Red is the reason why we cant have nice compressed RAW video on other cameras except Red

Compressed 10 bit RAW would be much more enticing than uncompressed 8 bit CDNG IMHO

Sometimes the smaller the better if you are a one man band.

Probably a toss between the C500 MK2 and the Sony FX9
But edge goes to Canon with the C300 MK2 as a B cam.
with the 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8
Sigma 24, 50, and 85 cine lenses
Flowtech 75 legs
Tilta Wireless Follow focus kit
Ninja V monitor
4x Aputure 300d ii
4x QUASAR rgb lights
2x mombo combos
That's a start ??
I do very low budget films, weddings, events, and corporate videos.
The C500 mk2 is kind of a no brainer. Built in ND's, good codec, 2k 120p and PDAF, the C300 MK2 isn't far behind. I like Zoom lenses for their convenience. Sigma Primes for critical manual focus situations.
I could go on for a long time about lighting but the 300d's are on my wish list right now along with Quasars. Honestly don't care about the aputure brand. Any of the 1500w equivalent LED's out right now look good.

thebrothersthre3 got a reaction from Emanuel in OSMO Pocket 4K camera with 3 axis gimbal
They need to add an double exposure HDR mode in their next Osmo, like they have in the action cam. 10 bit H265 should also be in the next one. Might buy it if that happens.

Like a lot of things there's gonna be subtle differences as you are getting 422 and almost no compression with prores. Its gonna be low returns for most people.
I got a Ninja 2 to record with my XT30 though. No time limits, 4k downscaled to 1080p prores, which is convenient as I downscale and transcode to prores on my PC regardless. So it saves that step for me. Plus I'll get 10 bit 422 where as the XT30 only does 8 bit internal. I got one for $160 with a 256gb SSD, so its honestly a damn good deal I think.

Fixed nds often have color cast too. The killer thing is variable nds do weird things to skin

Just shot this on the XT30, tighter shots are the XT30. Mix of 1080 and 4k footage. Overall I was happy with the performance in lowish light. 18-55 lens at f4

You might be about to cop one on ebay for around $4500

I don't know you can get some pretty damn good M43 cameras under $500 that do 4k with IBIS

Stunning shots! The XT3 is a hell of a camera. I keep looking at others but always come back to it.

Yeah I don’t have as issue with jumpiness. -1 or -2 speed and +2 tracking works well. I’m honestly considering buying a sigma 18-35 and 50-100 + fringer pro. Seeing people get good results with those.

If you have plug in power you can also get Lowell lights pretty cheap. 500-1000 wat lights can really light up a place
You get a certain magic look with old tungsten lights. I am not trying to say you can't get good results with LED's though. If they are more convenient and in the budget go for it.

If you have the V-Log upgrade, it may be a good idea to skip it. Shoot in Cine-D and it will be less noisy. Use an f/1.7 or faster lens if you have it. There are really cheap Canon FD-Mount 50mm f/1.4 lenses ($50 USD on eBay).
Also, I second using the Aputure AL-F7 ($100 USD) as it's bi-color and gives off a ton of light. I also recommend the Aputure Space Light modifier. Although it is a bowens mount modifier, you can just drop the AL-F7 in the opening an secure it with some tape for an amazing lightweight, portable and cheap soft light.

I've shot with the GH2 at night as well as GH4 in low light. If you can light your scenes it doesn't matter. Its fine under 1000 iso

I wouldn't mind paying $100 for BRAW on the GH5 (and GH6 when it releases).

Very nice! I am very tempted to buy one, but will probably just get an atomos recorder for my XT30.
