Although I'm horrible at drawing, I decided to get a tablet to do some storyboarding. I'd like to do some really basic previs, animating with some simple drawings. Potentially adding some audio. I was thinking about just using After Effects or even Final Cut. But curious to hear if anyone has any favorite approaches. Someone suggested MotionArtist. Also, Paper being a good free app. Any thoughts / perspective would be great. Thanks.

Hey there, first time posting here, just wanted to drop one of my recent films here which I shot while in Vietnam. Used a DEC Lens Regain and simple Canon 18-135mm kit lens (which became 2.8) btw. Love how it enables IS on Canon glass. LUT grading. Cheers for looking

This music video was shot with a Sony Fs700 and Samyang lenses.Check the shots at night, they were all made at 50 fps, without help of any speedbooster, just the combination of the Samyang lenses and the right exposure.We had no help of any kind of light equipment, because we didn't have the budget... just the street lights. For those who are thinking to buy this camera, I can just say that the Sony Fs700 is really a good deal for what it can deliver. See for yourself. And the grain... was put on purpose on post-production to have that dirty effect. -
Hi Gals and Boys, my name is Vi-Dan Tran and I am a filmmaker from Germany. From the very beginning of my studies I have only done action films. In the end I decided I wanted to try something new. The short movie "You Never Know" was supposed to be my first non-action movie for my final diploma exams of Media Design with focus on filmmaking. This idea came in my mind while studying in the third semester. I wanted to raise the bar for me with this film. I focused on the characters, dramaturgy, the emotional situation and storytelling. Logline: The successfully womanizer Terry gets into trouble when he falls for the cute and chaotic Lara, unaware that he himself is about to get played... technical details: 5 Days shooting with 95% Available Light and Guerilla Style. Almost without permissions. Hey there! After hard work, we’ve finally wrapped the production of our new short “RED WALKERâ€. And, of course, we’re crazy excited to hear some feedback from you guys :) The film is about 4 min long, featuring a Canadian actress, one from Norway, and another Norwegian with an acting background from New York. We shot it on Canon 7D with an Anamorphic adapter to get that cinematic analog vibe. If there’s any questions concerning the technical/visual aspect of the film, fire away! Here’s the short: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wK2BuwH-4_M I managed to get my hands on an ISCO-OPTIC Cinemascope Ultra Star Lens (one of the smaller versions), an anamorphic projection lens that i have to say; Its really sharp! And taking in consideration this is the first time we've operated an anamorphic projection lens on a filmset, i'm quite happy with the result! The ana-lens was mounted on a Canon EF 50mm f/1.8, a lens i can't say i'm proud to own. What do you think? Shot on the Canon 7D, settings all set to flat, then graded in After Effects and cut in Premiere Pro. I've uploaded some test footage from the new Panasonic GH3. The first portion of the video contains fairly even lighting with tests from f2.8/ISO 200 - f16/ISO 6400. The second portion introduces a hot spot via a desk lamp. Test are from f4.0/ISO 200 - f22/ISO 6400. Gradation looks very good in the bright areas of the footage. Blacks are fairly consistent throughout. ISO 200 - 800 appears damn fine, as far as noise is concerned. ISO 1600 fairly good and easily workable. ISO 3200 is usable. 6400 is useless. https://vimeo.com/58314941

[img]http://www.eoshd.com/comments/uploads/inline/20577/5004358d76523_235vs240.jpg[/img] Ok, I recently purchased a lens on ebay that says that its 1.3x, which means a 30 percent squeeze or 2.40??:1 / 1920x756 really not sure what aspect ratio it is. Which is on the Right of the image Im Sharing. On the left I only did a 25 percent squeeze or 2.35:1 / 1920x810 aspect ratio. Now the ebayer that sold me this lens told me it was 1.3x. But I'm really not sure. The lens looks like a Century Optics Lens.But its not as blurry some of the videos that I've seen on ebay. I'm using a T2i and Helios 44-2 lens with a 49mm to 52mm thread which FITS THE ANAMORPHIC LENS. The lens is beautiful- it's a little dusty- and it has an anamorphic rubber band around it. No brand is on the actual lens and underneith it it says Made In Japan. 2 Questions come to mind- What is what is the proper aspect resolution/squeeze based on the photo I've taken?
