  1. I was under the impression Slog has less noise reduction
  2. Pretty much all sensors are made by sony these days tho haha. Some people were saying the GH5S color looks better because its being sampled from a 14 bit sensor vs the 12 bit on the GH5. Honestly it makes no sense to me tho.
  3. Definitely impressive, though when taking it into post they aren't gonna hold up too well.
  4. Iphone was blowing out a lot more and looked sharper. The motion looked better on the black magic for me as well, noticeable when the bird was splashing in the water. That said at first I thought it was a comparison between the original pocket and the 4k, and I thought the B cam was the 4k lol.
  5. Let me know what kind of results you get. I'd love to use something like a 70-200mm or 85 1.8
  6. Yeah the differences become more apparent when you get tricky lighting conditions. In that test above I could spot the EOS R a lot due to the lack of DOF. The big issue with the video in the original post is Slog has a lot more noise then standard profiles, so when comparing ISO its really unfair. If he used the standard profile or Cine4 it would look very clean.
  7. I am feeling iffy about the Panasonic full frame. I am guessing it will lead in internal IQ, but I fear they are going to stick to their outdated contrast detect focus system.
  8. I think the 4k 60p out of the XT3 is much better then the 4k 60p out of the GH5. The higher bitrate, better codec H265 vs H264, and 10 bit really give it an advantage. That said the 10 bit 422 footage out of the GH5 has an advantage over the XT3 as the Fuji only does 420 not 422. The XT3 holds more detail at higher ISO's though. If you are good at grading you should be able to get good colors out of 10 bit 422 though either way.
  9. Good to hear. I've seem some tests done for still images but not video.
  10. I think sony has more options at this point, that was mainly what I was referring to.
  11. Hard to believe how silly people are, well not really, but still.
  12. Agreed. Its hard to go without IBIS after having it in the GH5. Being able to slap an old 50 1.4 lens on and get steady footage is amazing. That said I am sticking with the Fuji, auto focus is amazing and colors are definitely better if you like out of the box color.
  13. Has anyone tried adapting lenses to the Fuji xt3 with a Fringer adapter? I am interested in the auto focus reliability in video and how it compares to native lenses.
  14. If the adapter works well all the Nikon lens options gives Nikon an edge over Sony. But the Sony native lens options are probably better.
  15. Yeah but like you said Slog3 wasn't designed to be used with the A7 cameras.
  16. Shot in summer/fall of 2017 and finished editing early this year. Really just made this to test out my GH5(since sold) and to play with practical blood and wound effects. Though the Punisher has been a favorite for my youtube shorts.
  17. Seems to have good iso, dynamic range, color, and auto focus. The face tracking looks to be perfect. The XT3 really needs to improve face tracking, though it is cool that is has it at all in video for the price. Anyways the Nikon definitely looks like a real winner and finally some competition for Sony in the Full frame market. 10 bit out is pretty cool too. I am hearing the IBIS is one of the better ones on the market.
  18. The side handle battery solution looks awesome.
  19. Yeah Fuji could jump into cinema cameras. I could definitely see them taking from Canon. An XT3 in a bigger body with internal RAW, that would do it.
  20. Yeah I guess it just depends who will wants to sabotage their camera line first. I mean its pretty cool to have the option to rig a camera up, and then also have the option to "almost" put it in your pocket and go anywhere with it. Though some people have no need for the pocket part.
  21. Before now the C200 was very appealing to me. It has a RAW option, and when that isn't convenient, the 8 Bit looks very good. With the XT3 and BM Pocket 4k out its not as appealing to me. Still has that traditional cinema body though.
