Looks like the Studio camera HD is using the pocket camera sensor both are 12.48x 7.02mm They seem to be using a New sensor for the Studio camera 4K 13.056x7.344mm Production camera 4K is 21.12mmx11.88mm Cinema camera 13 stops DR is 15.8mmx8.81mm In some ways these cameras are the Mk II version of the first generation better audio ,larger batteries more user friendly.I wouldn't be surprised if new form factor versions of their first three cameras aren't far away. Perhaps a 10" screen that can be put where ever you like and plugged in to the camera. Some of the rigs for Black magic cameras look like sprawling Meccano constructions anyway.

Footage does look rather promising Musty.Looks like the color saturation has been bumped up . Taxis through the tunnel are hooting.Rather puzzled what the three characters under the "Sex shop " sign at 4.00 mean.The right one looks like a wheel chair being rocket launched.

The World According to Garp. I remember this as being a strange and wacky film but quite enjoyable all the same. Garp's Grandfather would not allow the use of the word "Sperm" in their home ! Matt-I've looked for it on DVD a few times over the years, but you can't get it on Region 2 afaik. Here in Ausi our Blu-Ray player is a Sony BDP-S370 it plays DVDs from any region,I feel your pain as many DVDs are only available as region 1 USA/Canada.

I like the way the dust contributes to the mood of the clip. Is this likely to be manual focus ??? there are several parts were it drifts in and out of focus.

Brandon Li used it for the last several months to shoot interviews for the Yahoo! original web series “The Girl’s Gameâ€. He has also been testing it a bit for run-and-gun documentary-style shooting. Even Kubrick used slow zooms ,I remember "Barry Lyndon" has quite a few.The Pistol dual scene has one.

Appleidiot the D5300 has a larger and higher quality screen than the 5200 ,here is Andrew's comments from 19 November 2013 - 02:20 AM "Just tried one, first impressions... Screen is very nice. Biggest on any camera and very good quality. There's a new manual focus assist - ultra detailed but slow frame rate." The D7100 is likely to be replaced by a new model with Expeed 4 so it's probably worth waiting to see what the new model is capable of shooting .

"They'll love your film if you get the sounds of the bike appear 'larger than life' in your film." I agree with Quirky 100 % here it really is worth putting in the extra effort to obtain high quality Motorcycle sounds even if it means spending an afternoon recording sound when there is minimal background noise,people talking ,wind etc. I video lots of air shows and deliberatly go on practice day because it's much easier to capture clean audio -no stupid public announcement system .Microphone about five metres behind exhuasts but out of the prop wash and a Spitfire starting up sounds pretty cool. "The World's Fastest Indian" has some pretty good motorcycle audio on it -even Bert cranking her up at 5 in the morning ,no muffler. VFX guys, how much of your present work is in 4K ?? I was also surprised that one member said VistaVision was used for VFX plates on Captain Phillips

Matt you asked "Why not make HD the best it can be before moving on to 4K?" There has to be higher quality video codecs for DSLRs in the pipeline ,I think it's just a matter of time which manufacturer is going to have HD 4.2.2 first for DSLRs ? 2014 is shaping up to be a very interesting year for new video cameras even with the push for 4K I bet there are more capable HD DSLRs on the way too.
