Somewhere between 0.95 and 1.4 - definitely no more stopped down than that. The EXIF says ISO 200 and 1/6400th so probably closer to 0.95.
I had some video tests I shot with a model a couple of a years ago with the Voigt 17.5 vs the Pana 12-35 at 17ish, both at 2.8. The difference in 3D pop was quite remarkable but I can't find the files now.

The paid version of Resolve 15 has a great noise reduction feature in it. But yeah if you are going to buy the 4K BMPCC wait, don't double buy Resolve.
And I think Ethan is right, just the data rate alone makes it worth going 2K or more on YT. 1080 at 8Mbps can be pretty Gnarly at times. But I have seen some damn good 1080p on there, but it might have been down sampled from 2K, 4K.

Besides the quick edits, cool location and amazing model help. Imagine it with a fat chick. ?
Digital Bolex on a shoulder rig would probably give a better version of what this is trying to be.

Jesus Christ I had to take a Sea Sick pill after watching that video! Talk about camera movement. He must have taken 4 Black Mollies before he shot it. I think the video sucks ass to be honest. My pointer is delete the damn thing LoL.
Some people really Love Fats Chicks. not me, but it seems the skinnier the guy is the fatter the women is he is with in my experience. The old "there is a lid for every pot" thingy.

Looking back I owe everyone a big thank-you for using the forum and taking an interest in the blog, it is amazing what it has turned into with so little effort on my part  I think this place must be the only website on the entire internet without adverts. Long may it continue like that.
Got a GX9 arriving tomorrow... about time I did a review of something cheap with the big shift to high-end stuff. Let me know what you'd like to see in the review of it.

Still a hell of a lot better than say a Panasonic GH1, and I've done just fine with that with many many shoots in the past.

Still better than most RED cameras of that era.

People need to see the context of when it was and that is was a cinema camera.

Bravissimo brotha', you can tell a difference between a lens manufactured by Sony and a lens manufactured by Voigtlaender. Sick skillZ!
If he use the same lens with focal reducer you will not see any difference between the two images. I have tried it.

My dear erstwhile member can you please stop attacking John Brawley now.
I have long since given up on camera forum arguments so might not be completely up on who is right and who is wrong-evil / killed-a-kitten, but can we tone it down a bit. It's JB! We could be learning so much and having such interesting cameras talks with a film industry guy and I am sure one of the only people with a Blackmagic Pocket 2 prototype yet instead a handful of you are just bitching. It's pointless. Even if you disagree with him on certain matters, hold your tongue a bit for the benefit of the rest of us who are interested in what he has to tell.

Hi everybody, I'm here to share my test film of the GH5s.
Everything was shot with a flashlight and bounced with reflector. ISO 3200, Nikon lens 50mm f1.8

Hilariously bad compared to an a6500; not even remotely in the same class.

Is it a good idea to talk about the projects people hope o have this camera in time for? I'm shooting a film festival in September and really hope I have this in my bag by then.

jonpais paraphrased Frank Glencairn, who in spirit (if not literally) wrote that battery whiners were sissies. Did he intend to insult gays? Well, english is not my native language, but to me "sissy" sounds more like "pantywaist". Frank is living in Bavaria, a country that's not famous for diplomacy or political correctness or much respect for "snowflakes".

The point is also that not a lot of other people are doing it. And that it's in person. Blurays would be newer but probably actually less likely for everyone to be able to watch it.
And with DVDs, there's a case with the cover on it that could get you interested in the film, and it looks like a product.
So.. I didn't feel too crazy, sorry.

I know plenty that feel IBIS is almost as good as a gimbal and therefore can be used in place of a dolly for tracking shots.
As as opposed to me in a car tracking someone, the example I gave.
Thats two different types of tracking shots.
And by the way you said “locked off” shots which I didn’t actually say and is not what I’m talking about IBIS being good at.
    Keep trying.

TwoScoops reacted to covertfilm in Shot a music video with the Letus Anamorphix
    Hey everyone,

A music video I directed just released this week and I thought I'd share it! We shot in an old salon & a retro pinball collection and we used a bunch of aputure lights and rented a 'Letus Anamorphix' adapter which was quirky, but gave the look that I wanted in the end. We shot on an A7s (mark 1) into a blackmagic 4k recorder/monitor. I guess the main oddity of the adapter is that the aspect ration wasn't truly a 1.33x squeeze. It seemed to vary depending on where I had the 'focus ring'. So i ended up adjusting the clips scale by hand in the final grade.

The actors were the lead singer and his girlfriend (who is a non-actor), but I'm really proud of how they just went for it.

Any thoughts on the look of the adapter? Has anyone else used it before?

I think it depends on what you want and what lenses are AVAILABLE.
My favourite lens is the Canon 17mm F4 L TS-E.         When you need shift and wide, you have will have a hard time do that with M43 (maybe a tilt shift adapter with a 8mm lens would be the closest if you can).
There is an increasing number of solutions so the number of situations where it would be harder to do things with one format or another is shrinking but they still exist.
Another would be fast longer exotics.     400 2.8 for instance (or even 300 2.8).      To get the end results to match would be close to impossible currently (how much would a 200 1.4 cost for M43 given the costs of 400 2.8 lenses anyway).
I could never afford a modern 300 2.8 AF lens now let alone a 400 2.8 AF but I still love using my old MF Tamron adaptall 300 2.8 and they can be found fairly reasonably priced and the same with some others (old Nikons, Canon FD ETC).     If you want 300mm FF angle of view at 2.8 what would you use on M43?   (These lenses are also great ON APSC and M43 but then give a 450/600mm FF angle of view.)     Maybe something speed boosted but that would have to be something fast and long anyway if it exists.
