ntblowz got a reaction from Emanuel in Panasonic Abandoning M43
My 15 1.7, 42.5 1.7 and 25 1.7 combined cost me around the same price as my Zeiss 55mm 1.8, my Sony 70-200 f4 cost the same as my 12-35 and 35-100 2.8 combo, and both of them combined is lighter than a single 70-200 f4 lens!
My small camera bag for my m43 kit (I can fit 4 m43 lens and a body) can barely just fit 2 lens on my A73 kit, hence I only travel with m43 and only use FF and GH5s for work, it just too big and heavy for me, and if it got stolen at least it doesn’t cost a lot to replace.

ntblowz reacted to Danyyyel in Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p
One of the biggest advantage of Full Frame for me is that you can use those super versatile F4 zoom on your camera for 99% of the shots. I intend to get the 24-70 F4 which will cover 80-90% of normal use when you counter in APSC mode. Something like the 24-120 Nikon would be a 24-180 with the Apsc mode and would cover 99% of my need for reportage shooting. The big advantage is that F4 on a full frame is like f 2.8 35mm cinema dof, so you still have plenty of shallow DOF. The second advantage is shooting in LOG format which is generally 800 ISO. To get proper ND to shoot at these high ISO during daytime is very very costly. You would need to close down your aperture again to at least F4 and F5.6 and the Full frame would again get you better DOF control.
Nice, thats the guy who did Nikon music video, shoulder rest rig, no stab. What I like is the rack focus in some of those shots, very organic.
Nice

"About lenses: I have been told that all three companies understood lenses are the key to succeed. This means right from the start there will be many more lenses than you can have now with the Canon EOS-R and Nikon Z system."

I know a few people got GH5 instead of A7III this year.. in fact there is still large number of people doesn't know about A7III at all! On some MV meeting I went to when they asked what camera i have they have a blank look when I told them I got A7III, but they respond when I said "and GH5s" with expression of oh I know that camera look.

Hey Everyone,
Here’s a bunch of stuff I’ve shot, graded and edited for music videos between 2012-2018.
The shots in the reel not done by me are the drone shots.
For you camera nerds, I used......
Sony FS700, FS5, FS7, F55, A7SII, A6500.
Panasonic GH3, GH5.
DJI X3, X5R.

ntblowz reacted to Mattias Burling in Canon EOS R full frame mirrorless talk hots up
Nah its accurate. Believe me. Im a Sony fanboy and Fuji shooter. I review all of them.
If I review a Sony all is well.
If I review a Fuji I get attacked by Sony Fanboys.
If I review a Pentax or Nikon I'm attacked by Sony and Fuji Fanboys.
If I review a Canon... all hell breaks loose since even Sony Walkman fanboys attack.
I base this on receiving and reading 26 090 comments over the last couple of years. Just visit any forum and see for yourself. For example checkout the thread about the EOS-R on EOSHD.
After my 6Dmkii review I had to block some really vicious people that weren't attacking just me but also people commenting on the video.
And not about specs. We are talking threats and in general things that would lead to a punch in the face irl.
The weirdest thing was they weren't all anonymous. They actually used their business accounts...freelancers, production house employees using their official accounts...

I'm so excited, and I just can't hide it
I'm about to lose control and I think I like it
-
ntblowz reacted to Dave Maze in Panasonic announcing a full frame camera on Sept. 25???
Correct. It is
The thing that excites me about this rumor is the fact that Panasonic UNDERSTANDS the video game really really well.
I think they were caught off guard with the Phase Detect AF for video thing. When they started designing the GH5 I don't think it was that much of a need or concern. Now, in 2018...its become quite a requirement and I know Panasonic knows that.
The other thing that excites me is the fact that it will most definitely have all the video features thrown in it that we expect it to have coming from a GH5. Waveforms, high bit rates, max frame rates...(however it may be less powerful than a GH5 cause the sensor is so much larger and requires some serious processing and cooling)
BUT MOST OF ALL....it WILL have a flip out screen and we all know it will. Hahahaha.
This is great news. And I am glad its later in the year....that gives me time to make a bunch of videos about the sony a7siii, canon mirrorless, and Nikon before it comes out. Its spaced out nicely for my channel

ntblowz reacted to TheRenaissanceMan in Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p
So, beyond all the Chicken Little reactions and a subpar press release from Nikon (creating a crazy echo chamber of negativity), what I'm seeing is:
-A well respected manufacturer with good qc and customer service
-Small mirrorless body with adaptable mount
-Full frame 24mp with clean 4K
-10-bit HDMI out
-Flat and Log profiles (basically the Nikon equivalent of CLog1 and CLog 3)
-A few essential lenses, with every logical core option already roadmapped
-IBIS that, by all accounts, bests Sony's
-Great battery life (more than 2 hours of straight 4K)
-Solid ergos, on par with other mirrorless manufacturers
-Natural color science without any major problems (blue channel clipping, greenish skin, greens shifting towards blue, magenta cast, etc)
-Integration with Atomos recorders for easy on set workflow
All baggage, brand politics, and bad press strategy aside, it ticks a LOT of boxes for me. Gonna be looking hard at the Z6 when it drops.

ntblowz reacted to Mark Romero 2 in Nikon Z6 features 4K N-LOG, 10bit HDMI output and 120fps 1080p
He makes a good point in the video.
If you compare it to other cameras delivering FF 10-bit 4K, then the Z6 is cheap. Very cheap. (Meaning, inexpensive, not poor quality).
My hope / dream / fantasy is that it will have all the dynamic range and color science the D750 had when shooting flat and nice 4K and great 1080p when shooting 8-bit internal.
