Lars Steenhoff got a reaction from deezid in Finally 10-bit Video on a Smartphone?
Nice!
About Apple...
They had 10 bit support in ios 11, I could transfer 10 bit h265 from a fuji xt3 with the apple sd card reader at usb 3 speeds to the ipad.
And I could edit in lumafusion
in ios 12 all we get is a red error x on top if the file and it won't transfer.
And with no way to go back to ios 11, we are stuck at 8 bit files.
I hope apple will allow this in a future ios update.
And pressure from samsung for 10 bit will hopefull help that

Ask them for internal LUT support please. ( I think you already did but not sure they understood)
For both video and stills
So when I want have a nice look I dont need to go in post processing on an external device.
Especially important to show a good looking jpg direct out of the camera to a cleint on set

its a power saving feature on most fuji cameras, if you put the camera in high performance mode the screen will stay with the fast frame rate, has nothing todo with the recordings

Here's what I think are the pros an cons
PRO
3.2 " lcd. ( better than 3" ) 2 million dots lcd resolution ( better than 1 million ) Responsive touch screen Grip seems nice 5 axis IBIS Short flange High resolution EVF Nice EVF optics 0.8 magnification 10 bit hdmi out Adapter can stop down the aperture 4k full pixel read out ( Z6 ) Mic input Headphone output Usb-c ( + charging in camera ) N-LOG over hdmi Lossless compressed 14 bit RAW for stills 144Mbps internal is not so bad CONS
Adapter no AF on screwdriver lenses Battery life if only 10-15 min in video ( USA site ), Japan site says 85 min ( http://www.nikon-image.com/products/mirrorless/lineup/z_6/spec.html ) One card slot ( don't care so much about it, but still, its 2018) No internal N-LOG No internal 10 bit No LUT support in camera ( like in the black magic pocket 4k ) No 4k DCI No 200 mbs bitrate internal. ( 144Mbps ) No 4k 60p No mini XLR for sound ( Blackmagic ) Lenses don't seem to have linear focus option. Lenses focus rotation don't seem to be able to reverse No RAW for video No Prores for video 4 GB split for movies

Lars Steenhoff got a reaction from AaronChicago in Who is excited about Resolve 15?
I wish the LUT gallery thumbnails were from the current selected video frame. that way you can see all the grades how they would look like on your shot.
Now you have to select each one to see how they look like in a shot. It's better than it was for sure, just could have been perfect if they did that.

uncompressed Raw actually requires less processing power. no need to debater and to compress.

You can record external to hdmi at 1080p. I do this with an atomos ninja blade.
You can even let it trigger the external recorder to record of you enable the in camera h264 proxy recording.
This will give you RAW files in the compact flash card in camera, H264 .mov files on the SD card in camera, And the external recording on the monitor.
There is an app called switch in the magic lantern forum, that can cut out the extra black frames that this workflow gives to the proxies.
This way you can edit with the proxy files in and later sync up the raw files for grading.
I only tested normal 25 fps with this workflow, 48 may behave differently
