    The 85 1.4D is a tank, the 85mm 1.8D is terrible however.

Saw La La Land and had huge problems with it. Emma Stone has two incredible scenes but I felt that the musical numbers were overdone, not well choreographed, and poorly edited. Unlike you spink I had major issues with the ending, not how it ended, but the filmmaking and editing used to convey the scene.

Personally loved Arrival, High-Rise, Hacksaw Ridge, Kubo and the Two Strings, "Hail, Caesar!" , The Nice Guys, 10 Cloverfield Lane, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Still want to catch: Don’t Think Twice, Sing Street, The Lobster, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, Loving, Silence, Manchester by the Sea, Moonlight, Hell or High Water, Fences, Paterson, Zootopia, The Boy and the Beast, Captain Fantastic, Green Room, Fences, The Little Prince, A Monster Calls.

I haven't had the 1.4D in hands but other full metal AF-D's like the 20-35 2.8 are filthy tanks compared to the plastic shells of the cheaper D versions. Yes I really liked the 1.8G I tested, too

I found that there was often a disconnect between the singing/dance scenes and the real life issues that the characters were facing n La La Land.
I understand that this was intentional, however,I found the surrealism jarring, at times.
I guess I couldn't help but compare it to Sing Street as they are both loosely in the "musical" genre.
And in the end I thought Sing Street executed its transition to musical numbers better and the themes of the characters were more insistent and poignant.
But each to their own and I'm sure that there will be those who disagree with my assessment.
The conclusion of La La Land was perfect though.

I shot a short with 4.1. Magenta was in the corners when shooting wider than 28mm. Hope 4.2 fixed that.

The SDI for the viewfinder broke on set. I was shooting in the woods, the internal fan has no mesh covering, you can see right through the body. I used the camera on a low angle shot and a small twig jammed the fan, I had to shut down the unit and pull it out with tweezers.

It creates an incredible image, but build quality is far away from what's needed. I would rather they raised the cost to $10000 and up the build quality.

Nice shots and editing. The soundtrack lacked punch, intensity and ambient sounds IMHO.

    My first Shooting forum post!

It's all Samsung NX1 (except for a couple of  drone shots) with the Kinoseed bitrate hack (180mbs), using Andrew's Gamma DR profile. Lenses: Samsung 16-50 S, Rokinon 12mm and 85mm, plus some lensbaby. I used a couple LUTS by luts.iwltbap.com and FilmConvert in post. Filmed in 4K converted to ProRes for editing in Premiere. Yes, I know Premiere supports H.265, but I've had nothing but problems with H.265 files since the last update. Exported to 1080.

    What's it about?
What do you call a ghost town that still has people living there? This documentary is a peek into the world of some folks that live in what others call a "ghost town." Haunted kewpie doll, boot fence, dream cowboys, custom caskets, and stories of healing are all there in the Dreamworld.

I would have thought that you'd need a whole production crew, and a rather large budget to create something similar to the link you provided.

I am. Just. Sometimes another place has it In stock faster. Sometimes, it is not what it seems. Glad I didn't pre-order the Sony A6300. I pre-ordered the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera because of the global shutter... which it ultimately didn't ship with. And... 'don't try this at home. We try it, so you don't have to'. Exactly as some folks have already mentioned, best to just wait it out an see what it's actually about. Just my 2cts.

Shot in 2 weeks on a Blackmagic 4.6K and a Sony A7r 2 with Voigtlander Lenses. Aerial video on a DJI Phantom 3. Rip it to shreds!

Use Wordpress and buy a theme which is almost exactly how you want it to be from Theme Forest. Only choose themes made in past year with at least 20 4.5 star overall reviews.
Embedding videos is much easier and it will boost the video rankings on Vimeo or Youtube.
Buy your domain name from internet.bs (avoid GoDaddy they will hammer you with unnecessary addons).  Host it with Hostmonster if in US or Vidahost in UK. Cheapest package is fine. Actually the domain name may be free with the hosting.
Use Tinypng to compress photos or the plugin SmushIt if you want to batch compress. There is also ImageOptim app on Macs for jpeg. Page speed is a big ranking factor for Google.
Dont buy any spam links or it will get banned or penalised in Google. Join Google Analytics and Search Console to help get the pages indexed in Google, get advice and see visitor statistics.
Join Google My Business Local if you want local clients or Brand if not. Make sure the category is right, then get a couple of reviews and it can be a short cut to the top with the Google Maps listings.

Got a 42" Viera Free yesterday from a woman that bought a new LED panel who was going to throw it away. Plasma is still unmatched in image quality except for high-end OLED. Also closest you'll get to theater look in my opinion. Next panel I buy is going to have to meet Dolby Vision specifications. Don't see the point of buying something half-way there.

I'm very impressed with the Sony 24-70 G Master.  It appears to be parfocal, focus by wire works well and autofocus with Sony A6300 and even the A7RII to a lesser degree is very good. At the long end, it has nice bokeh wide open with a 3D pop to it. Resolution and color are outstanding as well.

You offer a "in theoretical world base only on my personal opinion" without owning a 1Dx or a Gimbal.... I'm offering a real world opinion using the 1Dx II on a gimbal at 4k 60p using AF in a similar way that the OP is intending to use.
You are probably much more skilled and talented than me but the OP did try in real world your "theoretical" approach manual focusing on a gimbal and he was not so happy and I know why, because I'm been there and I don't want to return doing that way.
I'm really not sure why you cannot use AF with strobe, these are all done with the 1Dx, strobe and using AF (including long lenses, night shots, backlight, etc...:

    Don't,
in your situation, I would just wait for the sony a9 or a7pro /whatever it's going to be call. Keep the workflow easy with sony and same color gamut - no need for massive files... Or even get the inspire 2 with the x5s

GH4 4K files dont have that big a bandwith compared to prores for example - that would put more stress on the hard drives.

However since they are encoded in H264, they require a lot of cpu power.
