I unerstand what you mean, I just not going to shoot on 6K anytime soon, and the Pocket 4K can be used with 0.64/0.71/0.75/2X adapters, a lot more versatile.
    Thanks.

you know, i think there's the potential for the ultimate video challenge in here. One of those self produced underground guerilla indie one man band or in your case (women)  thingies. We could start a movement. We could rule the world. OK ruling the world might be abit ambitious we could probably leave that off the agenda, till next month ?
kaylee i seriously doubt there's a career in it, for me anyway .?
this is more like an exploratory journey, tying off a whole bunch of loose ends and learning a bunch of new things in the process. Mercer's making a movie. Kevin mcCloud built an off grid house. The skies the limit, i tells you (even then maybe not, if you can make enough of your own rocket candy but i digress) ?
Besides i seem to be accumulating alot of gear lately. The idea of a new shed to keep it all safe from the elements and will double as a set is extremely intoxicating, and to be honest the bedrooms getting a little cluttered
i might have to start a blog, total video production for the totally inexperienced. Hmm i wonder if bucket list productions is taken ?

AH melancholy... for me at the moment its been martika,  toy soldiers. It plays on my mind alot, so much so that i even have a rough draft for a video.  I have to flesh it out abit more and build a set. Ironfilms will get a giggle out of this, but i was inspired by dave dobbyns loyal video in which the whole thing is one take. Not sure how many videos are one take but considering that it was made in 1988, it made an impression i guess...

Those new Vlogging features and improved Hypersmooth are great. Audio sounds a lot better too.
I'd really like changeable lenses, though

i googled it, found a few videos on it. Here is one vid that might give you some idea of how bad it is or whether you could live with it or not   https://youtu.be/uGLx5plyZg0 . Talk about the blue spot starts just after halfway. Since i plan on using it with anamorphic lenses i hope that it either gets hidden in the lens flares or compliments the lens flares but thats my enthusiastic newbie  attitude talking ? time will tell

i for one, like your putrid images, more substance than the say the girls on film thread. but each to their own i guess. by all means  people should post a few images from new lenses that are acquired, but maybe start a thread if its to be an ongoing exercise. its nice too hear about a nice lens somebody has used but proof of the pudding is in the seeing i think.

not sure thats a valid statement for you to make, kaylee will gut you like a fish if your not careful.
i have heard...... if you have to ask the price, its too expensive.
they say there are two certainties in life, death and taxes.  But i believe there are two other constants as well... If it has wheels or it wears a dress, it will cost you money ?

I have a lens and it's coming from Russia so you can't say it's not Russian. Thought about the 85mm but I have the Pentax 85mm 1.9 so I wasn't keen to get another. got something else something a little different a little out there I hope.

what is this might business   ?. if my tax return comes in  and the stars align i hope to have an 0.64 metabones speedbooster to throw into the mix as well. i know that there are plenty of  0.71  available but im holding out for a 0.64.

I feel like an intruder perhaps going to a reduser.net site. Like I should put on some Ppe gear ? in case I catch something. The 85mm is tempting then I could do the anamorphic thing again. I was looking at something Russian but couldn't  seem to find an adapter for it. So I'll keep searching

hmm, you could buy 33 bmp4k's  @ $1800 australian for 59400 but you probably want to only get 30 and have some change for memory cards and a couple of rig solutions  and a tripod perhaps

wasted sounds a bit severe, considering there is not that many other options and none of them are cheap. Perhaps you should look at like joining an elite club, only certain members get in and the riff raff stays outside ?

Yeah, I did this and the final movie was a mess and I didn't like it.  Not because of technical choices, but because I started shooting without a shot list, just a generic story line.  Sometimes you capture stuff that's compelling, other times it just never really gels.  Went into it hoping it might flow together somehow and I'd get lucky.  Nope.  I chalk it up to my wife and I not really being "into it" once boots were on the ground.  We were crew and cast, so it just went sideways from the start as we both don't really like being on camera.
    So,
no dialog, no nat sound, only one crazy lens (pentax a110 f2.8 with an adapter that light leaked), started with music or soundscapes you've never worked with and then was shooting something to match the music, no scouting, found locations that looked cool and used them. Whew.
I can't even go watch the thing now 'kuz it's so cringy to me.  Learned a lot about myself and the wife though!

I have never really used 35mm (FF angle of view) lenses very often, not something I every really wanted I guess and my only lenses that covered that are/were zooms.
I have never got what many saw in it to the point some use it as their ONLY lens.
That said, I have started putting my ancient Canon FD 24 1.4 L on my little APSC (1.5x crop) Sony Nex and I think I am really going to like it.
I do like it on FF at 24mm but I think it will get used a lot more now on crop.
Way too shallow DOF close in for video for me at 1.4 or even f2 I think but fine for stills and stopped down will have its uses for video.
I should have stopped this down a bit I think.

one music video that i thought was  creative visually and an interesting song musically in itself  is
    another song i like is
i kinda like the juxtaposition of a woman onscreen and a man voice singing. plus the acting fits the song i think. the brunette is kinda cute which sells it for me lol
But the eighties definitely had some cool things happening musically
another dude i think is pretty interesting musically is this bloke, i dont want to take anything away from tommy or phil emmanual or Mark Knopfler but i think you have to be pretty switched on to play like this.

I was inspired by those Cinama5D P6K tests and take attempt to exam BMMCC in near similar conditions. DNGs processed with workflow described here https://forum.blackmagicdesign.com/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=65149&p=543725#p537852
My background is simple black fabric, so it is darker and so more extreme test than Cinema5D examples, you can compare things by Color Checker patches.
Let's be honest, even P6K can't provide usable underexposed 5 stops. It looks too noisy and became plastic mess if you add SNR. Sort of horisontal FPN lines also became visible in Sony sensors.
So we see here is 5 years old native HD camera with Fairchild Imaging dual gain sensor fights against gigantic 6K/4K modern Sony sensors in downscaled to HD mode.
3 stops under expose is pretty usable with BMMCC as well as P4k/P6K. If only we can fight FPN it could be extended even further...
P.S. I only can imagine what newer Fairchild Imaging dual gain sensor is capable of. Along to 4K it technically waaaay less noisier (Dark Current: 2 e-/sec compare to BMMCC sensor: 25 e-/sec, Ursa 4.6K sensor: 15 e-/sec) (Read Noise 1.0 e- RMS. BMMCC sensor: 1.2 e- RMS, Ursa 4.6K sensor: 1.5 e- RMS)
It is better to see images at full size in new tab:

And same examples, but with noise reduction (applied before expose push) and with fIlm emulation LUT applied:
