I have a project where I'm matching the pocket 4K to the Gemini and I created a LUT to match the look of RED's IPP2 color science. I understand that it's not for everyone (BM has more natural colors IMO) but it does have an instant cinematic quality. Download for free here if you're interested:

I loved the OG pocket. It had it’s own look. It was a pain in the ass to use for more than 20 min though, without rigging. The P4K is definitely a next gen in every way. Once they add B- Raw ???

Here is a 3:1 compressed cDNG file straight from the pocket 4k. I believe that you can only open it in Resolve.

I made that Gemini vs Pocket video. If you download the original ProRes file, zoom in around 300% and notice the edges of her hair/face is fringing significantly more on the Gemini. I'm extremely impressed with the Pocket 4K thus far.

This is true, unless you use an IR filter. The Rawlite OLPF has a built in IR cut that makes tungsten light look just as pleasing/accurate as daylight.

Sorry @jonpais I should've mentioned that it was posed to the OP.

Why not expose accurately? Use a LUT, waveform, and/or light meter.

Where do you guys watch uncompressed videos online?

BRaw is amazing but the feature that flew under the radar is Gen 4 color science w/ Extended Video preview. It’s pretty much just like the Alexa and Amira whereas you can view a “modest” REC 709 version. Less saturation and contrast than the original BM to Rec 709 LUT.

The SmallHD 702 OLED sucks hard in my opinion. Next the "bright" version it just looks awful.

I don’t know. Blackmagic always had the best beta crews with Captain Hook, John Brawley, Kholi, and (maybe) Olan Collardy. 

That's kind of a bummer but isn't the 1" sensor 4x bigger than the Mavic Pros? 1.3 crop isn't too bad.

If you can still return it, I would. I bought the Mavic Pro about 2 months ago. Still no complaints though.

I just installed a new Rawlite OLPF into my UMP, mainly for IR cut purposes, but also to take the edge off of sharpness. Take a look at the before/after below. Skintones are much improved under tungsten lighting.

I've used the Proaim one and it's nice. Not sure about longevity but the 2 days that I used it were trouble free.

@Oliver Daniel have you used an EasyRig? It makes holding cameras like the UMP, Amira, FS7 a breeze.
