of other shots, and just use the master shot of that scene.

Whilst the rumoured and specs are looking tasty, it will all come down to one thing: the image.
I was a GH3 owner due to the nice 1080p and 60fps that barely any other small camera had at the time. However I didn't upgrade to the GH4 because I found the image to be very very very similar to the GH3. Of course, in 4k it looked way more detailed - but it wasn't a huge leap in the overall image. The lowlight on the GH4 was actually worse.
Also I feel 10-bit is way better implemented in some cameras than others. For example, the 10-bit in FS7 is significantly better than the FS5's 10-bit. Better codec and more data.
For those who have the GH4 and an external recorder, have you found the 10-bit to be a big step up? Does V-log grade nicely from the external recording? If the implementation of 10-bit in the GH5 falls back on the codec and bitrate, it becomes a far less exciting camera. So it's worth knowing how the GH4 performs with it's 10-bit signal to ProRes recording.

Yeah likewise, I do kinda like the images, but something is off (sharpness, resolution) the videos I have seen look like SD footage to me. Not sure if it is a camera thing, or the uploaders mistake.

Have you shot any 5D III RAW footage? As for narrative at least for me it also blows away any GH4, A7S. For event filming and such I would agree to shoot on a A7SII or GH4, as the edit needs to be delivered fast.

call or email them - they make them in tons of shapes and sizes - I've used them on set on 4x4 frames, 6' and 8' - and on rifa lights and other soft boxes.
eggcrates are extremely useful at controlling spill
