Just a quick update, as I've just come back from 3 days of winter camping in the mountains, and I want to share my short experience concerning battery life.
So, during 3 days with just below 0°C temperatures, I shot mainly short video sequences (around 30s) from dawn to dusk, milky way photography one night, some landscape photo in the morning and in the evening, and a lot of image reviewing. The camera stayed outside with the battery still inside it (I usually remove the battery from the camera in winter, and take it inside my sleeping bag, but not this time).
Right now, I'm reviewing all the material, and the battery indicator displays  3 remaining bars out of 5. I'm quite satisfied... with my Fujis, I would have used 3 batteries ! As usual, there is quite a gap between internets myths and real life experience !

Tested with both the 50mm F1.8 and the 24-70mm F4. Used base ISO and adjusted light to provide good exposure. Used both default and recommended settings for optimal face detect performance. I'm honestly not sure what I could have done differently. I was stoked about the Nikon and really wanted it to do well... but it did not. I'm not exactly new to cameras so I'm pretty confident that it configured correctly.  
Is the R bad at AF? I've not heard that good is the case. Quiet contrary, I've heard it's excellent and can even focus in nearly complete darkness. 

The AF in your video and in your comment does not relate all the things I saw on the Z6. Your dismal performance might be due to a combination of: 
- low light (the Z6 AF is known to suck in low light for stills)
- settings
- lens 
 
The 1DX AF is excellent but at $6K and 1.5kg it's totally useless to me. Canon had the chance to implement that excellent AF in a good photo video body with the R but they totally screwed up.  
 

If you want Canon to stop gimping cameras, stop buying them. 
 
Shills like Peter McCanon saying 120fps hurts your creativity adds fuel to fire. 

You guys seem surprised a $6K flagship camera beast like 1DXII trumps base level mirrorless cams..?!
That said, EOS R does hold an advantage over it with the inclusion of peaking, focus guides, canon log, 10-bit out, EVF, MP4 codec, flip out screen & light weight.
Not bad for a third of the price if you ask me. Of course 1DX2 excels in other areas, but at this point I'd wait for the rumored Mark 3 for ultimate Canon DSLR.
If anything though this makes a strong case for Dual Pixel AF still holding the crown over the competition which some like to claim have "caught up".

I don't have Any HDD's. I Have 5 SSD's, so no clue.

A growing number of pros (perhaps even the majority these days) are oblivious to broadcast standards as they shoot solely for web/digital platforms.
For those types of shooters, especially one man bands.. the C200 is a very compelling solution. AF is still in stone age on cine cams so that alone can make the difference.
Internal 8-bit codec will be fine for corporate interviews with controlled lighting & minor grading. Slap on / rent an atomos for the times you really need that 10-bit 2K DCI.
Then when time/budget allows it go RAW for that uncompromised IQ/DR. Or just switch over to RAW for that quick money shot. That's how i used to do it during 5D3 ML days.

Only if you're shooting raw. I've been filming exclusively in Prores and editing on a 2015 Macbook Pro and it's 10 times faster than trying to edit h264 footage from a consumer GX80. 

Recently got the EVA1 because it’s Christmas and cameras rule the world. 
Took it out for a spin first time on a major project in Amsterdam and Iceland. My entire kit was a right heavy bugger to carry around, silly me. GH5 came too. 
But will it service my creativity / ability or is this just a symptom of the camera “want, need” sickness? 
 
BRIEF GOOD THINGS
- Body is nice overall. I’d look twice ? 
- 4k image is super lovely. I could marry it.
- 2K 120fps better than competing cameras. Doesn’t look like an infected toe.
- Codecs. Lots. Same as GH5. Woo. Party! 
 
BRIEF BAD THINGS
- The LCD makes a good mirror. As a monitor? Get a hammer and smash it. 
- Switching sensor modes and HFR could make you feel unwell quickly. Slow. 
- The hand grip moves a bit when locked. Makes you sigh a lot and say “f*****g hell” under your breath. 
- More user error, but I had my IBIS hands on while shooting. Sort of forgot I’d be back to wobble club. 
 
Overall, it was robust and performed well. Images look lovely. Matches GH5 nicely. Looking forward to shooting more and not throwing it in the bin. 
Extra note - I used the new SWIT 55C as the Monitor which I also want to marry. Great deal!

That is too shortsighted, I'd recommend the eos16k.com domain name instead. 

People don't throw away their perfectly fine 4k TV to get new 8k one, if there is no visible benefit. And the problem with 8k is that you need 100 inch TV to see its 4x-more-than-4k pixels. In 55 inch and at typical distance its completely meaningless. 

No idea how deep you want to get in the game? But I would consider to at least stick with one discipline. If you will try to master rap, beatmaking, producing, Puhhh. See you at the other end, unless you want to spend the next 5 years in the closet. 
I would suggest keep it simple.
get beats from the internet, contact people ask them for beats. Once you have recorded over it. Get someone to master the stuff. And/or keep it fun trashy and simpler give it some "live recoding"  feel and fuck HiFi
dont do drugs and gang stuff ?.

No one stated the obvious so far. It is a shame they did not put a round a eye piece on the two cameras. 

Same here, one week worth of editing, and the fucker wouldn't start rendering it out. In the end mpeg and xml was the only thing what I could still save it in ---> could recover of what i had in resolve. It's just too much stress

What until now I don't understand, not judging you in particular, but there are quite a lot of low light test, I guess by nw we know that we can use 6400 ISO and go to 12800 or even 25600 ISO. But no one was able to do a test with what is the real innovation of this camera and it is 10 bit log profile. That is the first test I will do with this camera when I get it start of next year, put it at 800 ISO, log, 10 bit and shoot some people and landscape. Just to know what is the ultimate quality of this camera.

I wouldn't be too surprised if after the criticism of C5D's early tests they tightened up their game. 
But as the comments from even their recent tests show, they're testing cameras without really understanding the camera itself and not setting it up for getting the most out of it. 
They shouldn't be testing them without getting intensive input from owner ops of that particular camera first, ideally on the shoot itself.

Yup, I'd rate the CML conclusions as waaaay more useful than C5D's.
 

I remember when you where saying that Nikon first gen would never compete against Sony third gen. You know what the Z6 is better than the A73 Sony MILC, better viewfinder, rear screen, ergonomic, 10 bit, construction weather sealing, 10 bit etc. The only thing it looses is Continous autofocus in.............. photo and not video. So what I expect is at least 1 or 2 firmware update for continuous autofocus to get it better. That does not mean that its photo autofocus is bad, it is just not at the same level than the Sony in Continous autofocus.
 
 
I can't understand people thinking, Sony sensor division is number one in the world, why would they handicap their reputation to protect 13% Milc Dslr market. They would alienate 90% of their own customer.

No all those knobs are stupid just like that stupid Nikon body was, can't remember the name. Those days are gone and the knobs are not needed at all. Can't really say I agree. You don't need a 10 bit monitor to utilize 10 bit, you don't need a monitor to display 15 stops to utilize an Alexa's DR, and you don't need a 4k monitor to benefit from 4k. That said I was heavily considering the C100 but the auto focus was just not good enough for me (center only). I agree that any of these hybrid cameras are not the best A cams in regards to form factor and you're right there is no step up above an XT3. You can always use them as a b cam but lenses wouldn't be compatible across the board.

Try exporting to xml and then importing to resolve, nothing to lose!
I switched over recently and I haven't noticed the actual performance being better than premiere in terms of stutters during 4k playback but at least I don't get the glitch where I can't save and premiere hangs for 30mins with the file explorer dialogue is open...
Obviously there's some bugs but I'm trying to escape the Adobe universe.

I feel your pain. Between Premiere unstability and Flash vulnerabilities, I have a strong distrust of Adobe myself. I use Resolve for editing these days. My biggest project is ~5,000 files / 500 GB and Resolve is handling it just fine. Each of the files actually is imported both in full res and a proxy, so there's closer to 10,000 imported files. Not sure how that scales against your needs...

Well, the Nikon D850 sensor is not "handicapped" compared to the A7R III. The banding problem in Z7 is caused by the fact That Nikon did not treat the PDAF pixels as it should be in the RAW files. Nothing related to Sony here.
