I went to the Thailand Photo Expo yesterday and by far the most crowded stand was DJI with people playing with the Osmo Pocket (mostly in selfie mode). I think DJI will have a big hit on its hands here if it works as well as advertised...

This absolutely kills smartphone gimbals if you ask me....

A typical smartphone weighs 180g. The Osmo pocket weighs 120g in total and the camera module that you are stabilizing, probably around 30g.

I think the DJI pocket addresses all 3 of these issues. First it is so small (half the weight of a smartphone) that anyone can take it with them - no trouble - even if they dont use it. Second it has 'story mode' see 6.30 to 7.50 of this video....
...this creates a video and does the editing for you - it even does all the camera motions!! Thirdly, it instantly edits and records the video on your mobile phone for instant sharing. Overall it seems a lot, lot easier to produce an interesting social media post than a smartphone.

The DJI Osmo Pocket has been a serious surprise to me. At first glance, this thing really looks like a consumer product…but honestly, it shares the image quality we have come to know and love of the higher end Mavic Pro’s!

The field of view is just right…wide enough..but not fisheye like a GoPro. The D-Cinelike grades beautifully and 4K at 60fps is wonderful.
Using the device with a mobile phone is really the best way to get all the features, but if you want to go light and small just use the tiny built in display!
I was seriously surprised with how good the image was on the DJI Osmo Pocket…and for me, I would rather have one than a GoPro.

I'll just leave this here. Going 6k before 10-bit is the worst single thing they could do.

Don’t know about 8k myself - would definitely like to get away from 8 bit though.

I received my Z6 the other day and this is my quick first impression and usage after 2 days. Before I pre-ordered the Z6 I rented the Sony A7III and used for a month and was considering buying it.
The Z6 feels very solid in the hands. You immediately get the confidence you can use it in any weather condition without worrying too much. It fits well in the hands.
The EVF and screen in nice, big, and sharp. The buttons have a nice feel to it.
The menu; a lot simpler than the Sony. I have to say I am fairly familiar with Nikon menu system from past usage but if you were to give both cameras to someone who has never used a Sony or Nikon before, their learning curve on the Nikon menu system will be fast. Within 30 mins, I will say I was very comfortable with where everything was on the menu.
I only have the 24-70 f4s lens and I am quite impressed with that lens and the IQ I am getting with the Z6 and that lens. Even more impressive is the low light with that F4 lens. This camera may turn out to be the king of low light with other cameras at that price point.
Video AF; sorry Panasonic I am so happy for you for your latest firmware update on the GH5/s but Nikon completely beat you at video AF on their very first attempt on a mirrorless camera! It’s quite impressive, I dare to say on par with Sony. Moreover, you get face detect AF when shooting 4k! On the video side of things, this camera is very capable! Of course, it doesn’t have the advanced video tools the GH5/s has but for most of the hybrid shootings I do, I will be ok.
I wish this camera had is eye AF like Sony and better tracking when shooting stills. Eye AF is quite handy and useful when it works.
There is quite a latency with this camera with what you see on the LCD and EVF, worse than any camera I ever used.
I am still testing to see how long the battery will last compared with my time with the A7III, but I don't think it will measure up to the A7III.
Overall so far, I think Nikon did an ok job with their first attempt in the mirrorless world. Are there things that need improvement, most definitely! For my kind of hybrid shooting, I think the Z6 will keep me going for a while.
One last thing, I like their mobile phone and camera app (Snapbridge). The only camera that compares is Panasonic. (I have tried Fuji, Sony, Panasonic, and Nikon) It still amazes me how camera companies still haven’t yet made communication between the camera and mobile device effortless.
Off to more shooting and testing.

And with their awful batteries they'll last... What? 50 or so minutes, assuming it doesn't overheat? And they'll still lack decent stabilization, awful Sony colors, low bit rates, and all the other features the GH5 introduced. And don't get me started on the rolling shutter I'd have to put up with for something as fast paced as wrestling or other sports!
It's so weird that people always try to sell me, and other satisfied users, on FF and Sony in particular.  Part of it is they don't get my production situation, which is understandable, but part of it also feels like they just can't understand that there are legitimate benefits to MFT and that sensor size really isn't that important.
Wrestling events are generally 3-5 hours, with an 15 minute intermission in the middle. I NEED a camera that can shoot 90 to 120 minutes straight. I can't worry about batteries, overheating, etc. because every second I'm not recording during the action is a bad thing and creates issues in post. Sure I can work around them but why not avoid them completely if possible? I'm also constantly moving around the wrestling ring, so that stabilization and the weight of the lens and camera is a godsend. I don't want to have to use my gimbal or shoulder rig on these shoots, the simpler and lighter my set up the easier it is on my fat ass for the 3-5 hours I'm on my feet and shooting! ?
Maybe I'd feel differently if I wasn't regularly just a 1 to 2 person crew. But I have way too many responsibilities and things to worry about when shooting events and these MFT cameras make my life a lot easier.

Good on ya. Wish I had done that.

If that were possible, I would have NO working cameras left (instead of the six I have lying around, if you include my drones and my Olympus 3030 zoom that I have been too lazy to take down to the electronics recycling center).

For lowlight, these results are pretty much as expected
The A7iii is full frame supersampled from 6k to 4k, the BMPCC is M43 (-2 stops), EOS-R FF sensor heavily cropped (-2 stops), XT-3 APSC (-1 stop) and the Z7 is high resolution sensor with pixel binning (a comparison with a Z6 would be fairer.)

Nope the reason was touched upon in Max's video. There is no hard defined definition of ISO. All camera manufacturers 'understate' their ISO. So take a look at this chart from DXOmark for the A7riii...
    https://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Sony/A7R-III---Measurements
You will see that what 'Sony' calls iso 200, is measured at iso 145 by DXOmark. Why do they do this? Well so people will say - very little noise at iso3200 - partly because the actual iso is 1600. You can go back and look at Canon 5D bodies and you will see the differential between real and Canon's iso has increased with every generation. Why? So that people can say 'at 6400 there is a half stop improvement over the old body' when it is more like a 1/4 of a stop and a 1/4 additional stop iso fudge.
When you do a comparison like Max's that uses 'same settings' - shutter speed, f stop, iso - greater amounts of 'iso fudge' end up as 'lower exposure'. As a general rule, smaller sensor cameras tend to 'fudge' their iso more than FF cameras. Take the Olympus EM1 for an example....
    https://www.dxomark.com/Cameras/Olympus/OM-D-E-M1-Mark-II---Measurements
Iso stated by Olympus is iso200 while DXOmark's measured ISO is 83. So Olympus has fudged the ISO well over 1 stop and almost I stop more than the Sony.
