Does anyone know why this is happening? I have tried:

    - deleting and undeleting the clips from my timeline

    - copying and pasting onto new sequence

    - copying and pasting onto new project

    - renaming my premiere pro file

    - saving premiere pro to a different location (desktop) with different name then exporting to a different location,

    - change the renderer in AME from GPU Acceleration to Software Only

    - exporting directly from premiere pro instead of AME

All the above methods did not work, the only solution I have found was exporting in a different format then converting it to mp4 however I was wondering if there was another way around this. I also noticed that whenever I try to export the "Around timecode" and "Rendering at offset" in the error message would be different but the "Error code" would always be -1609629695

I had this issue as well, copied all my luts to AME's Lumetri/Creative folder, and it solved the problem.

  2. Shot this last weekend. Mostly in to 150 fps. Some shots were overexposed, but you get the idea, it was very sunny and hot.

Used a DEC lens regain, Sigma 18-35 and Canon 85mm, shot mostly handheld with stabiliser on. Two shots are twixtored.

Straight from the camera the Rec709 is awesome, period. I added an osiris lut to pop some colors.

    Which card is this?

I current use a Lexar 2000X in my GH4, and have a GH5 on it's way to me, so, I need a new card, or so I've read...

Hey. I use Kingstone 256GB U3 cards (R90/W80), they work perfectly fine. Except that one time when my card died on the shooting day and lost all of my footages...

Has anyone had their GH5 shut off 30 min into recording? I was recording HD on a Sandisk Extreme 95 so I'm sure it wasn't a card error. I had it set up to record some BTS and when I checked on it 45 min later it has powered down. I turned it back on and the battery was still 3/4 full. I checked the file and it had recorded 31 minutes.

Yep and works like a charm. I am constantly recording 95 minute interviews to 256gb cards.

My third lens is the Kowa anamorphiC 35 - 1.5x. The other two (Bolex 16/32/1.5 and Iscorama pre 36) I sold already. These three lenses belong to the top of anamorphics at 1.5x. They are different from each other but I like the sharpness and clearness of the Kowa. Perhaps this thread will give others to share ideas and footage. Here my first test, paired with the Voigtländer Ultron 40mm and Samsung NX1. Enjoy!

Kowa 1.5x is a dream lens. How do you find it against the Bolex?

I have a speed booster adapter for my GH5 so I can mount Canon FD lenses. But the fit is loose--for both the camera and the FD lenses. My standard non-speed booster mount works really well--nice fit and solid.

I know there are a lot of speed booster mounts for this combination--lots of knock-off products, so it's very confusing. Does anyone know of a good brand that produces an FD to MFT speed booster mount? I don't mind paying for it if it works well. There are some instances when those FD lenses are invaluable in my shooting.

Even the Metabones has a play in it. Jordy from Cinecom (YT channel) claimed that few weeks ago, and duct taped the mount as a fix.

From personal experience I can recon Zhongyi - Mitakon Lens Turbo's, the IQ is great and comes in affordable price. However, mine had a really small play in it. It was a problem only when I was shooting anamorphic, otherwise, I loved it.

  7. @HelsinkiZim I shot some 96fps with my gh4 and then twixtored it, it was absolutely usable, so I bet that you can do some great stuff with the 180fps.

I shot some chicken last week, here's the footage. Probably not the best for twixtoring (the fence will cause some issues), but at least you'll get the idea how it looks.

I shot in to Vlog, so not the greatest quality, artifacts, noise, etc.

Except when there's no other way than autofocus on a piad gig. Other than that, agreed :)

You have no AF in slow mo mode, and I suppose you'll need slow mo on a paid gig.

So what is this still ongoing AF discussion about?

Most of the people complaining about AF never even truly used AF before. They just want the canon dual pixel and the A6500 AF technology in the GH5. It was written down thousand times in this forum, pick the right camera for the right job ;)

  9. Backlight separates your subject from the background, makes it pop out, and the image won't look so flat. You can than mess with color temperatures, like lit your subject with warm (3500K) light, than give him a cool (6000K) backlight (on the hair for example).

Les Claypool is out of this planet, absolutely favourite, thanks for sharing!

I know it's been posted elsewhere already but this one stands out ! I know the alexa compareason is stupid. The GH5 is - at least - 3 stops short on DR, doesn't have 4:4:4, raw, Arri color science, you name it. But still.

Motion cadence, tonality... And it probably wasn't shot with the latest 4:3 10 bits firmware. With proper glass and a competent operator the GH5 just shines. I could mix that kind of footage easily with an alexa and people would hardly notice the difference, even after being told.

This footage got plenty of light. That is the key to cinematic image. I love the sharpness of the kowa on this video. Also, the colour wheels are tweaked in a very good way :)

    Thanks :)

The shots in the ghost town at night were a bummer because I forgot the softboxes so they were really harsh.  The wind was going crazy and we had a limited time frame...it was a frustrating night in a lot of way, ha!

We used the Aputure 120d to light everything.  The interiors had an Aputure 120d against a bounce and then another 120d outside the window and turned down quite a ways. A 120d lit stuff in the forest shots from a 24 foot Manfrotto light stand.  Then I ran around on the ground with a handheld Lume Cube :)

We used the SLR Magic 2x Anamorphic primes for MFT (the set, which is 35, 50, and 70mm)

For some reason I thought you used the Anamorphot, not the primes. Anyways, I think I am not the only on who would love to hear more about those lenses.

How do you find gh5's anamorphic mode after shooting on pro cameras (like red, etc.)?

  12. Wow, even if this is 8bit I LOVE the look and the feel! Also the blockbuster lut and the distortion on the corners!

Some of the night shots are too exposed for my taste, but I can imagine the pain in the ass while filming it.

What lenses have you used, also how did you light the interior shots?

    Cheers!
