I'm not on lockdown and even If I am, I live in a rural area so will still have plenty of freedom. But I have lost about $20K of work already from events being cancelled. These are the returning annual gigs that I depend on each year, so losing them is a big hit.

My plan is to teach myself everything I can about live streaming so I can start to market myself as someone who can solve the problem that a lot of events are currently experiencing.

Not only have I lost multiple jobs and screenings at this point, but my wife and I's supplemental income as landlords looks like it might be in jeopardy too, depending on what politicians do.
    Yikes.
The US is going to get rocked hard by this all around.  If we are where Italy is 2 weeks from now, it ain't likely to be pretty. My opinion is that life in the USA is pretty much random cultural nonsense anyway, with people in power operating with fear rather than our citizen's best interest.
What happened yesterday at the White House was just another paper cut, just a longer stroke.  "It's national emergency time all of a sudden!  Pretend everything I've said over the past 4 weeks about COVID is irrelevant. And here are a bunch of corporate CEO standing behind me for some bullshit reason!  I'm not responsible!"
I'm pretty damn cynical about society right about now.

Well, it always could be worse. Imagine if your president is suspect to have the virus, was recommended to quarantine, and suddenly steps down the presidential car, go to a crowd without mask or any protection and starts to hug people.

Oh, wait, it was what the piece of shit which is the Brazilian president has done yesterday.

I live in Eastern France. The hospital covering our area of 225,000 people has 14 ventilators. About 79,000 people will be infected over the next few weeks. About 800 will need the 14 ventilators. It's just math at this point. Old people are in the "sink or swim" situation. The younger ones will get them... The end. I imagine it'll be the same situation all over the USA. Just do the math. Don't tell me the Americans have such a better health system- they don't because I know both of them. The US system is only better when money is no object.
As people go into gradual lockdown over the next weeks, I encourage them to seriously think about how their leadership handled the situation and how they could have led better. Vote appropriately. This is potentially one of the biggest events of this new decade.

Same situation here in Madrid. Both my wife and I are freelancers and everything has just stopped, no work at all for the foreseeable future (I reckon late April/early May at the earliest). Trying to get a few clients who haven't paid recent jobs to cough up what they can. My wife is thinking she my have to lay off her employee. Grim.
It's a total lock down, a very weird situation. You get up in the morning, it's a lovely spring day and think, "A walk in the park would be nice"...and then you remember! We are lucky as we live on the top floor of our building with a 15m2 terrace with plants, bbq etc. I'd hate to imagine what it's be like cooped up in a little flat for 15 days.
Having a nine month old baby keeps us occupied mind!
Other activities we have to keep us occupied are set up the Ikea hydroponics system we have lying around and try to grow some lettuce, learn how to ferment vegetables and make bread on Youtube, a bit more gardening, try to watch a film, repeat...we are already on day 4 here (only went out for some food and medicines)...tick tock

Me and my wife are self emoloyed too, that means there is no relief for us!
My wife stoped working for a week now, and I cancelled a few jobs I had booked, while I am expecting, or I will do anyway, the TV series I am working right now to be canceled together with my contract (written by the "producers" so they can do as they please with me. Modern capitalism has nothing to do with Adams and Webber anymore). All these will result at least 50-60% loss of our income for the 2020 (I mainly live from TV season, September to April-May).
Glad I didn't buy anything expensive recen..whoops, we bought a new car a month or so, ago! Well..
Here in Greece we were starting to build the economy again after the tragic decade that just passed, and now everything stops, while some of our neighbors are trying to push us to a full time war(!) with cultural and religion pretexts..
I just hope that we can fast forward to June/July and do small trips with my family while the outbreak is behind us and noone wants to do any fighting in the world.
2020 is such a weird year so far.

The President of our region here in Spain has just announced that we can't travel in our local municipality to try and contain the spread of the virus because "there is no other option, from this moment there is no freedom of movement"
Ironic really as I came here to get away from my own national government taking away my freedom of movement with their lunatic Brexit cult

As much as I don't want to discuss Covid-19 on a video site, I would like to ask my fellow forum members to not horde every single bit of soap and antibacterial hand sanitizer...
Antibacterial soaps/hand sanitizer gel will not kill Covid-19 because it is a virus and not a bacteria. Hand washing with regular soap will have a more beneficial effect.
With that said, when soap isn't available, hand sanitizer is an acceptable alternative but it will only have a lasting effect if everyone has access to it.
So please don't be one of the assholes that are stocking up for the End of Days.

Here in Italy it's also true. For example now our healthcare system is working close to maximum capacity in most regions and in some areas with the most covid19 cases is working beyond its maximum capacity, which means nurses working 10-12 hours instead of 8, lack of intensive care beds, etc. And part of the problem with this virus is that for years the healthcare system has been weakened because the political religion was and still is "privatization, austerity and liberalism are better" with many public services being given away to the private sector a small bite at a time.

We've already had 2 events cancelled due to the virus here in Madrid, Spain. So it's already affecting our income. Other events looking like they might cancel or postpone.
We also have rental apartments and bookings are way down. But I think I have a solution for that. We can hire them to the government as quarantine units!

To be fair, it is having a big impact here and two events I was definitely going to (CP+ obviously and New Order) have been cancelled but its because they are taking steps on an official basis whereas the UK and its absent leadership is basically just saying go home and take a lemsip.

I usually take a GH5, GH5S, 10-25 1.7, 12-35 2.8, 35-100 2.8, sound gear, monitor, maybe even a LED or 2 in a Lowepro 400 flipside backpack with a tripod strapped on the side. It's be difficult to take a similar 2 camera set up with FF.
The more I think about it what I really want from a GH6 would be GH5S performance with IBIS, some kind of ND, punch in to check focus whilst recording (don't think they can do that though), G9 evf, S1H lcd screen and slightly better ergonomics. The GH5 pair are already 2 great cameras.
A 35-85mm 1.7 to go with the other 1.7 zoom would be great.
And maybe a double battery attachment thingy (instead of 1 extra battery).

It's amazing to me how dismissive people are of the benefits of M43. To me the only "insurmountable" negative of the system, at least on the Panasonic side, is the auto focus but even that, in my opinion, is overblown. Everything else can be pretty much remedied. Poor in low light? Throw a little light on your subject/scene! Need shallow depth of field? Just use the right lens!
I understand why people love full frame. I really do! But you don't NEED full frame, you just WANT full frame. There's nothing wrong with that either but are you incapable of creating your vision using a smaller sensor? I doubt it.
Two weeks ago I filmed a pro wrestling event with my 3 camera set up. My buddy did stills using the A7iii with the Sony 70-200mm. I blew his mind when I showed him the GX85 with the 35-100mm f/2.8. The two side by side was comical. Cost of his set up, by the way? $4,600. I paid $250 for the GX85 and $400 for the 35-100mm on the used market. Even if I bought them new though it'd have been $1,500. I know it's not the best comparison, but my buddy could've easily done his job with a G9 instead. Price of that new? $1,200.
I'm rambling, sorry, ha ha, but hopefully some of that makes sense!

Rumored to be in the 20-35mm zoom range (40-70).
Would be awesome if they got closer to andrews 28-50.
Doesn't need to be pin sharp if it’s going to be manual and a video lens.

Apart the Japanese menus and to invariably miss the much professional interface design because simplicity is to excel the filmmaking norm matching a superior IQ quality of my P4K, I love my GX85 and my three GH1 units as well, great cams, will never sell not even one of them ; ) Yet on 1080 fence, my two GF5 units instead look like even smaller toys made of dreamlike and reliable standards anyway. Wonderful tiny capture device format factor BTW. MFT is the best format ever, let alone the incredible unique light glass itself when not for peanuts price : P
If you'd just want a 4K bargain to add to your arsenal, buy the G7 (I only have four of them! LOL : ) you'll be able to get in the range of 300-400 bucks.

On those words, I just try to resume the framework which grounds my MFT option route. I confess : D cams are an addition, so we need to buy good for affordable... : X
    E : -)
