Works great with the C300ii and a 70-200 as well. 
You could say it performs as if it is parfocal, but there are situations where it won’t work 

I never had any problem of rolling shuter with the C300 II even handheld with quite fast movements.
PS: I have never  used C200 so I can't talk about this camera.

A F3 shot right has a beautiful output for sure. And now they are going for peanuts.

I constantly get tempted to buy a second F3.... and then I need to talk myself out of it.

Just an FYI, the color you get from setting the camera to video out / s-log PP is much more accurate colorwise than locking the camera to S-Log out with no profile. 
The difference is very obvious in the greens. It is a lot closer to the FS7 in a bad way. A member on DVX User tipped me off to this. Clearly this is a flaw because the two profiles shouldn't be different. 
I agree, the menu situation is very annoying on the f3. 
I have owned the F3/Black Magic Recorder for a while now and have been extremely satisfied with the images.

Amazing camera, I’ve owned two of them and a Micro. Get yourself an IR Cut Filter and always shoot at 800 ISO. But he warned... once you start shooting Raw, it will be difficult to go back to compressed codecs. And if you really like the Pocket, wait until you try FF Raw with the 5D3.

Canon’s IS Lenses are pretty damn good handheld... the 35mm f/2 hasn’t failed me yet. 

More importantly, you’re completely screwed on location if you don’t charge the only battery available. Do they have an auto shutoff like the updated rode vmp did? 5 hours is also super limiting if you have a full day of shooting...

People can LOL all they want but I think it really takes shooting & working with the EOS R footage to appreciate it.. or not. But until then, a spec sheet isn't going to give you the full picture. And again as part of an ecosystem it makes total sense.
We shoot Sony at work and personally, I'm not at all a fan of matching my Canon gear with the A7III etc.. I'd rather rent an FS5/7. And even then its a bit annoying because Sony keep changing their colour science. Canon has done so too but at least gives you the option on EOS R to choose in between original C100/C300 log & the newer C200/C300II log colour matrix. Its little details like that which make life easier. I hate losing time in post with that type of stuff..

I don't know about the title of this thread anymore though man. The A7SII is 4k with IBIS, it was like the two big features of the camera coming from the original A7S that only had 1080p and no IBIS. 
I agree with the idea of this thread though I'd be more impressed if it was shot on a GH2 or something. 

Why? Don't humans still use eyeballs? If it produced great images at launch why shouldn't those images look great today? I can tell you now, when the MK3 comes out I'm getting one.
