Yes, and if you look at the sensor spec sheet it looks like it can do 4K60p 10-bit just as the Zcam E2 M4 offers.
Probably a lack of processing or heat concerns in the GH5S body.
Also, looking at the bit depth and 2K readouts I never go above 120p either as the noise is unacceptable in almost anything that isn’t perfect conditions. So I would recommend shooting max 100p PAL or 96fps NTSC.
Anything higher and you drop into 10-bit sensor output.

    I’d suggest the Sigma 18-35 1.8 You won’t find a shaper prime plus you’ll get 18mm 24mm 28mm and 35mm all in one at f1.8

I feel like the GH6 could do well if it matches the A7s3 specs, plus all Panasonic's usual high end video features and full Vlog. That plus a much lower $1500 price point, it would definitely have an audience. A lot of vloggers love Pana IBIS, if they could just get their AF together they'd get a pretty good share of that market I'd guess.

All these recent cameras are great but they all have close to $4000 price tags.

Cameras are such a small cost in the grand scheme of a production. The camera isn't gonna make the movie sell more and that's all people really care about. Like if you get approved to shoot a Netflix show, the camera you use will be the last thing on your mind. Unless you are an insane camera enthusiast like us on here.  🤣

Definitely behind for me. Cropped 420 10 bit 4k 60p, poor quality 120-180fps HD.

The Sony delivers 4k at 24, 60, and 120p with no crop full sensor readout.

6k is cool and all but I honestly shoot in HD half the time and when I need more its 4k. 6K downsampled is beautiful of course but if it means no full sensor 4k 60p and shitty 120p than I'll pass. That is just me of course.

Fuji offers an incredible bang for its buck. Its AF needs major improvements though. I'd pay $2500 for an XH2 with a 12mp sensor and 4k 120p though. Especially if it has reliable AF.

You mean they kept the noise reduction artifacts and oversharpening?
Yep, they did indeed. The ZV-1 looks the same even.

They wanted bad press? Wouldn't a camera with no major issues and 8k be way better press? I can't see them doing this intentionally.

The S1H image is the same as the S1 at least from what I have seen and heard.

No PDAF is a deal breaker for many looking for a hybrid camera. The stills AF is also not the greatest IMO, at least compared to my Fuji's.

I honestly don't think there is much Canon hate. The R5 and R6 were just big disappointments. If anything people were expecting a lot from Canon as they are known as a reputable company.

Potato Jet's comparison to the FX9 was very interesting.

He found the FX9 at max iso (12,800) with exposure brought up in post to match 64,000 iso was a better image than the A7s3 64,000 ISO. It had more detail and he said it was cleaner. I am sure this is at least partly due to the noise reduction on the A7. Pretty disappointing that Sony won't allow NR to be disabled. Very over looked thing on Sony's cameras.

With the new data rates that this thing uses, I was surprised that my inexpensive 1 TB Western Digital Blue SSD could handle ProRes RAW HQ in 5.9K and 4.1K 60p. I plan on using this new codec specifically when doing outdoor weddings. As of now, I have been severely underexposing just to make certain that if the sun peeks from behind the clouds that I don't burn a hole straight through the brides dress, never to be recovered ever again.
Canon and Sony have had some interesting releases the last few weeks. The only realization is that the S1H clearly would best both to an extent if it had Canon/Sony level autofocus.
    With that said:
I know how to manual focus. Glass f/2.8 or faster and ISO 12,800 looks fantastic. Anything more, I will light it. I've run my camera for over 4 hours straight (Hindu Wedding) in 5.9K, and my camera didn't overheat! When video work dries up, this thing is a competent stills shooter. I really don't know what job this dynamic duo of S1H and Ninja V can't do.

I bought a refurbished EM10III on eBay for $300.  Warranty and all.  5-axis IBIS and 4k.  Battery life is impressive as is the IQ.  Also shot a bunch with GX85's.  Comparable camera to the EM10III, but the IBIS ain't quite as good.

What about the Tilta cooling option?

Seems to be viable. Kind of embarrassing you have to buy a second party product to have your camera function but it is what it is.

I am still waiting on Dynamic range results from both cameras.

Most cameras do 4K ProRes RAW and have to pixel bin to achieve 12bit, as a full pixel readout at the higher colour depth would be too slow.
This is where the S1H is different... It is the only one to do a full pixel readout, in native 6K at 12bit. Amazing sensor technology.

Yep. The downsampled 4k at 24 and 30p is only a one time 30 minute record limit. Assuming that means you can't just hit record again after.

Someone will probably come up with a conspiracy theory that Sony is paying all reviewers to hate on Canon while sending unlimited praise to their camera.
When I first heard about the overheating I was fine with it. Its pretty normal across the board at this point. I thought 8k really isn't needed much most people will be using 4k regardless. But it just gets worse and worse. 2 hour waits to cool down, overheating in an air conditioned room. Overheating just from shooting stills, not even recording any video?

I am sure these limitations will work for some people but definitely not for me.

Verdict is if you film a lot in direct sun and live in Florida buy an S1H. If you only record 35 minutes per shoot get a R5 or R6 LOL

    Winner winner chicken dinner.

It sounds like this camera has more traditional overheating problems, such as when in direct sun.

The odd thing about the Canon is it seems to overheat at the exact same time regardless of direct sun or indoors.

Sony needs to get rid of the low light NR though. Thats a killer.

Depends on the camera. Fuji doesn't provide Luts to match there in camera profiles. A big appeal of Fuji is the color and if you are shooting LOG you just don't get the same experience. Even the Eterna lut which they provide doesn't really match the Eterna profile in camera.

I also don't recommend anyone use F-log as it has weird macroblocking issues that ruins footage regardless of how you expose.
