Now only if we could get that source code or whatever kino and them need... ML Can squeeze 4k Raw out of a 5D MK3 I know raw video could be possible on NX-1
 
Im sure this is over simplifying  but it seems you would have to just tell the camera to record 24 8mp raw files a second... It can do 15 a sec with 28mp raw... this seems plausible 
I really wish I knew reverse engineering... or forward engineering even!
 

They could make this beast a perfect camera with internal 10bit recording! Why Sony? WHY? 

This is a righteous camera, but I don't think it's the one we're waiting on.  That 100mbps codec kind of tells me there's another one en route.

Don't the NX1, Sony A6500 and GH5 already offer that ?

Well, at least Sony's not being obtuse about battery life. Snoozefest, otherwise.

NX2 would have been scheduled for mid/late 2017 and would have had a much better sensor (i.e. APSC vs m43 to begin with and possibly more than 28MP), with embedded dram for very high performance in slow motion (240fps@1080 at least and 60fps@4k). Who knows? Perhaps it could have been the first 8k consumer camera...
And since NX1 is still a much better camera for stills compared to GH5, I can only imagine what NX2 could have been there.

Nx1: still much more details, faster and more consistent af and better colors. Gh5: much better is, 60fps more at 2k, slightly less rs.
For video gh5 is probably the best choice right now, if someone is starting a system from scratch. Nx1 is a much better camera for stills and very good for video nevertheless.
 
On a side note, a big thumbs up for this guy, who is still considering nx1, while most other previous "supporters" simply forgot about it.

Nonsense - nothing wrong with overclocking if done properly within the manufacturer's limits for voltage and temperature and lots to gain from faster processing. 

I have run all my PC overclocked since... (can´t remember :))
It´s 1.25v at 3.7Ghz 8cores, with offset, going 0.485v in idle, that´s nothing, temperatures are excellent so noise too.
I´m testing now 3.8Ghz no high gain, and my chip needs 1.30v, it gives me only +1point in Cinebench.
Stability is solid rock, +4 hours Realbench, windows too, just installed the AMD Ryzen Energy plan.
0 problems.
Durability? My last PC was from 3.4Ghz to 4.2Ghz since 2011, 0 problems. Now it´s working for other person.
Ryzen 1700 gives us a 8 core for the masses.

Ryzen 1700 mounted, right now overclocked to 3,7Ghz all cores. 35ºC idle, 50-55ºC rendering. It´s really faster than my i7 2600K overclocked to 4,2Ghz.
1610 Points Cinebench R15. I will be editing next week with a new project, more conclusions to come.
I´m very satisfied.

Would not advise that... the consens half a year ago was premiere eats fast clocking cpu preferably with 8 cores.. gpu is "neglegtable", and don´t go lower than 32gb ram... especially after effects renders significantly faster with more ram.. resolve on the other hand relies heavily on gpu and does suggest a 8gb card...

color wise: i quit from M43 because of colors. I could never get correct colors from GH4, photo and video both. Sometimes picture is nice, but collors are wrong. Espetially in photo mode. Ive investet in Cilkipix and all other possible converters without any big improovment. And i tried everything, and i loved M43 format and concept, and i had All the best M43 lenses, and i had some other Panasonics and Olympus. Final  breaking decission happened when Panasonic involved 20mp trend instead of 16mp development on its sensor... And also M43 AF system Olways stresset me in a bad mood...
I will take NX1 with me in a grave, because now i have COLORS and features. Sad on manufactor decissions only...

Found another video this one is NX1 vs GH5 straight up... I believe hes a Korean brother... Figured I would post here rather than make a new thread...
It seems the NX-1 is way sharper (can be good or bad depending) and the 10bit color on GH5 does look a little "Thicker" but I could easily get them to match in resolve... 
also I dont think he has NX-1 is in standard color profile if you dont want to correct much it looks great..

I find the defensiveness of the GH5 crowd very entertaining. 
Specially since some of the loudest used to rip pretty hard om the gh4 but are now willing to die defending the exact same issues.
And I mean this in a very positive way. Its good to be passionate
(Edit: I feel I must add that I have never spoken badly nor positive about the gh5. Otherwise I risk getting caught in the crossfire )

It is always better to downsize from 4K(UHD) to 1080p, true, but the 4K rolling shutter in most hybrid cameras (except GH5 maybe) is terrible, and for most instances (home videos that never will be edited, big performances/live video that last too long) it is just easier, more manageable, less expensive to just shoot 1080p.
But yes, if you shoot 4K/UHD and downsize to 1080p, you are definitely have a quality advantage.
Do not forget, that this is the ONLY method of shooting video with a6300/a6500 cameras, as their 1080p video is worst, even to the a6000's one, so having the 1080p of NX1 I consider it a bonus.

@sondreg What do you mean "the NX1 doesn't record a clean 1080p image", its 1080p is just fine, better than most. Have you seen the soft Canon 1080p (with no 4K option anyway), GH4 (which is similar to NX1), the terrible a6300/a6500? Plus, it has the lowest possible rolling shutter of any of those cameras.
Filming performances, 1080p of NX1/NX500 are better than a lot of other cameras I have used, and it is not possible for me to have 5-8 4K cameras for 200 minutes of show, I would need a house of hard drives only for the footage and a backup.

the good thing is that there is already a cheap macro tube with contacts, maybe it is possible to 3d print one of those and put some elements inside. This is were my mechanical capabilities stop!

I know you can do it. Same optical quality of nx-L, but inverse logic. 50-150 would become a 100-300 f5.6, which is not so bad.
