Hi EOSHD people! Which one to use with GH4? MÅVI? BeSteady? Defy? Others? Looks like nothing new came out at NAB 2014… Did someone try it? I'm really interested by BeSteady One: it looks like a very good value for money. (Really hard to find a review: would you write about it Andrew)? Thanks!

Im in need of some advice. I have a full Redrock UltraCage setup. Backplate everything and power distribution system connected to a V-Mount battery. Its heavy to say the least. I bought the Steadicam Merlin and body brace. Which worked with just the dslr, well even with the beginning parts of the ultracage. However with the full ultracage and battery it is far too heavy. Im in need of a scale for sure, however does anyone have any suggestions for good heavy duty heavy camera stabilizers? Im concerned the Glidecam 4000 doesn't support the weight I need it to support. Next to Bladerunner, my favorite film is Paul Thomas Anderson's Magnolia. I take a lot of heat for that with some of my friends but I don't care, it's beautiful and masterful. Anyway, I watched it for the first time in several years tonight with a friend that had never seen it before. I went looking for the trailer to show them and found this: http://vimeo.com/56335284 ...his combination of anamorphic photography with steadicam is a favorite facet of mine.

http://vimeo.com/60661023 Hey there everyone. I'm new to the forum, but a long time lerker : ) Just wanted to share the latest thing I've completed for a really cool whisky distillery here on Vancouver Island. These small cameras are great tools that set us loose to create meaningful work.

The goal here was to use the Sony RX100's Active Image Stabilization + the plugin Lock & Load to get steadicam-like fluid walking shots without too much CMOS jello wobble or digital zooming on the image. You be the judge... http://vimeo.com/57910477

Hey everyone, I hope I don't get in trouble for this being so off topic but I don't really know where else to ask about this. Maybe someone can at least steer me in the right direction. I've always had a thing for steadicam. To me, it seems like the ultimate dolly/track/ jib arm/etc, camera mover all in one. But as far as I've known, Steadycam systems are prohibitively expensive. So usually you would just rent one on the day of the shoot (hopefully along with an experienced operator). So I was surprised to happen across this on ebay: [url="http://www.ebay.com/itm/Steadicam-P
