EOSHD Pro Color for Sony cameras EOSHD Pro LOG for Sony CamerasEOSHD C-LOG and Film Profiles for All Canon DSLRs

Something like this would be rather suitable for that I think: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1009621-REG/sigma_635_101_24_105mm_f4_dg_os.html .

Or if in need of something faster either of these perhaps: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/845339-REG/Tamron_SP_24_70mm_f_2_8_DI.htmlhttp://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1083947-REG/tamron_sp_15_30mm_f_2_8_di.html . If too pricey: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/652136-USA/Tamron_AFB005C700_SP_AF_17_50mm_f_2_8.html . Of course, you could go for Canon f/4 L lenses too. But that's it pretty much narrowed down, I think.

Unless you'd consider IS primes... Tamron have some really interesting ones now; they are the flavors 35mm, 45mm and 85mm f/1.8. There's a 90mm f/2.8 Macro too. And Canon has a couple that would be sweet too; there's the 24 and 28mm f/2.8 and 35mm f/2.

not to start a new topic...which is the best non metabones speedbooster nowadays?

I'm using Zhongy's Lens Turbo. The edges might be slightly softer than with the Metabones SB, but isn't really noticable, and for the 150 USD price, I'm absolutely fine with that.

An interesting alternative will be APUTUREs new DEC adapter for around 450 bucks.

Anyone experience with the new Tamron 85mm/1.8 VC? Lenstip has a review about it:
http://www.lenstip.com/472.1-Lens_review-Tamron_SP_85_mm_f_1.8_Di_VC_USD.html
It would be nice to see some real life tests with this new baby.

I find the lens interesting, one of the reasons being that it seems to resemble the Zeiss design - without the big price tag of the latter

I'm in love with the zeiss milvus 21mm and 50mm

Thanks for posting kdzrevil. I regret not having purchased the Milvus 50mm f/1.4 myself: I ended up getting the far less expensive Sigma, and while it's a great lens, the focus throw is way too short for video.  Your clip looks like it has had a lot of sharpening added in post, I believe I see haloing around the edges of everything.

@jonpais I added +10 sharpening in adobe premiere lumetri because for some reason the image compressed better on vimeo with the extra detail. Either way anything coming out of the nx1 is going to look sharpened because of the sheer amount of resolution downscaled from a 6.5k sensor to a 4k image which gets downscaled even further to 1080

Got some used stuff today.

The two Voigtlanders are in absolute mint condition but very cheap. The camera was in good condition with the desirable brass patina. The lenses had two years warranty and the camera one + the regular Leica warranty for fabrication errors.

I wanted the camera since I love editing Raw on my phone and I enjoy range finders. A happy accident is that Leica M adapts to Panasony and Fuji. And they of course cover the full s35 of my LS300.

The build quality of the lenses are just like they usually are with Voigtlander, Excellent!

Smooth, all metal and solid.

Here are a few quick shots from my garden on the M8. They have had their contrast quickly corrected and one or two got some saturation and a vignette. So no grading.

Also, I corrected the raw on my phone under harsh sunlight, drinking beer, so no master pieces :)

Just wanted to share that I have found an acceptable (for me) way to get a 9.5mm wide lens on MFT cheaply. It cost me £135 total for a Panasonic 12-32mm, Ricoh DW6 0.79 wide angle lens converter and 37mm to 43mm step up ring. All brand new, although I got a great deal it seems on the Ricoh for £25 on eBay, so maybe not 100% new. The lens is f3.5 at 12mm.

Below is a screen grab from VLC with and without the converter at the lens' widest 12mm. This is in Cinematic 4K, so the slightly mushy edges will be less in UHD. I know these are poor images but they should give some idea. There isn't a filter thread so I would apreciate any advice on the best way to attach a filter? Edit: my polarizing filter fits on the lens before screwing in the step up ring: problem solved and saves carrying 2 sized filters.

The converter doesn't feel too heavy for the lens, but I won't be moving it fast or leaving it attached. Edges and corners are better than I exected for photos too; someone has posted examples on DPReview, which is where I got the idea from.

As some may know I am whittling down my lens collection to a dozen or less. I wanted to do 10 or less, but with every box of lenses I open, I find a forgotten jewel.

Today I came across my copy of the Konica 40mm f/1.8. Those who are familiar with this lens understand why it has such a cult following. My copy isn't in the best of shape, so I was curious what they are selling for.

After a quick trip to eBay, I didn't really find a better copy than the one I own, but I did find... A Konica 28mm f/1.8... Whaaat?! How come I never knew this lens existed? And how come I don't own a copy?

Well... The reason is quite simple...

It's a rare and expensive lens that easily goes for between $500 and $1500 depending on condition. A little too rich for my blood, but after a quick search I can see why it is so expensive... The images from this lens combines both a modern contrast and a vintage rendering. Just an amazing piece of glass that may overtake my obsession with one day owning the Contax Zeiss 28mm f/2.

Does anyone own one and if so, would you care to share some video shot with it, or some photos snapped with it?

I'm looking to swap my Zeiss ZF.2 lenses for the equivalent Canon mountable Zeiss ZE lenses.
Each of my lenses comes with 16:9 adaptors (which adapt the lenses to EF bodies, with de-clicked aperture and AF confirmation).
      I have the following ZF.2 lenses: 21mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.0, 50mm f/2.0 (Makro Planar), 100mm f/1.4 (Makro Planar).

I'm really considering making a big upgrade to the URSA, but I've already invested in a fleet of Canon FDs. I've been doing some research on FD to PL mounts without a lot of luck. I know ARRI make an FD adapter to the ARRI mount (PL??) but besides that seems there's zilch out there. Some talk about machining the lenses to fit the new flange but I was hoping someone here knows of something...
