  1. http://www.43rumors.com/panasonic-announces-the-worlds-first-organic-cmos-image-sensor-with-electrically-controllable-near-infrared-light-sensitivity/ Seems like it will be for surveillance and automotive industry first, not sure when will it implant to their camera
  2. The 2nd one shot with ISO6400 in the beginning, that much better than GH4!
  3. its easier with small size sensor than big ones, definitely want a phone with that capability
  4. Just get the A7SII, buy the camera you need not you want :p
  5. There is laowa 7.5mm F2 for MFT coming soon so should take care of UW lowlight scene.
  6. A Phantom 3 will do the jobs, they are quite cheap too and shoot 4k
  7. socializing and work hard, sometimes find the right mentor helps a lot too, I started of as wedding videographer working for another guy, years later he went to work at TV so I got brought in too..
  8. A7RII have PDAF and A7SII doesn't have it, A6500 have but not RX100 V, so yeah i doubt it, Sony have their own way of differentiate product line My A5100 have touch screen phase detection af and it has been out for how long now?
  9. dont think so, even FS7II doesn't have hybrid AF and that thing cost a lot more Maybe the A9 will have it all!
  10. I think u mean A7RIII lol A7S is CDAF only
  11. Lowlight is not much better on A6500, I got both G7 and A6300 and their lowlight is not bad but cant hold candle to A7RII or A7S/A7SII, FHD on A6300 is soft which is a problem when I paired with camera which are sharp (ie fs5/a7sii/c100 mkii etc) over the past years I got 2~3 cards fail (all using sandisk extreme card btw) so I definitely prefer dual cards for safety,
  12. True, but then again IS on the A7 seems weak to me, not sure about A6500 Olympus is definitely the most stable now that I got e-m5 ii to play with.
  13. It should be the same regardless, only 5 Axis with Sony lens, well that my experience with A7SII A7RII, less stable using adapted Canon lens than Sony native
  14. http://briansmith.com/sony-a7ii-hands-on-review/ No X/Y Compensation with 3rd party and selective A mount lens, leaving only 3 axis
  15. Sony only uses 3 Axis IS when using non natives, vs full 5 axis when using non native on M43 body. You can do walks with just handheld, ninja walk, trained arm and warp stabilizer works wonders, not as good as gimbal (especially for long distance) but close enough
  16. Pretty sure it will be called FS5 II and cost $5000+
  17. My friend is selling his XC10 right now and try to get A7SII instead, he used to have A7S but sold that to get XC10 because of the "image quality" touted by online forum and easier match to his C100, turns out quality is crap to his C100, he really dont want to deal with Sony colour I guess he have no choice lol
  18. Since they use same sensor tech, we can expect GH5 to be similar score, like GX8 got 75 and Pen-F got 74, they both use same sensor, I guess this 20MP is indeed different than the previous one
  19. Horses for courses For the stuff I do gh5 is more suited, live events (like conference) that goes for hours, music video with proper lighting (use 3x arri 650 usually), I don't really need low light much except for occasional astro photography My FS5's lowlight is not as good as my A7S/A7RII but it is my mostly used camera, ergonomic on that is much nicer. I will get 2x anamorphic adapter when I got my gh5, should be interesting to play with.
  20. is 180fps unlimited time like gh4?
  21. Whats wrong with A6500 for stills if you considering D5500, pretty sure their DR is similar?
  22. Yes it will have 5 axis even with old glass (unlike Sony u only get 3 axis with manual lens), just if u use compatible Panasonic lens it will get Dual IS 2 which is even more stable
  23. Still find hard to belive ISO12800 is usable on GH5

    GH5 Prototype

Panasonic haven't use MPJEG since GH3, I think they probably use AVC-Ultra for high bit rate? From Varicam :: AVC Intra 4K 422 25p 388 mbps
