I bet if you upscaled it and uploaded it to YouTube most people wouldn't notice it wasn't really 4K. FHDcrew

kye
The C100 would suffer from the same problem that all workhorse cameras suffer from - the best images from them are made by people who are so good at making images they don't post to social media and/or don't list their equipment if they do post. I wonder how many big budget productions have C100 shots mixed in with the C200/C300 main stuff but used the C100 as a higher-risk or mounted cam due to its size and relatively low cost if something happened to it. I've got the occasional beautiful image from my XC10 when the stars aligned and the location and lighting and composition were all working together, and that had a tiny sensor and 10x variable aperture zoom lens. The C100 almost matched it in pixel-peeing terms despite being 1080p and In similar situations the much larger sensor and ability to have nice lenses would be game over. Administrators Andrew Reid Posted July 13 Administrators Share Posted July 13 Has anyone noticed with some of the biggest tech reviewers on youtube like Hardware Unboxed or MKHB, there's a trend at the moment for deadpan anti-hype style reviews. Be careful with that as well, it's a style-change to counteract the falling viewing figures caused by them overhyping everything every day for the past god-knows how many years, as people catch onto it and get bored of it. eatstoomuchjam and Davide DB
Super Members BTM_Pix Posted July 14 Super Members Share Posted July 14 I was on a very, very slow internet connection this morning so YouTube was loading in instalments. It loaded the titles but the thumbnails were a long time coming and it’s interesting how much more appealing a lot of the videos were to me when just looking at the title but how much less so they were when the thumbnails eventually loaded. I’m probably missing out on a great deal of good content by my inner “oh fuck off you absolute tit” dialogue when I see the content creators stupid gurning shock faced bullshit. Whether the narcissism that infects so many of them would allow them to just do a content relevant thumbnail is the big question. I can hear the ”But the algorithm makes us do it” whining from here. The Dancing Babamef
a lot of the content on products made by big channels feel like infomercials. for example, i was interested in the S1 ii and a creator was talking about the 70fps burst mode but failed to mention that the buffer takes 35s to clear and you can't lower the burst fps at all. don't get me started on hardware unboxed, i trust my grandma more than him when it comes to testing and correct results 😁

Sad it is, that creators haven't learnt anything as it still continues... if we judge humanity by our youtube creators you'd have to say humanity is doomed. When i want to see a genuine shocked face, i go watch some thing from styropyro he is always good value.
MrSMW
4 hours ago, maxJ4380 said: creators 99% of the people on YouTube cannot be called 'creators' unless the word is applied after the word 'content' and that followed with, 'for the sake of' and more often than not, proceeded by the word 'banal'. An endless stream of copycats with very little originality. It does exist (originality) but there isn't very much. maxJ4380, newfoundmass, John Matthews and 2 others
Robert Collins
Dont you think we have reached the point that 'tech' has reached a certain 'maturity' that most people are not as interested in the latest iteration. That applies to mobile phones, pcs, macs, ipads, cameras (whether fixed lens or digital).

Maybe... It is for me as in my interest these days does still exist, but less than previously because all the things I have, I have because they do what I need them to do, when perhaps once, the things I had did not quite. The only thing I'm interested in currently is a new drone because my Mavic Air 2s is getting a bit old and flies a bit wonky due to err...a couple of collisions 🥴 But then I'm not really into tech beyond what I need something to do and never feel any need to have the latest phone (13 I think but not sure or really care) or MacBook (M2) or anything else. And I drive a 14 year old 150,000+ miler Skoda. I'd rather go back to a pre-2000 tech era actually where the skills were more important whereas today, there is a ton more smoke and mirrors fuckwittery to compete with...
