    Take the GH5s off of the ronin?

    Edit: And buy a native OIS lens if you don’t think it’s “stabilized” enough.

    Edit2: I don’t want to sound like a jerk so sorry for my edits, but my original thought was more in terms of like, why spend all this money of a new camera+setup when you have something that you like and actually works for you. I shot a mini doc, run and gun with bmpcc4K and it looks great, so I can’t imagine you would do worse with a GH5s with IBS and OIS lenses.

    Turboguard got a reaction from kaylee in Source Scaling in DaVinci?
    In premiere in the export window you can choose to scale your source material to fill the screen. I have a time line with over 200 clips shot 4K DCI in DaVinci now and can't find an option to scale it to fill a 1080p output. Just wondering if I have to go manually and scale each clip by itself in the edit page or not...

    EDIT: Figured it out. You can just CMD+A the timeline in edit page and then adjust the scale and it will adjust all of the clips marked.

    Out of the box, FC is on F1, LUT on F2 and Guides on F3. You can toogle them on and off as much as you want during and off recording.

    I don’t know if I’m understanding you correct but you want to add the effect to everything in say V1? If so, just add an adjustment layer in V2 and make it as long as your in to out. Then just add the effect to that adjustment layer, everything below the adjustment layer with take its effects.

    Stills are still DNG, just tried it out. Attached it below!
    And for those interested and don't wanna calculate;
    With my T5 1TB I get 153min on both CB 3:1 and CQ0. (4K DCI, 24fps).
    CB 5:1 gives me 256min and Q5 is a whopping 611min.

    Also, this made me giggle;

    This is 1080p 24fps BRAW Q5 (Prores Proxy is almost 4000min lol)

    You can downgrade if you want to keep CDNG. Also it’s not BMD’s fault. Enjoy!

    Also Deezid, below is not aimed towards you, the forum merged my two comments.

    I bet everything I own on that the first few months now we will hear how bad BRAW is from people who can’t handle a camera and shoots waves in slow motion as their “profession” on YT. Same with P4K, remember just a few months ago how tons of people completely bashed it and now people call it a marvel. Lol, I should prob get off the forums until summer is here when people are hopefully happier

    Because a lot of people still don’t know how to color video correctly. They slap on some adjustments to one frame of the shot and then move on to the next. I see it all the time. Working with the stills is easier as you only have that one frame and then, working with say ACR, makes it, again, so much easier.

    I forgot to order the Tilta T5 holder but my 8sinn works just as good for now.

    I would probably buy the SSD holder if I came across it readily in stock. I don’t mind the 8sinn for now, I’ve never in my life accidentally pulled the cord out while shooting, and am confident that I won’t at the moment.
    The hdmi adapter is great, I do wish there was one for the mini xlr as well but don’t know how that would work.
    And YES! Haha, I do not like those vapes.

    Play around with the dynamics processing first before adding reverb, some eq after that. And then don’t make the reverb too wet!

    Looks like Blackmagic Raw isn't to far away! Someone from the Blackmagic forum went to a Blackmagic camera masterclass and noticed the P4K was running firmware with Blackmagic Raw installed.

    Well, the gimbal's job is to keep the camera level, so it's using the motors to do that. If you balance the camera perfectly, the motors aren't working so hard to keep it balanced, and instead can use their full strength to stabilise your movements.
    If you start off with a wildly unbalanced camera, the motors will be working overtime, which could have a negative effect on your movements, and it won't stabilise quite so efficiently. That could also result in faster battery drain, or possibly even burn out the motors quicker.
    I'd suggest balancing it as closely to it's centre as your patience allows and then letting the motors kick in to pick up the slack.
    Also, make sure to balance with the lens cap off. It seems simple, but it's very easy to forget.

    Turboguard got a reaction from Kisaha in Quick AUDIO fix question (post production)
    I missed that some people actually wanted to see what I was up to with this thread. So I’ll try to make this quick, cause it might not be super interesting.
    I shot a 2.5h long performance of Cabaret on Jan 30th. I didn’t know I had to do audio but see my set up below for scratch audio. Anyway, their own audio station broke down and they didn’t record sound for me. On top of that through out the whole performance 70% of the cast’s lavs wouldn’t work. (It was a small intimate place so for being there watching it, I don’t think anyone really cared). Anyway, because of this, I tried my best to watch audio meters on the P4K jumping between 80-100% through out the show.

    So bla bla, next day, because their own audio was non-exsistent I had to use my own for the final delivery, and in my DAW the wave form was all over the place obviously. So my question for this thread was

    “Is there an easy way to make the lows and highs just normalize towards say -12dB?”

    I know “normalize” might not be the correct term here.

    Anyway, I ended up just going through the whole file manually adjusting volume. Then cleaning it up and mastering it. It took a few hours but yeah, it’s done now.
