Yeah the GH5 Vlog looks pretty good I must admit.

I know a few people got GH5 instead of A7III this year.. in fact there is still large number of people doesn't know about A7III at all! On some MV meeting I went to when they asked what camera i have they have a blank look when I told them I got A7III, but they respond when I said "and GH5s" with expression of oh I know that camera look.

On my side I prefer shorter battery life, it allows me to focus on the essential. I prefer the crop, it allows me to easily zoom and I can use my EFS lens when I want to go wide with the super nice 10-18mm. I prefer having Full HD 60p only, easier to edit than 4K60p! And lord knows how I prefer lower DR: it forces you to expose right.

seemingly something caused the fail, the seemingly flawed result, as it does not go along with my findings. Seemingly. Hard to believe that clipped footage is representing inferriour dr instead of a flawed test. Could be early date and sofore nle incompatibilities and different interpretation of material in the nle. different 0-255 ,16-235 in camera settings or interpretation in nle. If your findings are different I am sure it will influence your buying decision as you have posted a few posts ago. LIke I stated, sensor and/or pipe is much better in gh5 for video. My two cents and many of words.

It was shot in ISO 8000 and thats what we judge. And the remarks about "most whatching is done on 1080p" is not relevanat because in the very near future, it will change.

And sharpening algorithm tries to compete with my phone...

Tenticle syncs are cheaper, roughly $220 per camera, but only work if you're using an external audio recorder.

I have GH5,GH4,GX80 and BMMCC , and GH5 has biggest DR of all in 400 ISO , with less iso decreases DR.
BMMCC has smaller DR and noise shadow (in ProRes),  and other colors than Panasonics. 
The (CineD Hack) GX80 is more usable DR than BMMCC in ProRes

Not the greatest. I know they just announced a fall update that resolves a few color management problems they've had for quite some time, but I also know a lot of people (Myself included) have switched over to Davinci Resolve because of adobe's slow update schedule and instability. Blackmagic seems to implement new features faster than adobe can fix their old ones.

Maybe. But PDAF is good enough like with Sony and Nikon, so Panasonic should at least use that. Their AF is unacceptable and it’s a real shame when you see all the qualities in the GH5. It just missed FF and AF. So close.. but let’s see next week!
