Administrators Andrew Reid 10,257 Posted August 22, 2020 Author Administrators Share Posted August 22, 2020 It has parallels with the world in general. We have in Russia today a dying man who has been horrifically poisoned, screaming in agony on a plane and straight into a coma from which he may never pull out. Leader of the opposition to Putin. The RT news anchor tosses the peasant people some lie. "It is low blood sugar. Always carry candy" The low effort of that bullshit, and the distain for the intelligence of the general populace. And it is the same thing with Toneh. Toss the peasants some badly research bullshit dressed up with a whiteboard zapping key phrases at the audience. Pure clickbait. Pure cynicism. Ah you stole the idea... Nobody will notice. Just say you forgot. Whatever. Who cares. End of days stuff my friends. Thank you to all on here who have helped research and inform on the overheating findings these past few weeks. John Matthews, Juank, Video Hummus and 1 other
ntblowz 605
using scotchtape instead of pulling actual cmos battery.

Navalny was taken to Germany under the guise of being ill, as he will soon have a trial in Russia in a case of libel against a war veteran (insulted him and called him a fake, although the old man really fought). And he has a lot of questions about taxes, a lot of questions about his money, even now! Our people do not fly on private planes to be treated in Germany, even businessmen do not have so much money. Opposition to Putin is ridiculous, he won 1.5% of the vote in the Duma (like your Senate) because he quarreled with his company and was betrayed. No one was against Navalny's party existing, except his friends, who had become too greedy. In recent years, Navalny did not pose any threat, he did not do anything except videos on YouTube. Don't believe the propaganda and yellow newspaper, and please don't put politics on the technical forum. From Russia with love, peace!

Lol I wonder where he got that idea. Super Members BTM_Pix 5,721 Posted August 22, 2020 Super Members Share Posted August 22, 2020 Whoah..... Who had "It was the Japanese government" on their "Canon would never do this to us" bingo card ? Although I have to say that such a cartel may well have been behind the "Why the fuck do these manufacturers not put mic inputs on their compact cameras?" mystery. Matins 2 38
Are there any Canon engineers with dignity? Why not tell the public (anonymously) like it is?
arturius 1
because of your effort and Math class's there are now 2 easy hacks possible: 1. a smart company will be able to install a switch to temporarly turn off the internal batterie . 2. I am shure Magic Lantern will be able to reset the cripple timer. the first R5 units will be very valuable species because the Canon fix will create much less useable video cameras. It does forget the aperture because it didn't write it to NVRAM in time if you pull the battery quite quickly - I tried after about 10 seconds, with the battery door open and a small screw lodged in the pin to force the camera into ON state even with door open. It does not forget the timers That seems to work off a separate clock to the main date / time and is constantly ticking away like a quartz powered by the button cell. One solution I wish the Chinese guy had tried is to permanently remove the internal battery and see if the recovery timer is reset every time you reboot without it. It would be annoying to be kept asking to input date and time on every startup though. There are two contradictory reports on this. Can we get clarification? Andrew tried this and it didn't work but Marcus's video states it does work. ???????????????????????????????????

Does it have to be recording when you pull the battery possibly?

That's an easy way to corrupt the memory chip. But that's what Marcus did. Not a good idea under normal circumstances but it does prove the point.
androidlad 67
The guy who did the teardown uploaded new FLIR images showing the temperature after the "overheating" shutdown. Highest spot was 64C. http://c.tieba.baidu.com/p/6848700307?pn=

If such rise of comparison really is fitted, IMO far better (and far more clear) example would be destiny of Julian Assange - we have in UK/London today a dying man at Her Majesty Prison being guilty for disclosing and documenting reckless bloody state of USA driven Western civilization global behavior living on (the same R5's) premise Nobody will notice. Who cares.

It seems curious to believe that Putin would attempt to poison so many people, recently, and he fails each time? By now the Russians would be masters of toxins. It seems unbelievable to imagine that they fail.
