Your comment does not make sense. Who on earth said a video camera should not have IBIS? 
FACT is GH5 is a small and light camera that shakes a lot. for VIDEO use, IBIS is a great feature. It's a big miss on the GH5S. Period. Now if you do not need IBIS good for you, but do not say it is normal to not have IBIS because it is a video camera. 

IBIS really is something I wouldn't go without in a dslr style body, id rather the ibis over lowlight 

Once you get used to IBIS there is no turning back... The majority of GH5's users have already invested in expensive adaptors and fast glass, a combo where IBIS becomes a "must". It would be a pain in the @ss to manual focus a 1 kg glass while shooting handheld with no IBIS. 

? I was speaking about IBIS removal. I am fine with 10mp. As you say it is a video camera. Small video mirrorless should have IBIS, that's mainly a video feature.

No wonder why Casey tested it and dropped it for Canon. The guy couldn’t care less about C4K, but no better AF and losing IBIS ? I guess he laughed. Despite DPAF I would never use the 6D2 as he does though. Such a poor image quality. Even on YouTube 1st video he posted with the 6D, I thought something was super wrong and checked the YouTube video resolution because I thought I was 480p....
Anyway I am happy at least the GH5 and this one will push competition for the better thanks to features like 4K60p. Always good.

Wow I was such a good predictor lol. I threw away the A7RII a long time ago indeed. 
Unfortunately i forgot to mention at that time importance of AF and that is the miss of D850. Also I turned a lot more into Long multi day trekking in the mountain and the 1kg D850 does not help. 
So I will see Nikon FF mirorless this year. 
And A7SIII, GH5s....
in 2015 I had a dream: have a camera that is as good as D810 in Photo, and as good as it gets in video. Nobody seems to want to do that (best video stuff are GH series, A7S series and they really lack in landscape photography) so I accepted the idea of having two different bodies.

I hate buying let's say an A7SII right now when we know the III is around the corner. But not buying a camera 2 weeks after release because the next one is coming 2 years after?

It would still miss IBIS, would still miss 4K60P unfortunately. 

That's awesome. 60P 10 bit is really great. 1080 @240 is also great.

Since this is a new different sensor, having Phase Detection AF would be EVEN more great. I am not buying it without that, even if it would do 4K10bit @ 240p (well ok I would...)

Having lens IS or IBIS helps a lot. Even with perfect camera balance on a Gimbal, having both stabilization gives you better result. Many YouTube video prove that and experienced it myself. Even more true with longer lens.
Now be careful with the Crane M. It stabilizes less well than the normal version even for 500g camera. Now if your camera has good IBIS like GH5, I think you are good to go with the M

I sold the GH5 because of AF, it does not compare to A6500. 
My point of view is that Canon DPAF is the golden standard, it just works and is reliable enough for pro use. 
Then you have Sony A9 level. It is very good, just one step under DPAF but it works well and is enough for gimbal work. 

GH5 is not enough for gimbal work from my use. To many shots were it would hunt or just loose focus for 2-3seconds, and even when it is spot on you have some micro hunting happening in the bokeh. This is due to contrast af technology. 
I guess Panasonic did a great job for CAF type, they just used the wrong technology. 
 

Fuji X-H1 is coming. It will have 4K for sure, maybe 60p. F-LOG and IBIS are confirmed. Sounds good to me. 
Fuji color is great so is Fuji ergonomics and lenses. 

If the Fuji X-H1 has 4K60P, IBIS, F-LOG and a good AF, it will be a great competitor to GH5s and A7SIII. Maybe the sweet middle between the 2 later. 
Basically a A6500 but better (ergonomics, colors, lenses...).

Casey switched from Canon and Sony to using the Panasonic GH5 almost 90% of the time. He still has other cameras but it's the GH5 that really turned things around.
Canon failed to give YouTubers like him what they need... 4K, small file sizes, articulated screen, all in the same camera... so the 5D Mk IV for all it's Dual Pixel AF goodness languishes in the corner as do the 1080p Canons - Big up-swing in noticeable quality when Casey switched to the GH5's 10bit 4K.
Hopefully though, the number of out of focus shots in Casey's video where the camera selects the background instead of the subject will whip Panasonic into action to sort out some form of Dual Pixel AF competitor technology. Or maybe Casey doesn't mind... vlogging is a raw style, doesn't need to be formal and correct all the time. I do think AF in video mode is the next thing for Panasonic to get right though. It's a priority in my mind.

If what is real? We have 0 spec lol. 
The fact that the sensor (a sensor for security cameras by the way, nobody said the GH5s will have that sensor) does 4K120p does not mean the camera will do 4K120p at all. 
We have seen many many times capable sensor with a different output because of processing power or heat management. 
So we have nothing on the GH5s appart that it will be more low light oriented. 

But yeah if it does 4K120p with good AF and good lowlight, I am too getting one. If not then Sony will have my money with the A7SIII cause I am sure it will have A9 AF and FF is a bonus.

After watching a lot of videos, G9 AF is not that good. In many cases it fails even more than GH5 when tracking. 
My minimum acceptable level for video AF is A6500, or A9.
