He has a beef with them. Dont worry about it. Just use your camera. If you like it that's all that matters.

i will keep my a7 iii.... until they make a clever codec for RAW, like BM.
I dont want to spent a fortune for 8k raw on CF xpress cards.

Kacey's tests are RIDICULOUS. Who in their right mind uses a camera like that?
Plus, Gerald and Kacey were shooting on a preproduction model with lenses that probably needed firmware. I think the results of the cameras sent to various reviewers varied--which makes sense. One reviewer hooked up a GH5 and the X-T4 and did a side to side walking test---and the X-T4 acquitted itself extremely well. IMO, the X-T4 did not get a fair review with Gerald and Kacey.
Better to see Jem Scholfield-- or Gordon Lang. Really good jobs, both of them.

    What?
No way, I'll take my GH5 for video over this everytime.  I use anamorphic and 6k all the time.
I don't see how this is an upgrade from my GH5.
Though, I do have an X-T2 for stills, now maybe for that...

Is the X-T4 the basically an GH5 with larger sensor, but 3 years later?
I was expecting a bit more, and the Vlogging screen dumbs down what was quite a pro photographic feeling camera line.
The X-H2 is the one I will be getting, if it ever arrives.
It's a design that much less hipster, far more practical.
1080/240p is a first and great to have, so well done Fuji there.
It lacks the 6K headline feature that nobody actually needs! Bad marketing, but who cares.
Autofocus seems to be steadily improving, but it'll vary depending on the lens. The fast Fuji X-mount primes are not made for fast phase-detect AF.
I feel that Fuji long term is onto a winner with GFX 100 video specs in a $2500 medium format sensor size cam, which will get enthusiasts excited while the mainstream goes for X-T series.
It's a decent update, that's for sure, but price is creeping up to full frame land now and times are a-changin!
I see a far stronger long-term future for the GFX range than I do the X-T.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing - some weird wobbles  and shudders in the corners.  In comparison the latest Olympus with IBIS and sync-IS lenses + Electronic Image Stabilisation (slight crop) is almost as good as a handheld gimbal.

I find the overall specs pretty impressive, especially for an action/sports DSLR.
But it's clear that at this price point & form factor, 95% of the people on this forum are outside the target audience.
If/When these specs trickle down to the Pro EOS R model with RF mount & IBIS, is when people here might take notice..
Btw... the only other hybrid cams that can do internal RAW are the BMPCC 4K/6K, both of which are crop sensors that can barely do stills and have zero AF & the Sigma FP, also a lousy stills shooter with no EVF and an AF so poor it makes Panasonic's DFD AF seem stellar.
Again no AF during RAW shooting seems a reasonable compromise imo (most pros shooting 5.4K RAW will be using manual cine lenses anyways).

Id rather wait another 6 months for the a7siii and it be really solid with great IQ and features than get it tomorrow and be a lackluster/lateral upgrade like the majority of the Canon stuff for the last + decade.

I will never understand the complaints about Sony menus and UI.
Sure they are big but then there is LOT in it on a camera like an A7s.
I have cameras (some P&S and some ILCs) from Sony (2), Canon (3), Fuji (1), and Panasonic (2) and have had lots from Pentax, Nikon and Olympus and more and I do not find Sony all that different to any of the others.

This topic is sad because it pits forum users against each other over something as facile as politics. This should be a place where people come together over their shared love of cameras and be supportive of each other. This does the opposite. Good job sowing discord.
Those sane few who are left can't escape this nonsense. Everything has to be about politics because people don't have enough imagination to think about anything else.
Let's go back to talking about cameras and forget about this.
I can understand this coming from the Sony shooters but the rest of us should be better than this ????

To each its own. I feel exactly that about all those complicated menus. A pain in the ass. That simply cuts off all my pleasure to shoot with.
Blackmagic has brought me the feeling of a real film camera back. I love their approach to put the shooter in the focus of their camera design, not just another user in the digital age or ENG field. They have made digital cinema cameras instead. I come back from 35mm and 16mm realm. This really counts to me : ) IQ wise I practically am able to reproduce anything I want. Secondary today IMO : -)

Your positives about the S1H are everything I would want in a camera. Your negatives, which I have yet to encounter, should be fixed in a firmware update as they seem to be directly tied to VLOG, which is a positive since its something that could be fixed, similar to the GH5. With that said, you have brought up a valid concern - but  you have brought it up over and over and over, to the point where we get it, but we are not Panasonic - you should be voicing this to them at this point in order to actually get it fixed. If you have already and they are aware, then you should give them time to fix it. There has yet to be a first real firmware out yet to even see if its addressed. To be clear, I have no issues at all with you voicing concerns that need to be fixed, nothing will get fixed if we are all silent. But you made your point and now you are just stating the same thing over and over again, in this forum, on facebook, on review sites, etc. I am not sure what you want out of it. Are you hoping Panasonic read and fix it? If so, why not just contact them?
Lastly, I disagree with your notion of the pocket 6k or any of these mirrorless cameras, including the S1H, having an "organic" image. An organic image to me, would be an original Blackmagic pocket, Blackmagic micro, Blackmagic cinema 2.5. Those actually used a Fairchild sensor and had a nice organic look to it. You didn't need to add grain to those those cameras to make them look organic, it was organic out the box.

This whole discussion is absurd. Why do we need Netflix to determine the value of a camera based on some unknown and abstruse criteria. The whole thing is speculation. Make up your OWN MIND by looking and testing the images. 10 bit is still 10 bit though.  The traditional Japanese companies won't give you internal raw, and that's why most people will pick the blackmagic at half the price. If you pick a camera based on what Netflix says, you are in a dream land, and to suggest it is some arbiter of quality is even more fanciful - cause no one here can say what the criteria is. Not to mention that some of the best cameras ever made aren't on the list.

Bias can also be by the weight you give the pros and cons of the competing systems. I think it is tough to say for sure how you will feel about it without using it. Yes there are draw backs but nothing comes close to giving internal raw at FF 4k60p with amazing autofocus, pro stills capabilities and pro level ruggedness, to the point where, ye, you can take it to the mountains and film a doco without having to worry about the weather and dust or it malfunctioning. Look how much Sony want to charge you for the Fx9 and still no internal raw and that thing is huge. Gotta give props where it is due.
