@Neumann Films very cool.
Does the GH5s really have 2 more stops of DR than the GH5?
-
It would be nice to have extra DR. I wouldn't really care for a flatter image though. Arri Log C and BM Film are ideal in my opinion in terms of log curve.

no full VLOG curve:(
Is that different than V Log L?

Curious to see side by side images from GH5 and GH5s.

There are at least two problems with that. The first is keeping your child off of Youtube and Facebook is going to be a tough struggle and turn them into an outcast. The second is you will deprive them of the good content on Youtube... There is no good content on Facebook.
I didn't mean keep your kids off of YouTube, but just show them the better content and hope it sticks. It's the ole adage "no one knows what they want until you show them."

The only way to stop all of the shit is to not participate. Teach younger kids to find more substantive content. I've been off of Facebook for 4 years now and it feels good!

@tihon84 I used the SLR Magic 50mm 2x prime.

@Sage ok so main is like Arri Rec 709 with less contrast?

Hehe, looks great. Main and Soft are recommended overall as a base, because like Arri's Rec709, they have a special saturation recipe that isn't in LogC natively (its almost 'part' of the color science). The result is a much improved starting point to Arri's 709 look up table, in my estimation.
I tried Main but when I add a LogC LUT it looked too saturated and contrasty. What do you recommend using after applying MAIN?

I haven't had a lot of time with it but it's nice. Log C is a nice starting point in my opinion.

@jase Which camera are you using? Blackmagic is the worst with ND IR pollution. I always have to use an IR filter. Canon and Panasonic both seem to get away with little variable ND color shift to a degree.
-
Looking fwd to seeing what's going on here. I'm 99% happy with the GH5. The only other thing I could wish for would be an extra stop of DR.
-
It's tough. That awful brown tint is hard to fully correct. Tiffen makes and IR Variable ND, which reduces a lot of the IR pollution.

@Sage I agree with @Oliver Daniel
$49 might be the magic number. Not that your price isn't worth every penny, but it's more of a mentality for people.

Great work! Looking fwd to trying it.

@Neumann Films which PL to MFT adapter do you use?

@Zak Forsmanrad! Cant wait to see some footage. I just switched over to the Leica R cine mods as well.

I just visted a super trippy art installation in Santa Fe. Shot this in 4K anamorphic on the GH5. SLR Magic 50mm 2x Prime.

I would recommend Aputure as well. The 300d, and 120d/t lights are extremely versatile. They can be transformed from a fresnel, to an area, to a large soft source - thanks to the bowens mount. If you're shooting mostly indoors you could get away with 2 of the 120s. Maybe add a couple of Quasar Science 4' dimmable tubes. You can literally gaff tape those to a ceiling or wall for backlight/fill.

These comparisons always come up and what we end up comparing are static shots with comparable contrast and color. That's awesome for a phone, but the small sensor is still evident when EVERYTHING is in focus on the iPhone. f22 or bust.

I"m torn between IBIS and low light. I mainly use the GH5 for anamorphic now. It's nice to have some IBIS going handheld, but I'm always at T4-T5.6 on the SLR Magic prime, so the extra boost in low light would be very nice.
