I think posted about this one back when we were producing it - Homecoming is a 30-minute neo-noir revenge film shot on the OG BMCC with the idea of making it look like a Scandinavian noir film from late 80's and early 90's - a gritty, dark, low key yet saturated looking film. It got some rave reviews from some underground and horror outlets.
 

Now we have released  the movie, and it can be seen on Youtube, via the link below. Beware though, the film is extremely violent and not for the faint of heart.

Agree, too much politics nowadays. Sure, politics can fuel art, but let the art speak for itself at least.

Some of the most incredible countries in the world are monocultural. Japan is about as close to a monocultural society as it gets and where is no shame in it. In fact Japan is arguably all the more unique and special for it. Are we suggesting Japan should now be reduced to 40% to 50% native Japanese people, in order to represent a greater number of skin colours and cultures? No.
Discrimination against majorities is as wrong as discrimination against minorities.

I really wish this thread didn’t start. This is a camera forum guys. I love how we can all come together to talk about something we love. Why ruin this with such a decisive topic?  Obviously, we disagree on this issue, but that isn’t what this forum is about. Go on reddit for crying out loud!

Nothing wrong with the EF mount.  How many cine cameras use the EF mount?  
The footage from the P6K already has better cadence and a more filmic look then the P4K.  There has to be more data being captured at a better scan rate then the P4K. 
And what you and everyone else has been saying is who needs, who can work with and 6K is not better then the P4K with a speed-booster.  This footage shows the P6K is more cinematic then the P4K. 

Thats the first video Ive ever seen from the P6K and I must say... it looked extremely videoish. Surely there are some really cinematic footage out there that would better illustrate the point you where trying to make.
 

Well, if we're to extrapolate from the past two things will happen:
- It'll be rushed but still late and have issues
- They'll completely stop supporting the 4K version now and kind of pretend it doesn't exist, much like the URSA and the URSA Mini (non-pro variants).
I can't bring myself to care about the resolution increase.

That said, hope no one may wonder if happens to ever be related to the country with same name : D

The camera has one job, process an image. If it needs 3-4 minutes work per image just to make people look normal.. that's not exactly awesome imo.
It's like whith the white balance in Slog2. Defenders always claimed that setting the right WB needed extra time and effort and that is perfectly normal.. yeah no.. in every other camera on earth it's a basic setting that takes two seconds and always has.
I love Sony cameras.
I've bought many, way more than Canons. And I can get really nice looking images and colors out of them, no problem. But doing it fast, efficient and consistent compared to CaNikon, PanaOly, or even Pentax and Leica.. not so much.

You're entitled to have an opinion on Philip Bloom's many hours of custom grading and his LUT collection.
But it's an opinion on that, not the Sony colour science or defaults, you do realise what you are seeing is not straight from the camera don't you??

I bought into the numbers and spec game that Sony played for a couple of years (2015-2017). Used the A7s, A7rII, and FS5. 4K! 40+ megapixels! 240fps!
I call these the dead years. 
Yes, I got some good stuff with them and thanks to a great colorist, was able to grade some films so that it looked great. But the day to day shoots, the general travel photos, the one-man band work, the portfolio of work that doesn't have professional colorist attached to it just isn't even in the same ballpark image quality wise as something from a Canon or Panasonic. 
While you use a Sony, you don't really realize that there is something off - you just get used to it. My wake up call is when I looked at old, 8-bit HD footage from my Canon 60D that I shot in 2012/2013. It just looked so much nicer, natural, and beautiful. Quickly tested out some new systems, felt the same about the footage I was capturing on those, and dropped Sony as quick as I could.
Still love Canon and think they have the best CS and best image right out of the box, but Panasonic is very close and also give you the specs that Sony does. So, it's Panasonic for me right now. Maybe if Canon give us a 10-bit C100III with RF mount and a pro-body EOS R with 2020 video specs, they could come out ahead. But feels like Panasonic is the company that will give us what we want spec-wise while also giving us high image quality and color.

Different opinions are fine but Alternative Facts aren't.
Even a blind person can feel very clearly what the difference is because one is positively radioactive.
And these are RAWs straight off the SD card with no colour adjustment whatsoever.
The amount of time and skill it would take to create a custom grade for that Sony RAW still so that it matches the Canon would be immense.
One preset might not work for all shots, you'd have to tailor it.
The Sony has green and yellow going on with skin, whether it is in the RAW file or the JPEG, it needs adjusting no matter what. And while it's true you have more headroom to adjust it in RAW than JPEG, it is still time and effort down the drain.

We won’t go against anyone if one follows the rule and respect to others effort. However, a lot of China based companies are notorious for their habit of IP theft around the world. It is not sole case of Huawei being part of it but no doubt she did quite a lot.

No doubt, the technology innovation is strong in China in certain area. But it is meaningless if morality is eliminated. It is so tired to explain why Huawei and other Chinese companies do not deserve your sympathy. Mourning for a loss of optical zoom smartphone just proves how short-sight of oneself.

This has NOTHING to do with any regulations that have been lifted under the current administration. From the article you posted:

I think the whole world needs to wake up and understand depending pretty much on China to make their stuff is a huge mistake. I am not talking as a personal insult to China. I respect what they have done. But the whole damn world is putting their eggs in one basket here. Nations are loosing their national identity, people out of work. This is leading to a F ing total disaster. You can't have one country making everything and the rest just going belly up, and not abide by the rules.
That is the trouble with this crap. Trump is just a small ass piece of all of this. Britain is just about to be a nobody country soon. Other European countries are nearly in a worse shape. This is all some serious shit. South America is going to shit also. It Ain't going to get better keeping it the way it is. This has no good end without some big ass change. A hell of a lot of countries are to blame for letting this crap happen.

I don’t agree with Donald Trump on most anything, however I do agree with him on this. China has stolen trillions of dollars in technology and put up obstacles for fair trade and open markets that they themselves agreed to. No one has done anything about Chinas empty promises and back peddling on opening their markets until Donald. In essence you are saying that you getting cheap gear is more important than the livelihood that was stolen from your neighbors, your sisters, your father because of Chinas actions. The revenue that was lost for your local schools, hospitals, police and fire dept. or elder care home. Donald Trump acts like a small minded child and is a TV presenter but in this article you insult him much like what he does to others. The P4K is way too sharp!!!  4K and modern cameras aren't cinematic, the Alexa / older BM cameras are all lower res and have magic. The P4K is way too soft!!!!  BRAW is clearly inferior because it smooths fine detail. Not to mention conversations in other threads that also include:
