Where abouts do you live? I agree on the word of mouth thing. Every job I get is from making a friend/connection.
You could also be like me and have no health insureance, no vacation money, no retirement money and live with 10 other people so you pay little to no rent 🤣🤣😥

If he got what he needed at the show then any advantage the A73 has wasn't needed.

You have an interesting idea of fun

Come on bros.
Deep down, you know the Canon R5 is more like this:
I will be honest here, the only "rumor" that I was excited about in the R5 is the 4K/120 - that wasn't mentioned in the announcement, and there is a possibility that the cripple hammer will land on the rumor itself.... so it is what it is... lets have a good laugh and move on.

thebrothersthre3 got a reaction from heart0less in Fuji X-T3 and X-T4 discussion
Just did a test comparing the XT3 RAW image files to the internal H254 4k files. I set sharpening on -4 and NR on -4. The RAW files were converted to JPEG in Lightroom with sharpening and NR off.
I was looking at comparisons between the Pocket 4k and the Fuji and was surprised how much sharper the Fuji looked. The test was really to see if there was any internal sharpening going on inside the camera with sharpening at -4. The RAW image is lower contrast for some reason, both shot in eterna.
Pictures zoomed 250%
Top RAW bottom 4k H264

Company turn over, under a million
Got a few client that gives a couple 5 figure jobs
But then u have expenses like rent, electrcity, wages etc
And there are more companies starting to hiring their own video/media personnel, we have 3 clients that turn internal last year.. so yeah its definitely a changing market.

American Express make quite a bit out of my cinematography and video work.

Yeah the Aputure 300d ii is not a heavy light, any C-stand will handle it fine.

Quasar battery powered bi-color tube lights are great.

I am fine with 1080p content for sure, I usually downscale to HD or shoot in HD and then render in 4k for youtube.
I am actually looking into Super16mm film glass. The URSA is S35 but if you shoot RAW in 2k or HD its cropped, which good be useful if I want to invest in those kind of lenses.
I did shoot some footage with the URSA, but I have no lenses for it so it was a black screen lol. Waiting on my EF mount to arrive so I can test it with glass.

Yeah I think Cinema 5d really f'ed up with their dynamic range testings on it. The Pocket 6k is way overlooked image wise. It really goes toe to toe with almost any camera out there.

Its fun for me and I don't really lose much money. I am not racking up credit debt buying REDs! I just sell out one kit to buy another. Probably don't need to but its more fun that way.

Holy cow! -3ev to -6ev, that is huge! If it really works at -6ev it will be the best performing AF on the market.
Classic Neg is exciting too.

I think the A73 is better but not by a lot. Also the A73 auto focus is very very good. Just because there is better doesn't make the A7III's bad. Its like saying the Panasonic S1H sucks because the Arri Alexa has a better image.
Anyways this new auto focus update is crazy if true.

Could just be a stylistic thing. Film forces you into a certain look pretty much, where as digital you have a lot more freedom to ruin the image lol. I believe that a very talented colorist could match digital to film and you'd not know the difference.

thebrothersthre3 got a reaction from Juank in Is this the Fuji X-H2 sensor with 12bit 8K?
If its a cheap 8k camera with fuji color, ibis, and amazing auto focus I don't care how big it is.
Sure Canon is releasing smaller mirrorless 8k cameras but I am sure they will cost a mint. Plus fuji lenses are tiny making the whole package lighter regardless.

The original URSA is cool, definitely less dynamic range probably 1.5 stops difference. They are going for really cheap these days too. $1600 for one in good condition with accessories. Global shutter is definitely desirable for me.
Well work wise I do a lot of stuff gaffing, assistant camera, videography, PA work, really whatever I can get. I used to be more into making my own films but I was just too busy to do it last year. If I can get one film done this year, one of my own, I'd be content. I really am avoiding working on anything I don't think I can execute perfectly. Right now my big project is DP'ing and co-producing a short film that we are shooting in the next couple months. I am also in the writing process for a film of my own that I am hoping to shoot in 3-4 months.
XT3 will definitely be the wedding camera, though I am doing as few weddings as possible this year. Though the URSA mini could be fine for the less critical parts of weddings, B-roll stuff. XT3 fills the need when I need something small to hang off a C-stand lol, or to put on a gimbal or when I need Auto focus. Its really a very capable camera. Its small things that add up like punch into focus while recording, Panasonic cameras can't do that and it really annoy me haha.
