It was merely a comment on the way to common notion that a colored shadow isn't "real" or is in fact "wrong". When in fact, a grey or black shadow is more incorrect than a colored one. Orange/teal isn't an unnatural grade made up by computers, its how the world actually looks in certain hours of the day.

Im sorry if our discussion made it sound as if we where putting down the work you do. That was never my (and I suspect anyone else) intention.
It was merely a side discussion about how I have huge respect for you guys shooting weddings but that Im at the same time very glad I don't have/need to make them. Because they are simply not my cup of tea to watch and/or make.

From what I saw your posts are a lot about film festivals and popcorn. Something your target audience care very little about.
They care about one thing only, dogs being rescued.
I would start targeting dog owners, dog related groups and communities. On Instagram you can use up to 30 hashtags per post, use at least 10, if not 30. #dogsofinstagram #dogrescue etc. When you search hashtags on Instagram you see how popular they are, try different combinations and pick the once with +50k or something.
There are a million forums, FB groups and so on about dog, cat and other rescuing. Join them all.
As a dog owner I've seen a lot of dog and animal rescue channels on YouTube. I would approach the bigger once and try to cut a deal for a sponsored video. Maybe even a discount code with some kickback for the channel.
As anyone with a some what successful YouTube will tell you, the big numbers comes from other platforms such as blogs, etc. And still best of all, "unsocial media". Get on the news or in a paper and things start to happen quickly.
I used to work in marketing for the worlds second largest chain of animal hospitals and veterinary clinics and believe me, your TA is fanatic. Every time we got a rescue dog or cat that survived some type of ordeal it was a piece of cake planting the story in papers etc.
Until your movie hits big that hashtag is just a waste of the # key
But seriously, use that hashtag on all posts and then 29 to reach your TA.

This is what you get when you treat your customers like crap, severely cripple your cameras, and don't give the buyer good value for $$$.
They've been living on their laurels for some time now, and have failed to see the hand writing on the wall.
They can't say the weren't warned.
STOP RIPPING YOUR CUSTOMERS OFF, OVER CHARGING THEM, AND THEN STABBING THEM IN THE BACK!

So did Panasonic, Sony, Olympus, Fuji and Canon. An Atomos rep told me years ago when demonstrating the Shogun that they could do Raw to prores and later raw to raw over HDMI. He told me all the camera manufacturers where informed and they just needed to say "go".
So I naturally assumed the A7sii, which wasn't announced at the time, would be first. But no, they all decided to drag their feet for a couple of years first.
    Thank god for black magic.

Mattias Burling got a reaction from hansel in Hey Nikon - Where's the Z6 ProRes RAW Update?
To create and export it yes, but not to work with it. Atomos and the others aren't putting Prores in their machines just for Apple users.
So on a PC (at least the once I've used) I just import and edit Prores like I would on a Mac. When its time to export I use DNxHD or similar that a PC can create.
Unless the project is fine with h.264.
PS. To install Prores on to a PC I remember installing and uninstalling Quicktime Player. Might not be needed today. EDIT: wasn't needed when testing it just now.
EDIT: Just tested a clip from a BMPCC4K on my Office PC at work. A real piece of HP-junk only used for Words and Excell with Premiere installed just in case. It imported instantly and flowed smoothly.

Why would you need to convert on a PC? All the PCs Ive ever used edits Prores just fine.

It depends on preferred workflow etc. Personally, at this point I would still choose the Z6+Ninja over the s1 because its Prores and it has lenses.

Its interesting to me that when the Youtube hype train was in full motion for the A7iii and GH5 everybody was on board, but not this time. My only guess its because this camera is not meant for the audience of this forum.
And I seem to recall about 10,001 posts on this forum screaming for a mic jack in these types of cameras.
But jut like always, when we get it we immediately move the goal post.
Ive started shooting Polaroid again. Its liberating

Sold my Metabones XL for the sharper, adjustable and cheaper Viltrox. The EF-BMPCC from Metabones is great but the once for MFT are overpriced imo.

I love Peter Greggs channel and it was pretty interesting (even though expected) so I thought I would share it.
Its good to know that a couple of clouds was enough to save the Sonys. Finding shelter won't be doable for what I do in the summer but for some it of course is.
I wonder if an umbrella would be enough.

There is one huge difference between Sony and Panasonic, lenses.
That Sigma is going to release their lenses is not enough. They need to have already done it before people will even start to care. There is a used S1 + kitzoom that's been sitting a few weeks on a shelf in a camera store in Stockholm at a very reasonable price. Every time I see it I go, "hmm maybe I should buy it". But then I remember it will mostly sit on my shelf, waiting for lenses.
If you find out that they do, please let me know so I can get some free cameras

Just because you don't understand my point doesn't mean that others live in a dream world. Sony has lost so much money on their camera business over the last year's that it's gonna take a long time to recover.
You are talking about Sony as a whole and yes they make a lot of money. So do Panasonic. But it's not from cameras. Same with Fuji whos reports show its basically Instax film making the money in the photo segment, not the XT3.
But we have been down this boring road before where we argue about the same thing. A few talk about camera sales and others about cameras + water heaters. The numbers don't add up and instead of communication it's attacks and baiting. Then someone calls me an idiot and you explain that you are old and therefore right by default
So I will end it there.
All I say is read the financial reports and be critical. They to are written for marketing reasons. Don't just eat the propaganda. Ask why cameras are lumped with TVs in one company but separated at others? Ask why Sony lumps it with video cameras etc? Ask why some put them under "other"? And ask if you think they would show huge profits from a segment if they could, would share holders care?

Luckily there are many business men and women in your age that does not roll over and give up. Instead they see the potential for something different, which unlike what many believe, isn't the same as worse. Will be fun to follow which camera companies that gets it and doesn't die.
Trying to make the this century a copy paste of the last is a first class ticket to marginalization.

Don't flush money down the toilet because of a couple of turds. Always buy used.
Used A7 in store with six months warranty surfaces for sub $300 here at least once a month.

Pentax have more options, more function and more buttons, but their menus is way more intuitive.
My smartphone has way more options, +100,000 apps and accesses millions of web pages. None of them are that unintuitive.
I have no problem using the Sony menus, I of course know them after years of use. But the original design, from an objective perspective, compared to other cameras and devices, is absolutely awful.
In a world where UI and user experience is a key element when designing products the Sony menu is a joke.
@Robert Collins makes a good point about how reviewers is a good measure of how bad the menus are. If people that try out all kinds of different cameras with no issues and ease, still have to point out Sony as a weird example.. then it probably is.
Sony makes lovely cameras. But like all brands there are some downsides as well.
