  1. R8 will have advantage for low light vs R7 being an FF camera, I did shoot R8 under summer sun in 4K in a beach and it was fine (more than 2hrs) but it does have temperature guage at slightly more than half way. Interior is fine for R8 as long you got those fan add on, my R8 hasnt shut down on me for overheating yet. R7 on the other hand is a beast in terms of long form recording, I hardly see the temperature guage showing up unlike the R8 even in direct summer sun, paired with sigma 18-50mm 2.8 you have pretty killer combo (or 17-40 1.8 to give u the FF look)
  2. The new Canon RF 45mm 1.2 should fit ur taste.. similar rendering as the old EF 50mm 1.2 but much lighter and abit smaller.
  3. https://www.redsharknews.com/adobe-premiere-pro-25.5?hs_amp=true Finally, I was surprised with the massive man power at Adobe they couldn't make the transition themselves? With so many editing program offering transition build-in Premiere is really lacking until now. Also Canon Cinema RAW light is finally hardware accelerated.. was it on software all these time? Might makes me want try raw for some shoots, it was kinda meh experience back then.
  4. I feel like this is a supercharged version of Sigma Fp
  5. Na never, they are format standard competitors
  6. Nikon rumors have the image, that screen look quite big. Not sure if this one have fan cause I didn't see any air vent
  7. Recording 2 different ratio (1:1/16:9/9:16 etc) to 2 card... that is something new!
  8. I love how the rumor said dual cfexpress while leaked photo clearly show cfexpress and SD marking
  9. Time to revive that 18-135mm usm with power zoom add on. With that thickness and lots of vent this one wont be overheating at all, Lumix really need to take a cue on it
  10. I think it could be directing vs ZV-E1 with with that microsd, if was seriously it need to be cfexpress card.
  11. There is, car wobble, and thermal won't be as good as sensor sticking directly to thermal plate.
  12. I wonder will the optional EVF work on the R50V too?
  13. There is DJI mini 5 coming up with 1 inch sensor and lidar built in.. Or get used Phantom 4 pro if u like to fly the old way
  14. If new DJI camera can wireless link to their mics it insta buy from me, especially if it can link up to 4 of them haha. Hopefully it can shake up the camera industry long dominated by Japan... like how Samsung was back then.
  15. Man I might have to pause jumping all in on Lumix with this one, especially if there is also APSC version coming soon. C50 and maybe C30 (APSC version) will make my R5C and V1 more complete
  16. The signs of growing old 😂 Totally feel you on that! Back then I was rocking C70 with 18-35mm 1.8 on gimball all day. Now with S9 + 28-70+ RS3 mini it is lighter than C70 + 18-35 alone.
  17. Speaking of colour science when we shoot indian weddings the Lumix looks more pleasing than Sony straight up... the ugly yellow really ruined it without colour grading. When we do some livestream for Chinese (which is predominately Sony) they were shocked with the colour coming from Lumix cam, you know aisan really hate yellow on their already yellow skin. They really prefer pale and magenta more which Canon is really good at, which lumix is kinda similarish in that regard. This time last year I am all Sony.. FX3/FX30/E1.. sold them all and never regret. (well except the 4k60p crop but luckily my Canon can all do non crop 4K60p ha). I m still deciding between S1RII or S1II at end of the year when wedding season start to ramp up in southern hemisphere, 2 of my friend is gonna get S1II so I kinda want to be a bit different to them.
  18. Man all the recently released camera price have gone through the roof, I guess this will be the new norm
  19. We have guys like that, buying the newest gear and sell in quite short time (like a month)
  20. That 28-45mm is a very nice lens.. This guy was using the S1II but using the sigma 28-45mm 1.8 lens
  21. Nice! If I didn't have R5C I was gonna go for S1RII as I do found one used in very good price.
  22. It still have one of the sharpest FHD footage since it is supersampled from 4k sensor If C100II have 4k it will certainly change the projectary of the cinema space, unfortunately Sony came out with 4k FS5 and that was history (I was one of the early adaptor of fs5 ha) With c300ii only have 4k30p certainly doesn't help either when FS7 have 4k60p
  23. I was wondering is Lumix taking a note from Sony's marketing tactics I do see annoyed Sony user on some of those comments, like they are going through a divorce because the guy they subscribed suddenly jumped ship.
  24. In terms of noise R5C is definitely better, sharpness is pretty much a draw from my own perspective. AF on R8 is more clever for sure, there are times where R5C could lose tracking and focus on the background instead but R8 will still be lock on target. I know a wedding guy he used to have C70 and R5C, but later sold his c70 for 2 R7, the weight saving is quite huge, battery on R7 last ages too, u can easily have over 2hr of 4k25p in one charge. Just R7's 4k50p is subsampled so won't be as sharp as R8/R6ii, but for client they can't tell anyway ha. I just use the touch screen to disable AF on R8, on R5C u need to assign a button to stop AF, I haven't tried assign a button on R8 to disable AF.
