I think i am gonna use gyro stab to some degree but not 100% cos I like the handheld look, just to smooth it out. On some other particular shots I might use it more extensivly. I would also try using a gimbal with a gyro to get it as smooth as possible as I hate that robotic walking gimbal look. Or I would just use my air2s for those perfect floating camera shots. Dunno, need more experimetns. The softwae is just getting developed (I use with gyroflow for now, but I hope either Blackmagic will add support for Sony or the former will produce their promiced plugin so the workflow becomes more intuitive and simple). If I had to choose which one to get - stable footage or motion blur, I would choose stable footage, if that what I need. Some times you must have a motion blur. Just prioritize what you need.

This. Do your own tests and trust your judgement, but here's my opinion.

If all you care about is how it looks on YouTube, 50 is perfectly fine. No one can tell the difference between a 50 and 100 source file on a 7" phone screen, or a 65" 4k screen 12' away with window glare across the front. I care more about how my content looks in Resolve than on YouTube. And even then, I use 100 mbps H265 (IPB). When I had an XT3, I shot a few full projects at 200 mbps and didn't see any improvement. I've done tests with my Z Cam and can't see benefits to >100. I'd be happy with 50 in most scenarios. It might be confirmation bias but I think I have been in scenarios where 100 looked better than 50, in particular when handheld.
Keep in my also, on most cameras, especially consumer cameras, the nominal rate is the upper limit (it would be a BIG problem the encoder went OVER its nominal rate because the SD card requirements would be a lie). So while I shoot at 100, the file size is usually closer to 70, so it might not even be as big a file size increase as you think. But for me, 100 mpbs is the sweet spot, when shooting H265 IPB.

If they would work with other cameras with gyro like the latest Sony cameras, that would be even better. I am tired of waiting for gyroflow Resolve plugin.

With a new Megadap Nikon Z to Sony e-mount adapter I am actually looking at Nikon cameras in a new light now.
If they prodcue a more compact and cheap version of their flagship Z9, or just migrate some of its features to a refreshed versions of Z6 and Z7 I might just get one. Two ecosystems in one! Only the batteries would be different.

I frankly wish that Nikon would make a dedicated video camera a-la Sony fx3, but with Nikon ergonomics, a big bright screen, gyro stab, etc. Not going to dream about a build-in ND but if Nikon engeneers would manage to fit it in a Z7 sized body, this camera would disrupt the market for sure.

Jeez... a production could take the casing off and use that as a prop in the next Bond film. All it needs is a countdown timer.

Oh I think Ukraine has already won the war. Putin Really screwed up on this bone headed decision. Not sure Russia will ever recover from it, and Russia has lost the false narrative that their Army was strong and advanced. There will be more and more countries join NATO down the road and Russia will be boxed in forever. Putin has thrown all the people in Russia under the bus I am afraid.
I think down the road Russia will even loose what it already had in Ukraine. They will be driven out.

Look at Casey Neistat one of the most successful people ever on YouTube, he could afford any camera there was and he used a Canon 80D most all the time. He had talent, came up with crazy great ideas on shots. The footage looked great. He didn't need a Red or an Arri. He was good and knew how to use what he had.
The latest camera is not going to make any one of us really better, skill, talent, understanding every ounce your camera has, desire do that.

I would serioslly consider GH6 if it would arrive at least a year and a half earlier. It took them too long.

So after wathcing like 4 or 5 youtube reviews I can say that this is a very good video camera for hand held video shooting where you don't need AF. No gimbal. But.. you probably don't need one cos IBIS is so good. I am actually not a fun of gimbals and if I didn't swtich to Sony A7S3 and sold all my MFT gear I would be interested in this camera for sure. This camera plus SB and Sigma 18-35 is still a very sweet package for hand-held video shooting. I wounder if they have an ability to record gyro data like Sony cameras to use it later with something like GyroFlow and if it will work in conjunction with its IBIS unlike Sony, please Andrew test it.
    Wanna see more IBIS tests.

Sadly I must agree that MFT is dying. It would probably still exist in some sort of form for much longer beeing an open system I would imagine some manufactureses still produce MFT gear once in a while, but if OM and Pana fail to make any siginificant money out of those cameras they WILL shut down their MFT camera divisions. This is just a reality.

Ok, let's do a fact check on this one. MFT vs FF.
    1. Olympus 12-100 f4 - 1300$
    1. Tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6 - 729$. Same weight.. but in terms of m43 it has f1.2-2.8 aperture! And its almost half the fricking price! Nice macro capabilities as well.
    2. Olympus 7-14mm f/2.8 - 1300$ (534 gramm)
    2. Tamron 17-28 f.28 - 900$ (420 gramm). Yes, the range is a bit smaller,  but f1.2 in MFT terms plus its even lighter.
So in no way MFT lenses are cheaper or smaller, lets forget that crap already. Add Samyang tiny 1.8 primes for Sony E and you are set.
So if you pick up a Sony A7IV and those two zooms, you will end up with quite a cheaper set.
    Olumpus: 2200 body + 2600 for those 2 zooms = 4800$ total
    Sony: 2500 body + 1600 for 2 zooms = 4100$ total
Now, it doesnt mean that FF is better in all occasions, all depends on your use case. Just dont see any price\size advantage over it from MFT.

You need to format a card as an exFat on PC first. That is cos my card was 32gb only. Probably wont need that on 128 or 64gb card, but if it happens - that formating trick might help you as well.
