Nice to know what is coming out, but it does put a lot of potential upgrades on freeze knowing the R5, R6, and Komodo are on the horizon. Those three cameras alone (not to mention a Cinema EOS camera with RF Mount) are reason enough to invest in RF mount for the foreseeable future over L-Mount, E-Mount, MFT, etc. 
Hoping the R6 basically has the 1DX III specs, but without the 5.5k raw to get the price point down.
- 10-bit 422 internal 4k up to 60fps
- 10bit 422 internal 2k up to 120fps
 
Add in IBIS, newer longer-lasting battery compared to EOS R, dual slots, and this would be an awesome camera. R5 will be for ruggedness, pro shooters, photographers who need 40 megapixels, and for those who need 8K, but the R6 may be the better video option for those who do mostly video. Will probably be better in low light and have no-crop in 4k, both things the R5 may struggle with a bit more. 
Despite my love for Panasonic's S1 and S1H, hard to argue with the RF Mount and once the R5, R6, and Komodo are announced, that's the direction I'll probably be going. 

Offcourse. For example: If you got a boring character, shoot him on a tripod. If you got a crazy @#@@#@#@ character, go all shaky handheld. Same with angles, lights, DOF, focal lenghts, composition. It all makes a difference.

The goverment decided that when feeling cold like symptoms you have to call your doctor and you can stay home for a week. All these cases are not tested on Corona. My wife is sick for 2 weeks now, she visited the doctor 3 times, she got some antibiotics, but we do not know she has got corona..(or my kids or myself who are coughing as well)

Yeah even Trump comes out looking better then our goverment. (no need to skip vacations, lets get those belgians back from Italy, no need to block flights, roads, borders, no need to skip events, ... 2 weeks later WHOOPSIE) 

Governments are too slow to react. Chinese were only one of the few to succeed to control it. Later but succeeded it. As Japanese too. For some reason cameras are usually made there, we can understand now why. The rest of the world should be ashamed, especially Europe. As European citizen, I am. A country should be governed by a government, not a toddler dictator that goes from 'we got this, it's just a flu, nothing to see here people, don't worry, business as usual' to 'DEFCON 5! RED ALERT! LOCKDOWN PROTOCOL INITIATED!' in a fingersnap, relies on his flawed personal judgements rather than listening to expert advice.
Well, one thing's for sure, we haven't seen the last of it yet. Man, simple island life just living of the land doesn't seem so bad right now.

Because of the Schengen Visa countries, where its easier to travel across infected countries (Italy, France, Germany and Span mostly) and cities without having easy proof of travel documents. UK comes outside this purview. Having said that, the fact that UK's junior minister of finance is infected herself, and the fact that she met Boris Johnson less than 2 weeks back (more like 1), is a grave matter for concern. UK is suddenly discovering more cases, probably daily, at an alarming rate. 
 
Right now, THE WHOLE WORLD needs to be in lock-down, with ABSOLUTELY NO travel between any country. Maybe, all cities should also be on lockdown. People should self quarantine themselves for a month, and hopefully, the spread should have reduced substantially by then.

Got the 1Dx III yesterday and I did play around a bit here some first observations:
 
The good:
Camera is really fast in everything, scrolling to images, menu etc.. is faster than the 1Dx II
20 fps silent shooting is really good and there is no slideshow effect is more like looking at video at 20fps.
Normal OVF seems to be improved and with the people/face priority seems to do a good job, test with 50mm at 1.2 in af-servo with my kid and was quite impressive. In LV with eye tracking is almost perfect.
The new AF touch joystick seem useful, need to get used a bit more but is already working out well for me.
FF 5.5k and 4k the image quality is really good.  4k crop it is similar to the 1Dx II but with the benefit of 10bit and log. 120fps FHD seems the same as the 1Dx II but would need to test more (also here benefits is 10bit log and also EIS works at 120fps too)
Video AF is a big improvements over the 1Dx II, face / eye tracking works really well. Also tracking objects seems better than the 1Dx II. For manual AF peeking and the arrows are quite useful.
EIS work surprisingly well at least from my first test especially up to 50mm, above is not that effective (at 200mm is not that great) but this is known. With a 24 1.4 seems gopro 7 style stabilization that is quite cool but need to test it out more.
All files types are now natively supported in Resolve so CRM, 10bit h265 and 8bit h264.
 
The not so good:
You can record RAW on one card and 4k proxy on another but you cannot record a 4k on both card at the same time. I knew it before but just doublechecked.
The video format menu is a mess, would be cool to be able to disable modes that I never use like all the HD ones and the IPB ones.
With the USB-C cable you can mount the camera as storage but strangely enough you can copy any file but not the CRM, you need to open the canon tool to copy. Of course with the card reader it works for all files.
Still no histogram while recording video, also no zoom in while recording.
On my machine with Resolve (Nvidia 1070) the h265 10 bit files are not HW decoded so they are very slow much slower that the RAW. H264 are fine. Apparently 1070 can only do h265 4:2:0 10bit HW decoding. 2070 can do also 4:4:4 but could not find if it can do 4:2:2.
As the LV AF is so good they could have offered an EVF as addon a la M6 so you can have both OVF and EVF.
 
Tomorrow I will have my first ice hockey match with it so I can test the AF for photo, I will try a bit with OVF and a bit in LV, maybe if I have time I will try to record some video too.

Even though many of these videos are helpful and I'd miss them if it weren't for you @Emanuel, I'm with @Snowfun on this one.
It almost feels like I opened YouTube and was greeted by my 'Recommended' section.
Some videos there are on point, some are random, some cover the same topic again and again. And how do I know, which are worth my time?
One could spend his whole life browsing through what YouTube offers us.
It's not that I don't appreciate your contribution - I really do. You keep quite a few threads afloat and try to arouse some discussion and that's awesome.
But if I could ask for only one thing, this would be some sort of a short commentary. What can we expect in the video, what did you find helpful / interesting, why did you choose to share it in the first place.
No need to be defensive (at least that's what I felt reading your post above), since nobody here tries to attack / offend you in any way.

Depends on the job, and I would advise anyone to think beyond getting a day rate.
The thing about day rates is they aren’t scalable.  They are based on time, and with only so many days you can work in the week, you can’t incline your income steadily. You could charge more, but then, you’re going to have to be a master specialist to achieve that. 
If it’s not TV, film or music videos....I advise anyone to not position themselves as a “videographer” or “filmmaker”. Instead you frame yourself as a business solution. Instead of talking about what shots you want to do, you talk about how you will get them a business result. 
This differentiates you from the over saturated  “videographer” role  - which in fact a lot of the  industry see as “low cost” and easy to negotiate your price down. You appear as a “problem solver” who can grow their business. 
Also, getting the client to think more about the business result allows you more freedom with the creative stuff!

Got a few client that gives a couple 5 figure jobs
But then u have expenses like rent, electrcity, wages etc
 
And there are more companies starting to hiring their own video/media personnel, we have 3 clients that turn internal last year.. so yeah its definitely a changing market.

I've been doing this for a decade and 2017 was the first year that I cracked low six figures, before taxes. I shoot, edit, and color behind the scenes and EPK for the major studios. What I make after taxes is between me and my accountant. I live in Los Angeles so living expenses are astronomical. My advice: take care of your body. I tore my rotator cuff six months ago and lugging cases from job to job has been hell on earth. Still haven't fully healed.

NAB is still two months away, and then it might be what, up to four months (or even MORE!) until products shown at NAB are widely available in stock?

So you might be waiting for a product, that may or may not exist, and if it does exist, could perhaps is half a year away??

At what point do you say enough is enough, and pull the trigger and buy? 

If a Kinefinity is what you want, and it seems like a good deal to you, then buy!

If not, then don't. As simple as that.

Mavo LF drops to 8k$, thats a 4K drop. Lets see what Zcam will do now with the F6. 2020 is going to be the best camera purchase year in a very long time  

No, I own a Z-Cam F6 and have since november. It has had ProRes from the beginning.

Zcam also have ProRes.

Zcam will also have ProRes - Once they get the license from Apple.

These shots are great, I recognize the 5D look, which I do miss in newer camera's(hopefully the new R6, R5 will bring it back, allthough I am shooting with an alexa LF this weekend, I hope I dont fall madly in love with that camera ). These nikkor lenses have been on my radar for a long time, but never actually made the purchase. Had some back luck with vintage lenses before. (Still have my leica summicron-r lenses though). I might get these and compare it to the summicrons. (did the same with the zeiss contax, but liked the overal look and handling of the summicrons more, allthough the contax is a stop faster).
