They should make a 1DXMK2 with full frame 4k and log and sell it for $2500. Would be huge probably the top selling camera.

It seems like the Z6 IBIS is better than the XH1 as well as the auto focus. XH1 isn't shabby though especially as you can get them for sub $1000 now.

I think a RED becomes a no brainer at some point. But if buying one seems like a risky investment to you than it probably is a bad idea. I am not saying buying a RED won't help you land jobs, but on the other hand if you aren't a great DP its not going to change that. 

I was looking at a RED ONE, still would consider it. Power hungry SOB though. Much rather have an URSA mini G2 at this point.

True though most of these companies could be using the Sony sensors to their max potential. Really only Z cam is sort of fully utilizing them and sort of Black magic. 

Though if he doesn't want to deal with RAW, the Nikon D800 can be had at that price. 

Yeah just save for an A7S or get an XT2 or A6300 or XT30 maybe. The Nikon D750 is a good option too if you want full frame. Not as good in low light as the A7S but better colors and probably less rolling shutter(can't confirm that)

Sometimes I like it sometimes I don't. Getting a bride walking down an aisle at f2 on a long lens is hard without it though.

If the A7S3 has 4K 60p and A6400 auto focus I think it will sell well. If they give it a Venice color option and do away with overheating that's even better. 
10 bit is great but I am not sure its a deal breaker for hybrids yet. It is for me but I am not everyone.

It really needs a punch in to focus option while recording. Other than that I want one haha. 
Honestly Panasonic seems to be the first to really get it right for these compressed H264 cameras.

I don't know. When a Full frame camera comes out that does what the Pocket 4k does there won't be much a place for APSC and M43 anymore. One of the reasons I haven't got a full frame camera is none of them are where they need to be yet. 

The Panasonic S1 comes close but auto focus isn't there. Lenses are also way too expensive to make it worth it to switch. 

I kind of agree. H265 is hard on most PC's and I don't think it yields any better results unless you are using very low bitrates.

The game is rapidly changing. I am kind of hesitant to buy anything right now.

 

Yeah for me its just the sacrifice of a small body, which is part of the appeal of a Pocket cam. 

Yeah you could kind of just use that setup alone for an entire shoot. Maybe not so much weddings but for narrative stuff. Obviously its not replacing a gimble but you could use it to get a steady handheld look. 

Its a shame Fuji doesn't put that OIS in their F2 primes. 

The image is softer for sure. Just depends how much you'll notice or care. 

I opted to buy Nikon lenses as I knew I could get a Lens Turbo speedbooster for them for cheap, which are pretty comparable to metabones. But yeah if you don't have a fluid head tripod that would definitely be a place to start. 

I'd highly recommend a used 18-55mm Fuji lens. The OIS is amazing.
