The battery life isn’t the best, but you can get 400 shots per a battery and with the battery grip or a portable is usb-c battery, i can film a 10 hour wedding without issue.

I think this is the first time anyone has said the Fuji IQ is laughable, especially when it comes to color science. Maybe you need to tweak your settings or picture profile?
i stopped using my 1DX II because of the XT3s photo and video quality.

FF Equals a larger camera and lenses. Defeats the purpose on the X line. They should keep it the way it is and own the Medium format and APSC market specs And color wise.

1 - He works very had. The amount of stuff he is uploading and reviewing is insane.
2 - He is very good at time management. He is very effective at using any extra time he has to shoot his YT material. 5 minutes here 5 minutes there.
3 - He has external professional gigs and seems very professional.
4 - He has charisma for YT and knows how to play the YT game well. His followers are skyrocketing in the last few mounts.

He works very hard, he has talent that translates well to YT followers and he just seems like a  very nice likable guy.

Good for him! I wish I could be as good and as productive as he is.

It definitely does for docu and run and gun shooters. Dual pixel becomes invaluable once you’ve tried it. Contrast AF isn’t reliable and too slow to be useable.

Both cameras are built for different uses and shouldn’t be compared with each other.

Just won an Oscar but nobody uses it for video?

    From freesolo director:
"What cameras and lenses did the high-angle team have in hand?
On the walls we were shooting with the Canon C300s [Mark II]. Since I was directing and shooting, and also shooting a NatGeo story on top of it, I was filming with the Canon 1DX Mark II so I could film but also shoot stills. But everybody else was on the C300s. When we were up on the wall, we were using EF lenses, but when we shot vérité we often had the Canon Cinema Primes. The long shots from the ground up the wall were through the Canon 50–1000mm Cine-Servos. As you can imagine, that was a very critical lens throughout this film. Canon went above and beyond in their support of this film. We were very lucky indeed."

They used 1Dx II also as remote triggered video camera, on the BTS you can spot them multiple time. They had custom made long range camera triggers build around Arduino and long range radio

Again tons of pro photographer for Action and Sports do shoot video and many do with the same DSLR that we use for photo. It is not for you but the pro action and sport market is much bigger than the hobbits or limited budget video market and yes we shot video too

There is about 2/3 - 1 stop improvement in dynamic range with HLG over Flog.
I am unable to tell if there is a difference in highlight rolloff.
Difference in noise?  I usually shoot at isos above base.  So I am unable to comment if there is a difference in noise.
One other thing about shooting HLG on the X-T3.  I am less prone to getting some unusual magenta casts in highlights with HLG.  The disadvantage of HLG is that you must record H265 and one has to transcode the footage to improve editability.

Because Canon continues to hoard their 4K non-crop and DPAF features for their cinema line at a time in which most other brands are offering it in all of their cameras.
That 1.8x crop is a killer when you factor in that you have to change lenses to go between 1080p and 4K to get the same FOV.
If the 5D3, 5D4 or 6DII had proper 4K, most previous Canon owners would have never jumped ship.

A bit of an unnecessary poke at Mattias for sure, who is after all completely RIGHT about Canon's colour science, completely right that it's all about the image.
Take colour, feel and the image composition away and add specs... and what do you have. Yes that's right... Shit all.

Shoot in 30p, but then conform it into 24p.  The subtle slow-mo of the image will make it look more cinematic.  Canon is just trying to help you become better filmmakers.

Everybody stop, we have been wrong all along for 10 years since the 5D Mark II came out with that silly 24p firmware patch, why they bothered with that and didn't just stick to 30p I don't know.
All that stutter and judder from the cinema frame rate, damn my computer screen for not being a flickering 24hz scan rate, it's all the fault of those damned LCD panels!!
Yes I wondered why the Arri Alexa looks so shit on my LG OLED.
    Bloody 24fps strikes again.
    Tut tut tut.
*Checks notes* Canon are completely right to remove 24p and it has *checks notes* nothing to do with protecting the higher-end cameras.
Better warn all those C200 users shooting their silly mismatched 24p for Netflix.
They should all be shooting at 60p to avoid judder, and recommending people turn their TVs to Motion Smoothing mode, especially for those fancy daytime soap operas we used to call "films" like Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk.
    Quick somebody tell Scorsese!
Why won't he get the 30p 60p memo??? Doesn't he know his scan lines are juddering and stuttering?
And damn that bloody Spielberg still living in 1984.
An affliction you mean? Yes, the look of cinema is the scourge of filmmakers everywhere.
They should really go to a doctor for that 24p disease.
I don't know how much you guys in these PR offices get paid by companies like Canon but I am fascinated by the work and script writing you put in.
Should do a documentary about it...
    Shot in 30p of course.

The reality is, good hybrid cameras is what consumers are looking for now and for the foreseeable future.
Although everyone doesn’t need proper 4K, that plus video autofocus are features that sells cameras and Canon does not have a DSLR(besides 1Dx II), EOS-M, EOS-R or P&S  with proper 4K and DPAF.
If Canon would’ve ridden the wave from the market that they accidentally created with the 5DII, they probably would’ve monopolized the prosumer and consumer camera market. Just image a competitively spec’d C100, 5DIII, 7DII and/or EOS-M with DPAF and 4K. The A7 series, Fuji X series and the GH series would’ve had a very hard time poaching Canon users and new to market customers. Although Nikon was late to the game, at least they’re making a valiant effort.
My 1DX II has been sitting on the sidelines ever since I got the X-T3 and now I have my eye on the GFX series.

If Canon would Just have FF 4K in the EOS-R, and DPAF in the M50 in 4K they would take back tons of shooters. Heck I would buy a M50 tomorrow if they did. I am in the market sad to say. It isn't rocket science. Well maybe to Canon it is. ☹️

Well if this camera is going to be an option for major productions perhaps a flip screen and PDAF are not needed. After-all, if one is spending several million dollars on a production it's a given that they would have external wireless monitors and dedicated focus pullers. But for a small operation / one man band, well, a flip screen and PDAF could go a long way to make life easier. Perhaps I misunderstood who this camera is targeting? I'll let Michael Bay know at once.

I very rarely use AF for video. Today I had a 5h run n gun with interviews etc. Didn't use it once. But every now and then it makes sense to use and then it is just lovely.
It's also great for macro focus pulls in product videos.
