great to hear!...can you show me some example videos?

Most of the representative stuff is still in post production but here are few examples:

Sorry, the DR of the A7s ii is greater than that of the GH5. The A7s ii 120p crop gives you the same fov as the GH5, so that can't make it inferior to it! And the crop means no aliasing aftifacts. Vlog colors are awful. Sony colors have a lot of variants, but perhaps you couldn't figure out the menus to find the set you would like :).

You're right with the DR, A7SII definitely got the edge! But the 2x crop is bullshit with the slowmo. If you use a speedbooster with the GH5 you get a 1.5x crop with 180fps. Also strongly disagree with your statement on the color. If you badly expose LOG no matter what brand you use, it'll be crap.

Unfortunately yes. The GH2 with a 14-140 was acting well, but the 5DII with the Tamron 24-70 2.8 was bending just a little bit. Don't use heavy setups with it. I still love it for light setups, hard to beat it.

Hard to keep the setup light with the 18-35 :D

Anyway, cheers from SVK as well :)

Would that give enough of an effect, though?

If you want something easy to pack I'd consider something like this:

Rat rig looks awesome, however I can see it bends with heavier setups. Does anyone have experience with it?

    Hey guys,

I haven't been really following this forum so thought I'd check back in with the GH5 owners.  It's almost 6 months since the release.  For those who bought the GH5, how are you liking it now?
Did you buy it and sell it later?  Did you keep it and learn to live with its limitations?

I got mine in march. I owned a GH4 before, so I wasn't new to pana stuff, still after the shitstorm on the forums I was pretty unconfident with my new camera and it's capabilies and was thinking about about switching to A6500. After 5 months of use, I am pretty confident not to switch.

The DR is not really improoved, but still you get a solid slow mo (with a cheap mitakon speedbooster you only have 1.5x crop, while the A7SII crops even more in 120fps mode), the battery is awesome, the ergonomics feels okay, and you get a 4:3 full sensor readout. IMO this is really a big deal, i found myself using this even without anamorphic lenses, I can reframe any shot. 4K 60fps is awesome, but the 10bit codec sucks. IBIS saves my powers, no need for tripods or shoulder rigs while running around on the field. The Like709 will become your favourite, i swear this is the best picture profile i ever used (not counting the logs).

If you watch any review on the YT, they will tell you exactly the same. So if you don't need propper AF (like the A6500 have), get a gh5, get a cheap speedbooster, get some vintage lenses and unleash your creativity.

@funkyou86 I use the Rectilux HCDNA, can not recommend it enough! It has lived on my Bolex since day 1 and will probably never come of. Real good engineering, feels like and behaves like a tank - not a fragile peace of glass :)

Sorry if it's an inappropriate question, but how much does your rig worth now with th HCDNA?

I had a Moller 19/1.5x in the past, which was a focus-trough. The image and the flares were similar to 16/32/1.5x but the lens was much smaller and was not the best with focusing to infinity. That lens trends for around 700 to 900 eur, depending on the condition.

I really adore the look and feel of the 1.5x lenses so I'm thinking about reinvesting some dosh to it :D Does the 32/16/1.5x perform according to his price?

I never used a speedbooster, So as i can find online, if i understand correctly, If a lens intended for 35mm film or similarly-sized "full frame" camera sensors is connected to a camera with a Micro Four Thirds-sized sensor, it would project an image larger than the Micro Four Thirds sensor was built to accept.

My vacation is just the first step, then this camera will be used for work !

This video has all the answers for you :) + bonus video about sensor sizes.

Adobe Audition is the obvious solution if you have Premier pro as you can work via dynamic link. If you are not signed up the Adobe suite licence then there are quite a few good standalone options which others will no doubt chip in with. I've not got any reason to use anything other than Audition though.

After several years of working with Logic and other DAWs I found Audition not so user friendly (but this is only my personal opinion, audition is a great piece of SW) , so I compose the sounds in premiere, export the OMF, import the OMF in to DAW and mix it there.

Has the jittery motion on viewfinder been discussed here? The motion i am seeing when recording at 25/30 fps (on viewfinder only) is a total mess. On the monitor the motion seems ok. Some users are saying that the final output when recording at 25/30 fps is jittery with the slightest movement of the camera but i can't test it right now cause i am away from my pc.

Haven't had this experience so far. Was the shutter speed okay?

Here is a music video that I shot last month using the GH5 with 35mm and 50mm SLR Magic anamorphic primes. VLog L. 4K 8 bit. IBIS was a nice feature to go w/ the lenses whenever I needed handheld. I'm praying for in-camera anamorphic desqueeze from Panasonic this year!

Job well done, make me wanna try these anamorphots :) Love the brick wall look!

Not to my knowledge, and I tried exporting with "Global fx mute" which is supposed to mute all effects including lumetri and I still got the problem.

If you export the sequence from premiere, does it behave the same? The only thing which comes in my mind is to clear all cache, restart computer and try again.
