Tito Ferradans
There has been a recent crop of big diopters on eBay so I'm sharing here the ones I found. Canon 105CL-UP900H - 105mm +1.1 - $280 - https://ebay.to/2JeoDnX Canon 105CL-UP900H - 105mm +1.1 - $350 - https://ebay.to/2kKODg7 Canon 82CL-UP800H - 82mm +1.25 - starting at $75 - https://ebay.to/2JckUeA Canon 82CL-UP800H - 82mm +1.25 - $100 - https://ebay.to/2sFp6IH (3 available) Canon 82CL-UP1300H - 82mm + 0.7 - $130 - https://ebay.to/2xGp7C4 SLR Magic duo 77mm +0.33 and +1.33 Achromatic - $200 - https://ebay.to/2Ligdg6 Minolta 72mm + 0.33 Achromatic - $350 - https://ebay.to/2kMFMuj And I got a few myself I'm letting go: Minolta 72mm +0.33 Achromatic - $350 - https://ebay.to/2JfpB3s RedRock Micro 72mm +10 Achromatic - $165 - https://ebay.to/2sttk71 Fujinon 8072 72mm +1.25 CRACKED - $30 - https://ebay.to/2Hg8NaB The 105mm are quite rare and work with a great number of high-value lenses recently like the Iscorama 54, or the Rectilux HCDNA for that little bit closer focus and can also be wedged in front of the LA7200, so I don't expect these to last long. xaviermarysculpture
Hello, Do you know if diopter larger than Tiffen 138 mm does exist ? I'm looking for one around 165 mm.
Art V.
Hi... If there's nothing readily available around 165mm (6 1/2 inches), you could probably adapt a large diameter achromatic objective to work for you. I checked a 2013 Edmund Optics catalog but they had nothing larger than 128 mm, and those were very expensive ... $1,200 in the mounted version. Buying a used telescope (refractor) and using the objective might work. Or... contact an optics manufacturer like this one (old link) http://www.dgoptical.com/objective.htm and describe what you need. Prices are hair-raising, so the best might be to find a used consumer-grade telescope that "needs work" (affordable), with an objective as large as you need, the longer the focal length, the better. Hannes Famira
Hey all you square-front Lomo owners, there is a beautiful square diopter on eBay right now and I have never seen such a thing. I thought someone here might get a kick out of this: https://ebay.us/RE0fDE

Elnur86
Hello friends. I'm new to anamorphic ? Help please find the lens to single focus. I have isco ultra star plus... What lenses can be used as donors?
Nrubloc
You may get a better response rate to your question, if you ask this same question in the main Anamorphic section instead of this “Diopter Thread”. As for single focus solutions there are a few these days to choose from. Of course just make sure they are the proper size for your anamorphic front. Here is one version to check into as a possible option to explore: Rapido Front Variable Diopter 16A (FVD-16A) , $550 http://www.rapidotechnology.com/products-services/front-variable-diopter-fvd More Info https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIY_RCKq_Rs Anamorphic Comparison w/ the Rapido FVD-16A vs Rectilux Hardcore DNA | with Kowa 16D & 16H Anamorphics https://vimeo.com/277831080 As for the main “taking” lens to use that attaches to the camera, you can use the search option in the forum to find various discussions on that which would probably cover your needs. Here is also a link you may find helpful, as your particular anamorphic the Isco Ultra Star Plus which is mentioned there as well. https://www.eoshd.com/comments/topic/20783-building-an-anamorphic-lens-kit/ Elnur86
Stab
Hi guys, I just bougth an SLR Magic Anamorphot 40 compact adapter 1.33x. The 'near / normal' focus ring on the end works quite well, but won't let me rack focus from far to to near objects in one go. So for that I would need a single focus solution. Now I know that SLR Magic itself offers the 'Rangefinder' which would solve all my problems, but from reviews and sample footage I know that this thing really deteriorates the image quality. What else could I buy that would give me the abillity to have single focus (and preferably also offers closer focus) that doesn't impact the quality as much? The Anamorphot adapter has a 62mm filter thread. Is there a 'normal ' diopter that could just sit on the adapter 24/7? Or any other device such as the Rangefinder which would work? Thanks! You can take a look at Rectilux's Hardcore DNA and Rapido's FVD-16A. Both are just superb - there is almost none image degradation, even when you use your taking lens wide open. They are a bit pricier than Rangefinder, though (especially HCDNA).

I have heard about them. But I can't find if they will work with this adapter. This adapter has a front filter ring (62mm) and is very different from the old projector kind of anamorphics which require a 'clamp' to hold anything at the front end. If anyone could shed some light on this that would be great.
heart0less
Both HCDNA and Rapido are quite heavy and that's why they are often mounted using clamps. FVD-16A has a thread on its back - it's a 75 mm (female, and that's quite unusual since almost every filter has a male thread at the back) thread. HCDNA - can't really say much about it because I've never considered it as an option, sorry. Stab
Tito Ferradans
You can get an adapter for the FVD that gives it 72mm threads, and then just use a step ring to connect it to the front of your 40-Compact. Stab

Tito, asking, you're a guru! Is it possible to put the single focus element not in front of anamorphic lens BUT between the taking lens and anamorphic. It would be easier for focus pulling and matte box usage. Thank you!
