Why, BRAW is more about 12 bit colour than DR.  You can see that in the colour holding up in my opinion better on the Pocket 6K  footage, aside from some red clipping.  A fullframe sensor is obviously going to be less noisy than a S35 one and this test focused very much on noise in shadow areas.  Again comparing H264 to RAW, can be comparing no NR to some NR.. 
The advantages of RAW are more with changing ISO and WB and working with 12 bit colour.  Given the S1 and S1H has better DR than the Pockets, its not hard to expect the S5 to follow in that line.

Ian, if I may, forget the 8 bits and the shoppy h264 like I did and buy a Blackmagic 4 or 6k and your life will change!

Well, I've just finished a 17 minute documentary short. I shot 5 hours of ML 1080p for this. I had to buy an external hard drive to stick the original MLVs on as backup - around €80. And the log 4444 transcodes that I edited and graded from sit on my internal hard drive, taking up 400GB. These costs are not high. Obviously the costs will be higher for a longer project, but quite manageable. And the 3K sample I posted earlier is a roughly similar data rate, due to the 60% compression of the new lossless 14bit.
However, the "elephant in the room" for me is this:
ML users are familiar with this, but newcomers to ML may not realise that these advancements in resolution come at a cost: while you're shooting the LCD runs at about one frame every 2 seconds. This means that it's almost pointless to try to move the camera or to change focus while recording. The feedback is so slow that you're pretty much guessing and it's impossible to be precise. Will this ever change? Who knows?

The new modes are ideal if you're making work in the style of James Benning, though! (fantastic antidote to the hectic pace of contemporary media)

I quit GH4 for the colors, now i'm happy with my NX1 except the 16:9 crop my flares :(.

Something different : anamorphic nx1, anamorphic lens : Kowa for Bell & Howell and talking lens : Konica-Hexanon 40mm f/1.8 (no hack sadly).
 

120-140-160 I believe is best for hard disk drive space/camera heating (mine gets really warm)-sensor annihilation/file problems created. For casual use and time long projects I do not even bother.
Otto is Gandalf the Grey, Kino Seed is Frodo Baggins, and Vasile was that human Boromir(?) that his pride and recklessness made him vurnable to the Ring's power. He also dies at the end of the first movie! The pitty is, we need more allies from the elves and dwarfs, for Otto the White evolution, and the lonely Kino hobbit carry the ring further; so maybe there wont be 2 or 3.

Shot this on my GH4 in one night. Used some color foils on my cheap Yongnuo YN300 LEDs and my Panasonic 20mm 1.7 lens.
Recording was done internally in 4K DCI VLOG 8 bit, so some artifacts are definitely there. Tried to create a dark, gritty but colorful look. Still in love with this small, little and reliable camera.

Sorry but apparently you didn't write the Vimeo comments of the owner who said how much he love his NX1 and is not in anyway disapointed by it but just "felt like it was time to try something new".

Why is it so popular (in EOSHD) to emulate "dirty" look of 70's and 80's movies? Wouldn't be more beneficial to emulate something like The Martian? Clean image with beautiful colors.
Is it becouse it's so much harder to make image look actually good, and it's easy to make images look crap and then say it's artistic?
