Full frame without DPAF is useless to me . 

That's a camera that is used with a full production crew, DP, AC, Focus Puller, Director, Assistant Director . I doubt many  shooting with the Pocket Camera Full Frame will not be. Full Frame with out really good AF is useless in my opinion .

I believe your just leading this ridiculous campaign to promote
 your blog . Which is perfectly fine . But, do you really expect a camera that cost 3500.00 to do what a 79,0000.00 dollar Red Monstro does?   Every sane person knew it would be limited.   And the Red doesn’t have the crazy good AF. 
I think a lot of people are going to take advantage of the amazing capabilities of this camera, and produce some lovely work. And, from what I have seen it looks pretty fantastic. We have come a long way since the 5D.

Sure, just as soon as you show some GFX 100 footage . Just kidding. Yeah I shot a couple quick clips last week I would share .
They were more of a autofocus test of pushing in on a slider of a guy dribbling a basketball  . And it is kind of magic.
  Something you could never do without an AC .
The full frame 24fps with AF Raw footage is fantastic, but major gotcha is file size .  
 
The raw files are about 1.5 gb for 20 seconds . Do you have a server to upload to?  Looks like yours doesn't accept canon CRM .

You don’t know what you are talking about until you have seen 8K monstro FF downscaled to 2 K ProRes .

it doesn't make it parfocal, since that is, by definition, that the focus doesn't change when you zoom. But the focus does change and it is corrected by the focus. 
Sony got an interesting solution with the 18-110mm f/4.0 too, where the focus element is moved to correct. The problem with such electronic solutions is, that fast zoom movements can be too fast to correct and that you can't use those lenses on another non supported mount via adapter

Works great with the C300ii and a 70-200 as well. 
You could say it performs as if it is parfocal, but there are situations where it won’t work 

The truth is that most filmmakers are doing fairly subtle zooms, so AF does work well enough in many cases to render the need for parfocal lenses redundant. 
 

The problem is how fast and how smoothly the focus mechanism in the lens can track focus, which is both: working out if focus is lost, which direction to go to find it, and by how much; and also being able to actually change the focus fast enough.
The other method is to analyse the lens ahead of time and store that data, in which case you don't need to assess how focused anything is, you just get a zoom reading from the lens and compensate.  The XC10 does this, with its fixed 24-240mm equivalent lens.  Unfortunately I found in real life that if you zoomed quickly it wouldn't be able to keep up, and also it wouldn't reacquire it through the lens data, but would require the focus mechanism to do it's thing.
If you zoomed slowly then it worked though, so that was nice.

And absolutely punching the air level of good news for us Leica SL owners, especially the EF adapter.
For Novoflex, possibly not such good news.

I got the camera a couple days ago after reading Andrews post. I wanted something to replace my Black Magic pocket camera for these old Zeiss s16s super speeds set I have . To put it bluntly, I’m not getting the results . The first two shots on his video sold me on it. Didn’t even watch the rest.  
  I’m used to shooting with a red dragon so maybe I don’t know what I’m doing . But, I can’t get the stabization to work very well .
Thinking of returning it on Monday . Sad, because I really love these lenses and would really like a viable s16 camera. I also have a Zeiss
s16 10-120 which is awesome to shoot with . Small,  light weight and s35 its a 20 240 f2.0 . I also like the s16 look. 
I had just watched The Wrestler the night before and that was shot on s16 so, that probably influenced my purchase as well. 

Sounded so good, i got one . Pocket Rocket .
