  1. thats just amazing 😲 really like the lighting of the first scene. Very well thought out and executed. I like where your heads at 😀
  2. well done anaconda. At the opposite end of the spectrum. May i present my shamefully exploited cat. Turns out he doesn't mind a bit of dop work 😉 Rather than edit the longer bits i learned how to speed things up in resolve. hope you get get a giggle out of it.
  3. i do envy your L series canon lenses.😉 my plans tend to fluctuate abit depending on my mood. Which might be an over dramatization, but you get the idea. If i had the money i'd be leaning towards the sirui anamorphic for the sheer convenience. But i have the elmoscope type 1 already, so it probably makes more sense to get a fvd for it. i'm also interested in getting a wider faster lens. Trying to keep it in the family the pentax m42 35mm f2 seems to be a reasonable price on ebay, but the aus dollar has taken another tumble. If i didn't keep it in the family there's a lot more options to go wider and much faster however the cost seems to escalate rather rapidly. With everything up in the air with corona virus and the aussie dollar sitting at the bottom of the Mariana trench i doubt i'll buy anything soon unless the lens market on ebay goes into freefall 🙄
  4. yeah with the aus dollara at the moment looking at ebay is just like window shopping 🙄 colour me cynical, i doubt that the government even cares, a low aus dollar just means someone can can sell more iron ore, aluminum and coal, yay more royalties/ taxes. Of course the other side of the coin is, to buy something costs more + gst so as far as the government is concerned its a win / win.
  5. you guys, should see a vet or doctor or perhaps both 😲
  6. lots of potential there. One of the more interesting/ creative timelapse movies i ever watched was the wizard of speed and time.
  7. just line up three cameras together and blend in post ? If you can tear @BTM_Pix away from his chocolate bars he could rig something to fire them of together i'm sure 😁
  8. so does anyone want to start a channel on chaterbate ? 😉 the government reckons we are going to get a $750 bonus for the low income people which i'm apart of. If that money does turn up, it be nice to get a lens but the reality is its already spent on repairs on machinery, so at least i keep a local fed and watered for a bit. The overseas economies will have to wait for awhile longer for my support.
  9. i'm down with the lego. bout time i regressed a little but i want it cinematic and a predator or alien maybe both
  10. my cat has alot of er... dignity not sure he'd condescend to wearing some kind of vest with a gopro and rode mic. Still rigging the cat up, could make for an interesting video in itself 😎
  11. i think it comes down to personal preferences. Perhaps what you have used before or what you currently use. Presumably cameras have gotten closer to being cinematic. But that cinematic look is very subjective and varies between users. I also think it depends on the influencers you follow and i think that might be more of an unconscious influence than people can admit. Certainly the original pocket almost had (dare i say it ) a cult like following. I jumped ship from a canon (which i never took a video with ) with no preconceptions other than i liked the early vids from bm and others who had early cameras, also the price was fairly affordable for me, i ended up preordering the pk4 and have been pretty happy with it. Technically 4k is overrated in this country, only three commercial stations have hd everything else is 575i or whatever it is. The tv stations could use a kick up the ass for dragging their feet as lots of people bought hd or 4k tv's that cant really be appreciated for what they were purchased for. Aside from those few percent of users that have hd/4k cinema cameras. But maybe thats just me. edit : i should add that there are probably plenty of good cinema camera choices out there, whatever a person ends up with. It shouldn't really be about the camera rather the result. My results are still pretty ordinary 😁 Do realize there are some shallow people about sadly
  12. Personally i'm not a fan of the current president. I didn't vote for for him, so i leave it in the hands the americans for them to sort out I dont know how you could get it over any quicker with out actively spreading it, which would make someone or someones, mass murderers if it did go pear shaped. Thats not something i would want hanging on my shoulders. Nobody is really ready for anything like this and we are all hoping that it doesn't turn out as bad as it could be. Countries are already battling various things nobody is putting stuff aside for pandemics. WE were heading towards a surplus but i suspect corona virus has put a dent in that idea. Its kinda ironic that a few microbes can pretty much bring a world to its knees.
  13. i think in one aspect you guys in the northern hemisphere are lucky as you guys are moving into spring. Down here we are heading into autumn / winter. Winter and the the corona virus + your normal cold / flue could be a rather bad mix. Sixty minutes were saying we have about 2000 emergency beds last night, easy to see those beds getting overwhelmed unless they slow the spread of it, which is what this whole lock down thing is about. Now i have nothing against the aussie hospital system, in fact i'd say we have it pretty good all things considered. However if things do go pear shaped it easy to see hospitals running out of ventilators, medicines , beds pretty easily. Since every country is probably at the same level, supplies are most likely going to get a bit thin to share around. Personally i wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be a bit of a storm in a tea cup. Maybe a few thousand more people die than a typical year. Sad i know but people are always dying. What scares me is we get a bit blase about it all and something really nasty smashes us in a couple of years time. I already have compromised lungs from a bug called sarcoidosis so if i catch corona virus, it will probably be, all over red rover 🙄 I plan on starting to wear a mask if i have to go into town just to be on the safe side. I used to have a giggle about all the asian backpackers wearing masks even before this outbreak, er... i'm not giggling anymore.
  14. I'LL be needing a lab coat, a uv light and a reversing ring. I then plan on doing do some of my own hd macro and get some back while i torture all those nasty microbes to death 😁 all to the theme of gangstas paradise

My apologies. You have fair skin indeed then. I'm about nine hundred meters above sea level, its supprizing how easy it is to get sunburnt out here. See it all the time with working backpackers going for their visa extensions working in the fields.

you almost match 2 rows down 3rd from the left i wasn't sure if that was your grading attempt or not 😉 Fair skin like yours. You should start wearing a hat. got to look after your self mate.
  18. i'm a bit offended you do know that australia is a continent right ? 😉 leaving a whole continent out of it is a bit rude.
  19. so thats where all the toilet paper went 😲 i'm 266 kilometers from a capital city, even out here we have had panic buying tom hanks and his wife is apparently up at the gold coast uni hospital with coronavirus. So potentially anyone is likely to catch it.

    Scanning film

that would be the ceo, you report back too 😁 anyone one done anything with either 8mm film or 16mm. One of the guys at the mens shed has a lot of his own stuff from yesteryear and mentioned that he'd like to get it converted to digital. I dont have an issue with a roll of 35mm but hundreds of feet or more is a bit daunting.

    bmp4k adventures

Bought two cheap led lights of Amazon a moth or so ago. Don't normally buy of amazon, had to open an account normally i get most of my stuff of ebay. However i found a review of some cheap led lights from dslr video shooter. but couldn't find them on ebay. I'm impressed they don't flicker. Been waiting for some other parts to arrive and now they have. Dust has been a bit of a problem this or last year, more to the point. So i have been thinking of how to keep them clean as i'm not big on dusting i plan on using them for accent lights. I also bought some cheap bike clamp light holders they seem to open wide enough to grip a 45mm table edge ok. Since i love the orange teal look, i bought a bunch of gel filter material and a meter long length of perspex pipe i cut the pipe into three sections long enough to cover the led lights and cut some orange and blue gel filter material to slide inside the perspex. The filter material is one and a half times the diameter of the tube. I can either use them at normal strength or turn the light 180 degrees and get a double strength filter. I plan on getting a mate to turn up some caps for the top and bottom shortly just need to measure the barrel of the charging lead hopefully its smaller than the larger of the tripod threads. I just eyeballed the bottom of the p4k rig it has provision for both thread sizes and the lead with the round charging port will fit inside the larger thread quite comfortably i think. At some point bike mount clamps may not be suitable all the time, I sort of figure i'll get some stands, with the thread on the bottom it should be easy to mount them on stands in the future.
  22. sorry dudes and dudettes, your too late, p4k is already here 😘
  23. how does that bucket not fog up ? just the thought of it makes me hyperventilate 😲
  24. one edward scissorhands reboot coming up😁 do a parody. Have the barber talk about the intricacies and styling of cutting someones hair, while he absolutely mauls a rose bush with a set of choppers or hedge trimmer perhaps 😉
  25. i was pretty sure they were, just seeing if you would bite thats a lot of fish no doubt. Your not buying all the toilet paper as well are you ? people have been going stupid over toilet paper. That was the main story on the news last night, seems their somehow connecting corona virus with a gasto bug 🙄 Meats not really an issue, picking up 3 sheep that have been hanging in the butchers cold room for a week, tomorrow afternoon. But with the drought haven't tried growing so much as a been this year.
