  1. if they have some blues and green meds like in the bourne movie. I'm down for anything that would lift my iq 😁 you win triple bonus and all. Im not sure what you win through. theres apparently a story on a current affair tomorrow night about a couple from that cruise ship stuck off japan. they then endured two weeks at a quarantine station. Doesn't sound like their very happy with the measures implemented. hey ironfilms is devondale a nz company ? as i did buy a couple of liters of long life milk yesterday, just in case. nothing quite like a tall glass of cold milk.
  2. thats the next video challenge then, document your best tinfoil hat / mask build
  3. @Tito Ferradans might be the man to ask, he's like the guru with the mojo, i'm sure he'll turn up sometime shortly.
  4. well its 4. 53 pm here also be aware, as masks go, option 2 isn't likely to cause any major panic
  5. I suspect coronavirus is probably going to put the kibosh on pretty much everything for awhile. No matter what area your involved in. May be a good time for england to pick up the pieces in couple of months if things get back to normal. Scrap that europe business idea, get it happening in england. Surely england could put on a good trade show. Get the queen down there signing a couple of fuji's perhaps, you could even flog btm_pix a stall for ten pounds 😉. It would work for a couple of years at least but i think mirekti is right things are changing, peoples are looking for cheaper options.
  6. you should be shooting some decore shampoo commercials heartoless, that hair / model shot is really nice. Although i am particularly drawn to the black and white image and the glow around the lights and how the light falls away. I seem to be feeling a little melancholic of late. Been visiting youtube in an effort to learn about black and white in davinci resolve.
  7. you and your minolta's and andrew and his cooke lenses are playing the devils advocate with my wallet. Actually any lens thread is a bit of a danger. 🙄 My eyes lit up when you mentioned 58mm f1.2 so i ebayed it their probably about the same as canon fd 1.2 or even pricier perhaps. It seems any vintage, fast lens or wide / faster than standard lens gets expensive fast once you stray from the nominal 50 mm type lens. I upgraded my internet plan about a month ago which has meant alot of youtubes on various lenses, which kind of lead to an... indiscretion with a russian lens. I'm kind of interested in finding either a pentax 17mm f4 or the 35mm f2 next that will kinda round out the collection of pentax m42's i have then. Some are smc some are just super taks. I don't think i have defined a look that i like yet. Something i'll have to spend some time on shortly. I'm not fixated on pentax (well i don't think i am ), but it seems to me they have just been the easiest to adapt from m42 to ef for the canon, then the p4k came along which led to the speedbooster onto m4/3 mount. Once i got to six, i thought i should just get the whole set 😁 On the whole most video reviews seem like the m42's so i feel i haven't done too bad by purchasing them as i could afford it.

    Mad Mike case

nasa likes nikons and the FE would have a flat film plane which ties in nicely with the flat earth theory 😎
  9. If you can provide dng's of those things, sitting inside your ears as ear buds do. i'll be mightily impressed 😲 and Joya2islam can post away edit : no photoshopping either

    Mad Mike case

no no, we give him proper send off, burial at sea in a large wooden barge, complete with flaming arrows and watch him ascend to vallhella. Oh and we should probably film it too 😎 science proves seatbelts save lives, i think your crazy if you dont wear one willingly
  11. ding ding, round two. I er..... recently weakened, not enough money to get some ram, but i was surfing youtube and a found another russian lens that i found rather interesting and for a measly $35 including postage, its now on its way to a new home 😁
  12. Me, I'm embarrassed to say 🙄 I can also say the version of resolve that came with the p4k was abit unstable, later updates seemed to have sorted that and now resolve runs quite well. I run at 1080, haven't used proxies. Actually i just checked my p4k, must have been playing around, last setting were black magic raw, ultra hd, constant bitrate, 8 to 1, to t5 ssd. Resolve takes a few seconds 10-20 maybe to import the footage and most of the clips i imported were about ten seconds long. upgrading the ram is one of the things on the agenda, just waiting for a few days work. My laptop is a dell and the ram maxes out at 16gig so i guess i 'll chucking another 8 gig of ram at it some time soon i hope.
  13. pretty couple, awesome video, nice staging if thats whats its called and the lacquer on that door is incredible. I want one , actually i want both doors 😀
  14. in the Stuff Made Before 1920 Is Now Royalty Free thread. Joya2islam has copied a post of mine and inserted a link to ear buds
  15. you have spammed my post, consider yourself reported. everyone else spammer alert !!
  16. Any chance you could ease your way into the industry ? Do weekend video work perhaps, build a portfolio that sort of thing. I imagine changing careers, cold turkey would be quite stressful for everyone involved, especially so if there is less money coming in. Not sure anyone is going to give you a completely honest answer. Who wants some new kid on the block digging away at their turf ? its a bit like the youtube question on, how much money people make. Nobody is going to say its a walk in the park and their living the life of riley. Cause then everyone would would jump on the band wagon. If you have been doing some video work on weekends and getting paid for it and you can almost make ends meet, i'd say go for it. Otherwise you might be better off chipping away at it for a bit longer. Thats my 2 cents worth.
  17. not sure if you are aware of http://www.timescapes.org/ they have forums on building your own and the are a couple of companies that do long term solutions. Some searching on that site may help and perhaps things have progressed since i was there last. Only problem is its pretty quiet there, not as active as it used to be.
  18. give it to @kye . I seem to remember him doing something similar, with an action camera some time ago 😎
  19. the original usb cable that comes with the t5 ssd does indeed hang out the side quite away, a ugreen 90 degree usb cable gives a much improved streamlined setup. Cant really blame samsung for not putting a 90 degree connection on one end. Who would have thought we'd be hanging ssd's of cinema cameras 9 months ago 😲
  20. i dont think animals are the issue, animals are quite content to keep doing what they have been doing for thousands of years and not bothering anyone, lets not take it out on the poor animals. I live in the country, i'm probably surrounded by thousands if not millions of wild animals ranging from bugs up to kangaroos, wild dogs and wild pigs and deer. There are two issues at play here 1) Its mankind in general thats the issue. Whenever man interferes with natural order of things, things get out of kilter very quickly. whether thats an algae bloom or pig / bird virus. My generation and the ones that have come after it, have benefited greatly from vaccinations and penicillin. but if you asked a virus expert they'd probably agree that microbes are starting to fight back. 2) god gave Israel food laws, some animals are clean and good to eat, some are unclean and not good to eat. there's probably a bloody good reason why bats are unclean and bad to eat. England learnt this lesson what ? 20 years ago with mad cow disease, there are some things, one shouldn't stick in your mouth or the mouths of other animals. That's why you should only buy 100% grass fed beef and lamb from aus/nz 😀 China doesn't like looking bad in front of other countries any whistle blower in china is unlikely to survive the experience. Regardless or whether is is manufactured or mutated from the wild. Tienanmen Square should prove that beyond reasonable doubt, I'm willing to bet that china would have loved to go into hong kong and the other areas that have been protesting recently with a few tanks and soldiers. The only thing keeping those protesters safe is the large amount of the worlds media being there to keep an eye on things. getting back on topic, should you not be successful in obtaining a sony, bmd do make a fairly viable option i'm sure 😉
  21. i dunno. Seems like its hard work to get people involved in anything. We had the $200 camera challenge, kyes, soviet lens challenge. Neither of them got a lot of traction considering the population of eoshd. Recently mr reid's even suggested a cooke lens hunt which sounds intriguing but finances for me are bit constrained at the moment. long time ago i learned, you can lead a horse to water but that don't mean the horse is necessarily going to have a drink ! I quite liked the challenges aspect tended to push me into doing things i probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. Not that the results were spectacular but the point being i had a go. Might be time for another "challenge" perhaps if we bash away at something long enough maybe someone else will jump in and have a go as well.
  22. driving back from melbourne. i found a park with a war plane in it. I remember the plane being on its wheels and about 50 meters from the main road pretty much behind where you are standing. I dont think the park was that big either and i remember the plane being bigger. I did take turn around and stopped to take a few photos but cant seem to find them at the moment. More towns should have planes or attractions, breaks up the monotony of a long drive. Probably should put a pie shop across the road from the attraction as well.
  23. when i need a giggle i visit ebay and type in blackmagic p4k, there several priced at about double what you could buy one for at retail in aussie dollars. i think the correct term is scalping, but surely any one with half a brain would by from a retailer but maybe not 🙄 None advertised on ebay are better than retail price, you may as well by new and get the full warranty

    bmp4k adventures

Ok had to go into town today, took the p4k and the viltrox speedbooster and the tokina 28-70 up to the look out. Been trying to sort infinity focus out on the viltrox speedbooster. Thats been problematic, with all the trees that surround my property, its been hard to get a good focus on a subject in the distance. While i could cut down all the trees to improve the view, i figure with half of australia burning or burnt out probably wouldn't hurt to leave a few trees standing for now. Anyways after some playing around i have pretty much maxed how much in one direction i can get the optics to turn in the viltrox. below i have included a jpg from today's effort. I can get focus peaking from the first houses to the houses in the back of the photo. Plus i get a little peaking from the foliage halfway between the houses to the horizon. i would like to other peoples experiences to see if theirs are the same. At this point unless someone comes up with more information i presume that's about as good as i will get it. I tried peaking on clouds and the moon for the ultimate infinity, but i didn't have much success. Still the moon is up at about 3 am at the moment, if i wake up early i'll have another go.
  25. after this, hard to believe people complain about the form factor of the p4k 🙄
