Seems like the biggest requirement of HDR is dynamic range, and every modern mirrorless I know of does over 10 stops, even without log. I am pretty sure 10 stops is what HDR displays.

Any will work ok, but some soften the image. Cheaper ones also have color shifts so you have to manually white balance to get proper color. Here is an article covering some of the better ones. Variable ND's are never the best option, as they can have a bad effect on skintones. There is no stabilization in the camera itself, but many (probably most) Panasonic lenses are stabilized.

Yeah its not that you can't shoot a good looking picture on a GH4, the question is why would you. Budget is the obvious answer, but on most professional productions renting an actual cinema camera, is not a significant cost.

Yeah smaller companies are often better. The huge companies just don't care because they don't have to. Not always the case obviously.

Yeah I don't think they are using Cinema 5d science to measure it. If it has similar or slightly higher DR then the Ursa 4.6k I'd be happy though. I want to see Cinema 5d's DR number for the Alexa.

Yeah, as I suspected. Their numbers are lower then most companies claim. So 11.2 stops seems really low on the XT3 but when they are rating the FS7 and Ursa Mini at under 13 stops, that changes it.

Yeah but Kinefinity isn't really competing with anyone, very small market. Yeah but even their most expensive drone (which is not even expensive at $599) only has a 2 axis gimbal. I don't see anyone putting out DJI level products or even attempting.

A lot of people in the Gimbal market, but it seems like DJI really owns the Drone market, who else really competes with them in terms of high quality products? Would definitely be interesting to see some other companies start getting into the mix.

You are going to be shooting at 400 iso? I wouldn't think you'd need any noise reduction unless you were shooting higher.

Right now they have limited stock so people will pay more so they don't have to wait. Who do you think will put out a RAW camera? Sony and Canon can't even do 10 bit internal yet. Pana is moving to full frame, so I doubt the GH series will see RAW.

They sold for about $1000 originally right? Usually when the next gen camera comes out the prices drops. I just don't see a Black Magic Pocket 6K or 8k coming out any time soon. I think the BMP4K will be a staple for a bit. I don't see Panasonic or any of the hybrid companies dropping a camera that shoots RAW.

I really don't mind at all. My favorite body so far has been the GH5.
